I was surprised to see all the bad reviews here. I had a great experience, but then again I didn't buy anything yet, which is why I am only leaving 4 out of 5 stars. Came here to look at a bike with my boyfriend because I am thinking of buying one. I don't know much about motorcycles but I am interested in learning, yet also a bit intimidated. Service was great! The staff was very helpful and informative, but didn't pressure us to buy anything or "act now before this promotion ends!" (Which has happened at other places). They also didn't make me feel intimidated or ignorant for being a bike newbie. On the contrary, the guy had me sit on several bikes and patiently held the bike while I balanced with my feet on the pegs so I could feel what position I would be in while riding. Overall I would definitely return here to buy something, but still would be cautious based on the experiences that other yelp reviewers have had here! read more

There was a recall on my Honda. I called Champion and spoke with Abby. She could not have been more courteous and friendly. I felt like I was talking to a friend. I brought my bike in and the issue was fixed by the next day. Other dealerships I spoke with were abrupt and disinterested but not Abby. I'll do all my business with Champion from now on. read more

My experience with Champion Honda has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I purchased an OEM battery for my 2013 Honda F6B, and despite keeping the bike on a trickle charger, the battery died prematurely. I brought it back to the dealership, where it took about a day and a half just to get a warranty replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement battery was also defective. After installing it, I made it only about 1.5 miles before the bike completely died, leaving me stranded on the roadside. I had to arrange towing, which could have easily been avoided if proper quality checks were done. When I called Champion Honda to resolve the issue, I spoke to multiple people and got nowhere. No accountability, no urgency, and no real solution--just more hoops to jump through. What makes this even worse is their pricing. Many of their parts are marked up 40%+ compared to OEM parts available online, which is excessive by any standard. You would expect better service and reliability if you're paying that kind of premium--but that has not been the case here. Between defective products, poor service, and inflated pricing, this has been one of the worst dealership experiences I've had. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Haven't been here in years!! Saw the new ownership sign and decided to give them another try. Brought my bike in for service, parts were in stock, and got my bike back the next day. Highly recommend!!! Totally different atmosphere!!!! Check them out read more

I recently visited Champion Honda's showroom in Hicksville. It's not nearly as large and impressive as a Harley store but that's understandable. I did meet with salesperson Joey Araujo. He was very friendly and accommodating and showed me several new Honda motorcycles. Unfortunately I'm just a bit too short to ride a new Goldwing. But I'd return for something smaller if the day comes. read more

*salesman (older slim build with dark hair) cursed and use homophobic slurs in front of children -other customers where in showroom as well Salesman are very unprofessional and aggressive, things got physical after salesmen got into my father's face. After 15min of trying to get a price salesman kept trying to switch things, my father eventually asked "can you just tell me how much" the salesman tore up the paperwork and began cursing in my fathers face (father pushed the gentleman back to distance himself after he was backed up against a motorcycle) salesman followed us outside continued cursing and yelling read more

They don't even deserve the 2 star rating they have!!!! I walked in asking for gear oil and the MAINTENANCE GUY says use transmission oil are you kidding me? I've been there three times. Each time I got a huge negative vibe! was gonna buy a Goldwing! but they skeeved me out. I bought a Goldwing elsewhere (way cheaper) but was gonna use their servicing cause they're close to home, but received the same negative vibe! no wonder why their lot is empty! Their customer service skills is non-existent! Honda should step in if they want to sell. These salesmen ooze flim flammery! read more

I had been shopping around for 4x4 rancher models for about a month. Couldn't find one I was happy making a deal on. Finally called Champion after my father recommended them as he had purchased his rancher 350 here 20 years ago. I got in contact with Steve and he was very responsive and so easy to work with. Answered all my questions through email in timely manner, and explained the financing over the phone for me. Approval process was quick and painless. I can't say enough about Joey! Friendly and helpful from the very start. He made our purchase for our son extremely exciting that my husband impulsively Bought himself something too! Thanks Joey and the rest of the gang at Champion Honda! read more

WARNING! Avoid this dealership at all costs! The customer service is ridiculously horrible. When attempting to purchase brake pads...the parts salesman left the showroom and went outside to drive a fork lift...with me standing there waiting! There were THREE other employees standing around in the empty showroom doing absolutely nothing. It was 19 minutes before the parts guy returned to take my payment. No apology. This was my second (they were rude and unhelpful the first time...but I figured everyone deserves a second chance) and last time conducting business with Champion, as this establishment is a disgrace to the Honda brand. read more

