I am also a firm believer in supporting local businesses, so I brought my Kawasaki to Powerhouse. I requested a tune-up, air filter, and oil change. Aside from the fee, I left a tip hoping to establish a good connection with the owner. One year later, in April 2024, I brought my motorcycle again to Frank for oil, filter change, and tune-up. One month after the "service", the mirror needed to be replaced, and a minor oil leak, as per Frank, required fixing. After a couple of days, I picked up my bike. Frank told me: "You would not believe how dirty the oil was"! I replied, "Frank, do you keep records of what you do? I paid you to change the oil less than one month ago." I got on the motorcycle to go home. After one mile or so, the hot oil busted out of the engine and started to splatter all over. I quickly returned to the shop. Needless to say, I was angered by the events. Without commenting, I left the motorcycle with Frank. A couple of days later, Frank called asking me to pick up the motorcycle. He was irritated that I could not pick up the vehicle that very day. During our tense conversation, Frank tried BLAMING ME for his botched "repairs" and his evident neglect. He also said that he "would not charge me this time." I mean, how much more arrogant can one be? At the end of the exchange, I gave him a piece of my mind, and he apologized. Fast forward three months, I took the motorcycle to a trusted mechanic in another state. It turned out that the air filter, for which I paid twice, was never changed. The filter that we took out was at least 10 years old. I doubt that the oil was ever changed because it was as dirty as can be. This story is very troubling and should serve as a warning to Frank's future customers. I was not only cheated but literally, my life was endangered because Frank didn't care to take the vehicle for a test ride before giving it back to me. I have photographs and videos to back up my claims. I hope you are reading this, Frank. I told you I was a photographer. You should have been careful, not to mention honest with me.

When I returned, I was told no work was performed due to parts availability. However, the shop cut off the muffler support clamp because it was "loose" and returned the bike without replacing it. This is a structural exhaust support. Without it, the bike is unsafe to ride and at risk of further damage. When I raised this, I was told the part would take 6-8 weeks and that there was nothing they could do. When I asked for a solution, I was told they no longer wanted my business. The manager (John) ignored multiple callbacks and was dismissive and rude in person. I'm sharing this so others are aware: my scooter was returned in worse--and unsafe--condition than when I brought it in, with no accountability or resolution.

My experience with salesman Tony was extremely disappointing. During the sales process, I was told that several items--including the GPS, warranty, service, and alarm--were included in the deal. I relied on those representations when agreeing to the purchase. After the deal was completed, I discovered that $1,850 in additional charges for those items had been added to my loan. That is not a minor misunderstanding. That is a significant amount of money, and it completely changed the financial terms of the deal I believed I had agreed to. I immediately challenged the charges and demanded that the situation be corrected. To their credit, the finance manager ultimately reimbursed me the full $1,850 in cash, and I have a text confirmation documenting that reimbursement. But here's the problem: I should never have had to fight to get that money back in the first place. A motorcycle dealership should operate on transparency and trust. If a salesperson tells a customer something is included in the purchase price, the customer should be able to rely on that statement--not discover after the paperwork is signed that thousands of dollars have been added to the financing. The fact that I ultimately received my $1,850 back does not erase the experience or the complete lack of confidence it created in the transaction. My advice: get EVERY promise in writing, scrutinize every line of the purchase agreement and financing documents, and do not assume that anything a salesperson tells you is actually included unless you can see it in writing. I walked into Bellmore Harley-Davidson expecting to buy a motorcycle and trust the people selling it to me. I walked away feeling like I had to fight to make sure I wasn't charged for things I was told were already included. Tony and Bellmore Harley-Davidson: this is not how you earn a customer's trust--or their repeat business. Five stars? Absolutely not. My experience: 1/5.

So I paid the local chapter dues only to be taken for a ride, because I never received anything and now almost a year I should get a refund because it's not fair to pay get jack squat In return. I maxxed out my torque wrench trying to hit the amount they torqued it down. Not only is that potentially damaging to my rotors I got injured removing it. I had to jump with all my weight on a 25 inch breaker bar and still wasn't budging. I eventually got them. But I'm not sure if I damaged my impact wrench. If you were stranded on the road 99% of people would never be able to remove a tire without professional help after bringing your car here. Never again. Also they quoted us nearly $2k for a job that we ended up getting done for $900. Edit to add: Just to address the owner's response- I never said a service date, so not sure how he's trying to "verify" anything. It happened. They were the last shop to service the car and it was only that tire they fixed, and that tire that was nearly impossible to remove. Whoever put it back on was probably being lazy that day and used an air impact gun. Don't try to fool the yelp community because now you just look worse in my eyes (and I'm sure others are smart enough to understand you're making excuses to try to discredit me). An apology, and a genuine offer to reimburse me for the service rendered would get you a lot further.
