Not too sure what the hype was about. The pizza slide was pretty disappointing. $4 pizza was $4.36 in cash and $4.5 in card. Pretty sure there's a 3% cash surcharge so just be aware

My first time trying champion pizza and would definitely go back to try different items on the menu. I ordered to pick up: -Bianca -mac and cheese -Philly cheese steak All $5 each The pizza is 4 stars but docked a star cause of the service. I preordered to pick up at 10 pm and was their 10:05 and told them my name and the lady working there said it wasn't ready. So I'm just standing there and it was another 5 mins.. i don't see anyone taking out pizza from the oven. Then a guy calls me and says what's your name. I told him and he said it was been ready. So i was just standing there no reason and the pizza was kind of cold by then but still good.

I was skeptical coming in, as the parlor nearby had more customers. But never judge a book by its cover remains to be a classic saying, as this place was great! The worker was very kind, helping us to ultimately choose a Large Pie with mix toppings of Margherita and Sausage and Mushroom (~$25). This is a pretty rare option, as I have been tied to only 1 topping per pie in other stores. The pizza was so satisfying, with the perfect cheese pull and crust. The crust was not chewy at all! The Margherita Pizza was on the sweeter side, not the best I had, but it was still very well sauced. There is also something in their tomato sauce, as it stood out from the rest! They also did not skimp out on any toppings. Champion is sure to fix up any late night pizza needs! Plus, their interior was filled with a personal touch of celebrities posing with a man, that I could only assume was the owner.

Stopped by here as they have just opened. Love that they have pizzas on display and you can pick and choose which one you want. It's on the same block as Lucia's Pizza so competition is picking up! As for the slices, the toppings were plentiful and flavorful. However the crust was a bit too hard for my liking - perhaps it got cold on my walk home. But I will try their round slices next time and see how they compare. All in all, I would def come back and try their other pizzas! I also noticed they have chicken sandwiches as well as wings. Best of luck in Flushing! Always glad to see more Pizza options as there can never be too many options :)

This is a review of the $6 lunch special which includes 2 slices and 1 soda. The dough was chewy, paper thin, and the crunch was non-existent. The cheese they put on was probably fairy dusted on, as you can see only bare minimum. The worst was the sweet tasting sauce that wanted to make me gag. The sauce tasted like watered down Hunts ketchup. Unsure about trying their "normal" priced pizza upon trying this abomination.

Pizza was okay. I got a lot of slices to try but I felt that there just wasn't enough sauce on any of the slices. Thin crust pizza isn't usually my favorite but I wanted to give it another try. I feel that the crust didn't have much flavor overall. I really enjoyed the pesto Margherita pizza though. The pesto flavor was great and there was enough sauce on the slice. I do have to say that those garlic knots are out of this world. So fluffy and garlicky and delicious!

Something different to try in the area. I had the macaroni pizza and pineapple pizza. I like their thin and crispy crust, and they seem to be generous with the toppings. The wait wasn't that bad even though there was a line, I got my pizza 5 minutes after ordering. The decoration is nice, almost too nice compared to other quick bite places in the area.

We heard a lot about Champion Pizza and decided to try it since we had a pizza craving. We ended up ordering the margherita pesto, meat lover, pepperoni and mushroom, buffalo chicken, and the mac and cheese, because there were some slices that they did not have available. I love pepperoni and this is the first time I've tried the cup shaped ones. The pepperoni and mushroom was good, the meat lover was lacking in meat toppings, the buffalo chicken felt a little dry, and the mac and cheese did not stand out for me at all. Surprisingly, out of all of them margherita pesto was my favorite slice, and I don't even like pesto! If I were ever to come again, I would go for the best seller.

