Met them at a home and garden show here in Buffalo this past spring. We talked at length about putting in a back yard patio...blah blah blah all these amazing things they promised. Chameleon did a great job on our pool and concrete. We decided to go with Chameleon because we needed a lot of concrete work done. We replaced our 16 x 24 foot pressure treated deck with a fabulous stamped concrete patio that leads right into and around the pool. One of my favorite parts of the pool is the canteliever edge - the stamped concrete goes right up to and into the top of the pool - it's a really great look. I was impressed with the organization of the various crews that worked on our install. The installers really had their act together - it was awesome to watch them transform our yard. I would avoid Chameleon Pools and Concrete at all costs. After doing a decent job at my place (it has odd markings that they said would go away and haven't) they did a job at my neighbors and my fathers houses. They screwed up my neighbors so bad the owner, Bob, came over to see it. Bob got into a FIGHT with the sales guy on my neighbors premises. Bob then argued with my neighbor, not wanting to compensate them for screwing up, and left the job unfinished. Then after a few weeks my fathers concrete started to show oil marks and looked bad. Bob came out there and was completely disrespectful and rude and walked out in a fury offering no options to my parents to correct the ugliness. After several weeks, my 60+ mother and father went to their office, after Chameleon wouldn't return any calls, to drop off a note and to talk with the office manager, Eric. At that time, Bob verbally and the PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED my father! As my father was walking out, from behind Bob pushed my father. Bob then yelled at my mother saying "did you see him push me?" My father never touched him and has filed a small claims suite against him and is pressing charges against Bob. The owner is obviously crazy and has anger issues, and Chameleon does poor work! They're 0-3! I question the old review on that site saying Bob is great. I would bet he wrote that trying to balance all the other reviews saying the opposite! Why would you title a review of a business like that unless you had other motives??? So, if you want this type of behavior when paying someone thousands of dollars, then they're right for you! STAY AWAY!!! This business is beyond description. I recently won a judgement against them for work, the judge hearing the case, described as "not completely performed in a workman like manner". He also determined " that the reasonable care and competence owed to the claimant was lacking...and the claimant did not get the "full" benefit of the bargain". Pictures that were submitted to the court indicated to the presiding judge "a lack of reasonable care in this instance". He went on to state that the evidence reflected that the defendant(Chameleon Concrete) fell short of the mark in performing the "complete" job in a "workmanlike manner". Be careful before signing a contract! During the case, their work was described by the owner of the company as "not being perfect". The judge was told that all perspective customers were warned not to expect perfection(which was definitely untrue). How many perspective customers would sign a contract after hearing that gem? There are many reliable companies that do the work that this company attempts to do. You would be wise to look into them. Beginning with large patches of concrete left by the cleanup crew in our front yard, permanent dark drip marks left all over our stamped concrete, poor sealing, to having to get forceful to get anyone to even come back to look over our complaints, this was a disaster!! If I could give them zero stars I would. I scheduled a closing over a month ago and they call me with less than 24 hour notice with some crazy excuse that now all of a sudden they only close pools they build. I had problems with them before but a lot of the people that work for them are very nice so I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Maybe I just had a bad lemon. Like the other reviewer, I would schedule something and they wouldn't show. They always seem to blame the poor person on the phone even when I call a day before to confirm. The owner is unwilling to work with anyone because of scheduling problems on their end. Very very poor business practices. DO NOT use Chamaeleon pools. Spend a little more and go with a reputable company. read more

Overall satisfied with the work Chamelon pools and concrete did for us. We had a gunite pool and concrete patio work done. There were a few issues that came up along the way but were resolved, however there seems to be some communication problems amongs the workers. My advise to you is to be home as much as possible for the duration of the project. read more