Called Champion Honda to inquire if I could see there showroom stock and was immediately helped by Joey who helped me through my entire process from choosing the right bike right to the end. Joey was patient and didn't push for an immediate sale and let me take my time with the bike. He made the whole process smooth for me and handled most of they heavy lifting. When my choice was made he even helped find insurance to help a new rider. Steve also helped me choose proper safety gear that fit properly. The staff also wanted to make sure I made it home back safely which definitely was a cherry on top. I would definitely go back again to buy another bike. read more

You will be sorry for even stepping foot in this dealership. Please listen to all the other reviews, do yourself a favor and take the drive to Riverhead to the other dealership where they are actually normal. IT IS WORTH THE DRIVE, I PROMISE. And you may think - "Oh I don't care if someone is rude to me, I am just there to buy this or that" - Well when you cant get in touch with anyone, when they have no idea when they get shipments, when the manager actually YELLS at you on the phone you will be singing a different tune. Go to Riverhead Honda and give them your business - they are nice and actually like to work and help people. This location has so many complaints against it with Honda and they are getting another one. Every person that works here is rude and incompetent. It was a nightmare from the moment we stepped foot into the business, specifically the manager with the glasses. Never in my life have I ever been spoken to the way these employees spoke to me over the course of my dealings with them. Go to Riverhead or Danbury (it's actually not that far) - this is not a joke. read more

Simply put, the parts guy with the glasses who also handles service is a rude asshole. Not willing to help you out at all and I'm has terrible customer service. Waste of time. They advertise bikes and have zero in stock. Went there to make a purchase and was told they have'nt had inventory in two years. Bought my first motorcycle here. They wouldn't talk to me about prices until I sat on a bike, which is odd because most places have prices right on the bike. I chose a leftover 2017 cb500x, which Craig said he would discount and never did. In fact, they overcharged me by about $1400. They didn't explain the finances to me and turns out they signed me up for a credit card which charged about 26% if the bike wasn't paid off within a year. I never received the credit card they had signed me up for either. I know I should've read through the paperwork thoroughly, but when it's your first bike, you kinda get overwhelmed by excitement. Needless to say, they overcharged me and were fake about taking care of me as a customer. Don't let my review stop you from shopping here. But heed the warning that they will screw you with a smile. read more

I'm seriously considering calling the police on this dealership. I'm from NJ. Sold me a used scooter beginning of July. I went to get it registered and couldn't because there's a lien on it from previous owner who traded it in. I call the dealer spoke to Craig and Steve both claim they gave me a lien release letter, total lie ! I got in contact with original owner who says he's be chasing them for weeks to pay off the bike since he traded in on a larger bike from them. Now they claim I have to wait another 2 weeks for a lien release letter. Beware of these dishonest people ! $3000 scooter I can't ride and don't even own apparently read more

Terrible business. How is calling the parts department a hassle for them. The elderly sounding woman who answers the phone is horribly inept at her skill'less job. You literally just have to answer the phone and transfer it or don't answer it if you have a stick up your a**. part 1- very rude head salesmen (bald guy) walked In with a friend looking to buy 2 dirt bikes we started to look at some bikes no prices were listed when we asked for help the salesmen stayed seated at his desk with his feet up , then asked me and my friend if we were serious buyers.. (we both had cash in hand and had plans to take bikes the same day) after he got up.. we asked a price on a bike his response was "it can be any price I make it" i Did not know how to respond to that so I asked some questions about the bike ,I was interested in any question I asked he had a wise remark it was like he did not even want to help us . My buddy got the same vibe so we left and went over to Yamaha in Hicksville 1 mile away and bought 2 bikes the same day.. with good respectful staff ended up going to Honda for some 2 stroke oil few months after Got the same disrespectful treatment for asking simple questions about a bike on the show room floor... its like they don't want to sell anything . ended up just going over to the back counter to parts. took about 10 min for the parts guy to finish his sandwich to grab 2 pints of oil behind the counter.. after waiting and handing me the oil I seen he had a black eye and a fat lip. i wonder why.. stay away from this place sadly if u have a Honda motorcycle you have to deal with these fools read more

for anyone that is even considering any type of business with this spefic dealer! read this! i purchased a brand new 2018 honda cbr 1000 rr in march at a great honda dealer in maryland. i brought it home to long island and at about 600 miles went in for an oil change. i called ahead of time and was told the oil change is $53.00. i dropped off my bike, went to pick it up 2 hours later. steve dutchman charged me $302.39. i was shocked, there isn't any point of communicating with this ignorant, self centered, narcissistic man. " i did a full service" he said, but who asked you too? i came in for an oil change. when i came home, i saw oil leaking from my bike, he did not even properly screw it back one. the under hood of my brand new bike was covered in dirty oil. i had to take apart the entire frame of my bike to properly wash what he damaged for hours. i called international honda, honda customer service, my sales dealership in maryland. they all said he over charged and abusing the fact that he is the only dealer in nassau county. it has been 2 weeks that i have religiously tried to contact steve dutchman and have been ignored i will report this business to the town of hempstead and have this theif stopped. read more

