Exceptional customer service! I had a wonderful experience working with Champion Energy. Everyone was friendly, responsive, and genuinely interested in helping. A special thank you to Katherine, who provided some of the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. She was incredibly kind, professional, and went the extra mile to make sure my questions were addressed and my needs were taken seriously. Her dedication and willingness to help really stood out. It's refreshing to see a company that empowers its employees to take care of customers. Based on my experience, I would absolutely recommend Champion Energy. read more

Champion has always been straightforward with my family. Sometimes the bills are high in Texas' summers and winters. But I can commend them that my power didn't go out even when we had power outages and blackouts for several years in Dallas. And they gave me quick updates on storms and if there was an outage from Oncor. The SmartTrack emails are a great help to see what time and temperatures you are using the most electricity. I also appreciate it is a consistent flat rate. Happy to be a customer! read more

Love this company. If you want to save some money when you sign up you can use my code ESEBEK001 to get $100 off of your second bill.

I haven't even started service and found a much better electric plan. They are charging a $250 cancellation fee.

STAY AWAY especially if you travel out of town a lot! VERY UNHAPPY!! WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!! I would give them NEGATIVE-10! was with them for 8 years, went out of town for 6 weeks, and missed a couple of emails since i get so much spam... they only emailed me one disconnection notice of which I missed and then never sent me another and just kept on sending me latest bills indicating my bill was due at a specific date and I assumed I was on track. No follow up emails warning me or telling me im overdue! WORSE COMMUNICATION PROCESS FOR DISCONNECTION! See attachment... just says bill is due on the 9th of February. No indication of over due account or cancellation. They even cancelled my account!!!! They had no compassion or willing to help me get it back faster or give me some compensation. The manager was just talking over me and being extremely rude! VERY UNHAPPY!! WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!! Sorry cant attach anything like I can on google reviews. read more

Tried enrolling in new EV plan, but after submitting order, Champion revealed security deposit that was required, but not communicated on front end. After talking to customer service, it will not be waived despite a 800+ credit score. I also have to wait 10 days in order to cancel this order now, and phone support is unable to cancel per my request. No customer service manager or supervisor was available to speak to me, so I am trapped with service that I did not want for 10 days. read more

False Advertisement!!! I feel like I'm stuck with this company at this point due the unpredictable prices. I received email to renew at 10.1 not even a week ago. Today I sent to renew it was giving me 10.6. The email stated I had until March 15th to get the 10.1 rate. They would not honor the emailed prices!! Buyer beware. read more

After one full calendar year of using Champion Energy vs. Reliant, I have calculated that we have saved over $1000 for the year. This reflects a 38 percent decrease in the cost of our energy in 2020 (using Champion) compared with 2019 (using Reliant). Very happy with Champion Energy. I only wish I'd switched over to them sooner! read more

Even though the prices have tripled, I'm with Champion because the prices are lower than other competitors. All the energy companies costs are Hwy robbery in my opinion. I dislike Champion joined the bandwagon, they were great when I first started with them. "You can get more bees with honey." Nice deals/prices = more customers. You guys will want to use this code DDAVEN005 when you start services to get $50 off your bill. It'll help you greatly in these times. read more

HORRIBLE. Run from this company and find another. The service USED to be good but since Covid they totally suck. The website doesn't work, they don't answer emails and forget about calling unless you want to hold for hours and then get disconnected. I have been trying to login to my account for weeks and it keeps telling me I need to reset my password and I will get link to do so...well that never happens. I am supposed to get bills via email....that doesn't happen either. Finally got through today after a month of trying to contact them and finally hit the option of New Service and got some ding bat on the phone who transferred me to another department who never answered the call. Don't sign a contract with them. On October 25th I requested for my service to be TRANSFERRED November 4th to a new unit, same apartment complex. I stated I'd be permanently moved out on the 5th, but they said that was a Sunday and they'd transfer me the 4th. Apparently during the call they said the account transfers on the 4th but closes the old account on DEC 6th and I didn't catch that..admittedly I was multitasking, traveling for work and just tryna get it done. However.. I'm not thinking they are charging me for two apartments. Especially when I stated I'd be officially moved the 5th..When I tell them we will be living in the new apartment on a specific date WHY WOULD I PAY FOR ANOTHER APARTMENTS ELECTRICITY IM NOT LIVING IN. So Nov 14, after I've traveled more for work I catch up on emails and get a weekly report for two apartments. I catch the mistake and call them. Then they placed the blame on me saying I agreed to that and it was in the email and I should of checked. I ask why would I pay for two places??. I wasn't explicitly told I'd be charged for two apartments and wasn't explicitly asked if I wanted to continue paying for the old unit. They said they assumed and don't ask cause many people do it for different reasons. But from me saying we are moving and will be in a new place by a certain date you can't ASSUME I'm NOT paying for another unit?? and when I say TRANSFER, I'd assume I would pay for ONE place. Absolute BS. They cut off the service at the old place after I got pissed but I pay for that week or so. It's not even just about the money but the principle. I try to be nice to reps all the time cause I know the feeling but that was absolutely ridiculous. I use to tell my friends it was a straightforward and reliable company but I'll be steering people away now and can't wait to be out of my contract. I hate untrustworthy companies. read more

