My husband bought an SUV from Ringoes down the street. Since our mechanic was too far away to take it for a pre-purchase inspection, Ringoes recommended Precision. First, they quoted $100 for the inspection which was very high compared to all the other places we had gone. When he picked up the truck, he was charged $160. The only thing Precision found in the pricey "thorough" inspection was a slight noise in the struts. Upon taking it to our mechanic for a Pennsylvania inspection, he couldn't believe the amount of money that was charged for the inspection, and how much Precision missed in the inspection. He found broken motor mounts, soaked struts, cracked serpentine belt, among other things. Either Precision is in cahoots with Ringoes and purposely give good reports on their inspections of their used trucks or Precision is very incompetent. read more