The previous reviews speak for themselves. Their "cost" price they give you is hogwash. Just a gimmick to make you think their overpriced deal is worthwhile. Not only that they'll waste your time and avoid answering specific questions. Short answer; don't even bother calling them read more

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT visit this Honda dealer !! Craig Miller is a crook. My 22 year old son went to this dealership to purchase a CRF 110 dirt bike they had in stock. This was his first finance purchase on his own. It was priced at $2599. After my son gave him his information to run the credit check Craig came back with the final numbers on the bike, $4790 !!!!! My son asked why was the price so much more. Craig claimed it was the extended warranty, and a special battery that was on the bike. When my son told him he didn't want the extended warranty Craig said I can't sell you the bike if you don't take the warranty. My son asked for a copy of the paperwork and was told no, you'll get everything when you get the bike. Because it was almost closing time Craig said he would run the credit and let him know. Then asked for a deposit. My son left $500 cash. On his way home Craig called and said he was approved. After my son got home he felt he was being taken advantage of. So the next morning he called Craig and said he didn't want the bike. Well Mr. Miller refused to return my sons money. And told him there was a $1500 cancellation fee !!! My son was polite (at first) saying this was his birthday cash he was using to buy the bike. And even told him to keep $200 for prepping the bike. But Craig could care less. It was less that 24hrs that my son left that deposit. When my son asked Craig why didn't you tell me about no refund and the cancellation fee he replied and I quote " You didn't ask " Craig took advantage of my son. He saw this young guy walking in and tried to get as much $$ out of him as he could. When we looked at the deposit receipt under the card where he purposely stapled to hide what it said. it says no refunds. I have since filed a claim with Honda. This business should be shut down. As far as Craig goes....karma Craig... karma ! PS We didn't and wouldn't pay that ridiculous $1500 cancellation fee. read more

My son wanted a Grom so he popped in to the local Honda shop. He's 21 so he shouldn't need a babysitter, but still a newbie in the real world and Champion (Craig) took advantage. They didn't bang him hard but got him none the less. First they had him sign the finance agreement and bill of sale BLANK! I called Craig and he denies that, but hey wouldn't you. Second the amount financed is $89 more than the bill of sale. The first time my son even saw the finance agreement after signing it was when he looked at it on the Honda Finance website after it was processed. I asked Craig where his copy was a day after he picked up the bike he said it was all done electronically. When was the last time you bought a bike or car and didn't see a completed finance agreement AND take a copy home....NEVER! Finally we all know the dealerships make money on the interest rate. Usually a point or two. Good old Craig is probably making 4 or 5. My sons credit score is 700, but his interest rate is 9.39%. Again, he didn't know because he wasn't give a completed contract. Craig had him sign it blank. Do what you want with the information. At the end of the day you may be OK with the rate and that's fine, but you should be able to make the decision for yourself. On a deal this size we're only talking about a four hundred bucks or so but that's not the point. read more

Dropped off my 07 zx6r for service & parts. had to replace front fairing, do some rewiring on the electronics as it was shorting, winterize + storage for all winter. They advertised storage as $75/mo on their emails, but didnt say that that promo is only till black friday, and after that is $85/mo. fastforward 3 months later, called up for the quote, was quoted over the phone $750 + storage depending on when i pick it up. I go in a week later, final price came down to whopping $1600! They did not disclose the labor fee or the taxes over the phone. $750 for parts, $400 for labor, $300 for storage, $150 for taxes (all rough figures). Also charged $500 for front fairing piece, You can get entire body fairing kit for that price. They have a disclosure that they only install parts bought from their catalog because of "liability issues" People are nice, service and the job done was good, but the prices are just outrageous. Also they dont check their emails so dont bother. They have an email address on their website and an email address that they use to send out newsletters (which is on their business card) but they do not reply to either. poor business management.