OVERPRICED FROZEN PIZZA Is the only right phrase to describe Champion Pizza. I paid about $23 (w/ tax) for a medium pepperoni pizza. The menu prices for this location needs to be updated. The pizza took a while to come out, and when it was finished cooking, the cashier just left it in the pizza box for several minutes before calling me to pick it up. The taste wasn't any better even. The pizza was soggy because of all the grease. There was barely any sauce and was just cheesy. The pizza was not baked long enough for the crisp and aroma. The pizza was not thin and probably would not be considered as New York style pizza. The only decent thing about the pizza would be the pepperoni. Honestly, it tastes like those frozen pizzas at tourist spots and amusement parks sell. Even dominos and Costco's pizzas has better flavor and is more crispy.

A lot of different pizza options, although there are many of them that have some form of bacon or ham in it. My favorite is the pepperoni pizza - they put a lot of pepperoni and very crunchy. The plain pizza is decent. Service is great- the people will let you know how long the pizza will take if not available, and sometimes may reheat the pizza again for you even though it came out from the oven 10 minutes ago. Ambiance is quite nice- they have a lot of pictures of celebrities with the owner, or articles about his charity efforts and such, which can keep you occupied. I do wish the TVs were placed in a more viewable angle, as I have to strain my neck a lot to watch. Not a big deal, but I do notice the couch is always occupied.

Haven't had any pizza like this since Pizza Palace on Bayard Street by Columbus Park closed. Easy to eat half a pie by oneself. Crispy, thin crust, perfect amount of sauce and oil (about 2 drips per plain slice, not drowning, but reminds you that this is true NYC pizza), lightly cheesed, but still has a good stringy mozzarella pull. For a similar, but slightly thicker (100% yum factor) NYC slice, it's Manos in Ridgewood. For, the thinnest and crispiest plain slice in NYC, Louie's is the standard bearer. Parked in front, ordered a whole pie, ran inside, threw down some cash, waited outside for the fresh pie to bake. 10 minutes later the owner (possibly Louie hisself) delivers the fresh pie to my car outside and actually thanks me. True Twilight Zone stuff. I scarf a fresh, hot slice straight from the carton before stowing the balance back to Long Island for additional reheat confirmation. With all the political nonsense ongoing, thank Goodness that a righteous, NYC plain slice is still alive, well and residing in un-hipster, un-gentrified, un-apologetically friendly-neighborhood Spiderman Elmhurst. "Best NYC style pizza" is a term that is minimized and bandied about every time some new $60, limited-run, kraft pizza from Japan is the current darling. We submit that this is not the case here. May Louie's be here after all the LES, deep dish, 3 Michelin star bakers and pizza itamae have exhausted their day in the limelight - and leases. $20 all-in (until the hipster masses beat a path here to make Louie's their pizza crusade ) Thank you Louie for giving us working class masses the best, true, unlimited, unpretentious, no-lines, no soup Nazi, no upsell, satisfyingly NYC pizza a $20 can still buy. PS: please don't renovate or move as your pizzeria is a time-capsule whose prime ingredient is sincerity.

I always wanted to stop by here for a slice after watching the owner and father's heroic effort protecting an Asian lady who was being robbed in front of their store. Slice was solid at $3. OK looking undercarriage but limited floop. Only knock is bottom had too much flour remaining. Solid neighborhood spot. People were getting pasta dishes too. Ample seating. Friendly staff.

Particularly considering their cooking on a gozney oven stuffed into a food cart. It's actually a gas fired oven so it's more wood oven style. But that matters little for the taste. I went with a pepperoni and asked to add hongos to which the pizzaolo obliged my request. About 5 minutes later I was handed a piping hot pie and charged $14. But it was only after my first bite when I knew what a steal this is. The crust was nicely charred but also a delicate chew. The sauce is fresh, tangy with a great tomato flavor. The cheese must have had done parm sprinkled on because it was way for flavorful than mozz alone. And toppings tasted fresh and were plentiful. Impressive for sure. The block where the cart sits is super quiet with only a laundromat and another street vendor selling some leche de arroz. I'll have to wash my next pue down with sone of that next time. Nowhere to sit so it's more of a Togo or delivery setup. I'll def be ordering from here again in the future. I can't help think how much hype this cart would have in a more active and affluent area.