I am now going on well over a year with Champion Energy. Still on the same "Champ Saver-24" plan and rate. My contract ends this coming August and as of right now I am planning on resigning with this company because I have enjoyed the ride so far! Still no complaints and my bills have been consistent each month. Although with summertime approaching I do expect to run the AC a little more. Here is a summary of my previous reviews for those that don't want to read through them. There are several different plans to meet anybody's needs. Some plans have incentives, for instance the one I chose offers $50 in LED light bulbs, as well as a $50 rebate when purchasing a smart thermostat. I can confirm that Champion Energy does honor both of those (they will send a separate email with instructions on how to redeem after you sign up). The LED light bulbs are still working and I haven't purchased any additional since receiving the $50 voucher. When I moved apartments, Champion Energy transferred my electricity plan without hassle. Same plan, same rate, and it only took one phone call. Besides that I am also very appreciative of their "Connect-A-Friend" program. You don't have to sign up for it as it is automatic upon selecting a plan. They will assign you a unique referral ID that allows you to earn credit each time someone signs up using your ID. It's a beneficial way to share the company and help people you know that are searching for an electricity plan. It's a win-win for all parties involved. For instance, sign up using my referral ID: BLe51463 and both of us will receive a $50 bill credit that rolls over till it runs out. I'm highlighting that this program works and is a part of the allure to Champion Energy. read more

I've officially had Champion Energy for my electric service for over a year and I am very pleased. I will say that the new website is not very mobile friendly like the old website. Really good, fast customer service. Jasmine is great! I definitely recommend to anyone looking for energy services in North Texas.

Everything has continued to be great! No spikes in pricing during the freeze in February either which I really appreciated.

I have been with Champion for 4 months and just signed a second contract with them after my 3-month introductory contract expired. I've found them to be very helpful and responsive when I have questions: very easy to reach. More importantly, they've gone above and beyond to make things right when I've had concerns with anything. I originally figured I'd hop from provider to provider to take advantage of low promotional rates, but I've decided to stick with Champion and pay a tiny bit extra for their superior service. Definitely feel confident that they will have my back on an ongoing basis, which is worth the extra few dollars I might pay in a month relative to whatever someone else's low promotional rate is. Highly recommend! read more

Use Code AWazir24916 for $50 off of your bill!! I've used Champion Energy for a little while now. Great Service, and has always been low/reasonably priced. Have no complaints with them at all. I am really grateful to have them because my last energy company would have sporadic pricing on the bills... with some hidden fees and stuff. Luckily, I can honestly say that Champion Energy has done none of that! Honestly, you can't go wrong with this company. read more

Sounds like they recently went thru a "system migration" which has caused me issues in simply paying my bill. I have been paying my bill via their site for months with no issues. Now, issues are apparently the new norm. Customer service appears to be unable to answer pretty basic questions. They are unable to explain why the normal payment methods which are presented to a Champion customer when they login no longer work. They can offer workarounds to pay your bill though. If the workaround is what a customer should be doing to pay their bills, perhaps that should be the option presented to a customer when they login. I have sent emails to "info" and "customercaremanager" and haven't heard a thing. At this point, it would be surprising to hear back. I do sympathize with their "customer service" folks as they are typically the last to be updated on changes and are tasked with assisting paying customers. Champion has become a loser in my book. read more

Get a $50 bill credit with my referral ID MFassnacht56386. :) This is my second year on Champion Energy's 12-month fixed rate plan, and I've been very happy with it. The price per kWh is pretty low compared to other providers and plans, and Champion's online tools are great. One of my favorite features is how easy it is to track usage--Champion sends a detailed usage report at the end of each week with a monthly bill projection. It's nice staying updated and knowing what to expect. My couple experiences with customer service have gone smoothly as well. And of course, the $50 bill credit for referrals is a great perk. The fixed rate did increase with my second contract term (my only complaint), but this was true across the board for competing companies. It was still a great deal in comparison, so I chose to renew. Hope this review is helpful! :) read more

This company is a complete scam. Do not use. They will bill you completely differently than what they tell you. They sell you one thing at a low rate per kWh and then tell you it includes all fees. Then they add fees that all other 3rd part energy companies generally include. They flat out lie and deceive. And good luck getting out. Awful company. You will notice they don't have any reviews anywhere because they have obviously hidden them because they are such a scam network. Notice that all of their good reviews are just people promoting a discount code, not actual users of their "service" which ends up with fees costing more than your total energy usage by 200%. read more
