If you don't like a great dive bar then you're a silly goose who cannot be trusted. Drinks are cheap, people are eccentric, and it's just a perfect charming place that I hope never changes.

Cool regulars, including the one sleeping in the corner. Prices so reasonable the Brit next to me had to ask "really"? Great selection on the jukebox, I Learned the Hard Way it does not give change. Worth it though. Susie's been the barkeep for 40+ years, starting when she was approximately two years old. Her husband and daughter are artists, which is why she has to work so hard.

How can one not like this place? . I mean this place is a hole in the wall. Across from the arena golden one center. This is the spot for cheap drinks vs the over price drinks in the arena. We come here to pre drink for every concert. . So they have mix drinks and beer. It will be a happy place for everybody. . I like coming here for their pbr because for a giant 40oz bottle in glass is only 7 bucks. I mean it's like drinking a pitcher. I mean if you think this cheap beer ain't gonna get you buzz, I say try it. It's a quiet and chill spot to come here and drink. . So mix drinks. I dont know because I usually just go to the well vodka and cranberry for 4 bucks and hey! Its lit! After the first shot. . So yea I always have a good time when I'm here. I created good memories with everyone I come with and introduce to. If you want to pre drink with me before an event or concert, I'm most likely here ;) thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day!

If you have ever seen my check-ins, it should be abundantly clear by now that I enjoy adult beverages. Especially in the company of others who don't think twice about letting loose on a Wednesday night. To hell with tomorrow morning, right? Chamber Room is a classic dive. It's in a sketchy part of downtown that I never frequent, surrounded by glowing neon signs advertising bail bonds because, well, we're apparently right by the jail. The great attraction is the deal on PBR. $4 for a 24oz tall can or $5 for a 40oz bottle. Aside from robbing a liquor store, that price can't be beat. It should also be noted that service was friendly and the ladies' room was particularly clean (not surprising when the bartender is female). Jukebox is a TouchTunes and unfiltered. This is definitely the new spot to pregame an event at the new arena.

Our first time here, Jackson was so welcoming. He made sure we were well accommodated. For sure we'll stop by again!

Gearing up for another game at Golden1. Perfect place to load up on inexpensive drinks before heading over to watch the Kings and pay premium prices for drinks.

Security checked our IDs at the door, and once we walked in, the bar area was packed. Luckily, there were reserved booths nobody was using and my girl, and I sat there since the main bar was crowded. It actually worked out perfect for us. It gave us space to sit, relax, and have a good conversation without feeling cramped. We ordered a couple of colorful drinks that were nicely balanced and flavorful, not too overpowering, and easy to enjoy. The music was hip-hop which is right up my alley, so the vibe was definitely on point. What really stood out was the atmosphere. I've never been in a bar quite like this where jellyfish were hanging from the ceiling, and a whole underwater theme. I was told a mermaid appears over the bar at certain times, but sadly, I didn't get to see her this visit. Overall, it was a great spot to end the night after the movie. Good drinks, good music, and a unique sea-themed vibe. If I return, I will hope to see a mermaid

The bar tenders have horrible customer service even when the bar isn't busy. It seems like they rather hang out and chat with regulars and friends than serve paying customers. The security guards we're blatantly discriminating against my friend for no good reason. Also, security apparently accepts bribes at the front door to let people in, so much for safety. The drinks were in my opinion overpriced and didn't taste good. Maybe I'm biased because my whole experience here put a complete sour taste in my mouth. Then, to top it all off my friends and I were being harassed by two patrons who had clearly been overserved the entire time we were there. We had no choice but to leave and we will never be back again! After visiting I wanted to leave a review because I felt other people should steer clear. To my surprise, I read reviews here that mentioned almost the exact experience we had. So, this is not an isolated incident and Dive Bar has not taken our comments into consideration. Disclaimer: I did not have this experience, but it was very disheartening to see all the reviews, tik toks, reels, etc. I found after visiting Dive Bar in which women and men are claiming to have been roofied. This may or may not be true, but it can't be a coincidence this many people have had the same experience. There needs to be an investigation into this bar. I myself will be placing a call to the BBB and I hope that anyone who has had that experience feels empowered to speak to the authorities.

This bar is truly a definition of a dive bar-dark lighting inside, they tend to play throwback music 100% of the time which is awesome-the bartenders here are always super friendly and always seem young-not always the most experienced bartenders you will run into but they always do their job with lots of enthusiasm and friendly demeanors-I think that's important. The drinks themselves are pretty inexpensive per todays Sacramento downtown standards,I think my old fashioned ran for either $10 or $11 which is pretty good and they are always solid-they make very solid get the job done keep the vibe going level drinks and at that price-that's a winning combination. My favorite part of this bar though for me is easy-it's the outside back patio. It features a few long tables and it's mostly frequented by someone either looking to smoke a cigarette or vape,I personally will go back there and light up a cigar and just enjoy the craziness that occurs back there.By craziness I just mean a lot of people socializing-laughing telling stories and getting along,u literally can strike up conversations with people you never met before just based on the fact that you know anybody who finds themselves in the back outside patio at B-Side knows what's up-nobody lands there on accident-it's a super chill spot with a never ending cast of unknowns who might sit next to you and just be prepared as your probably going to have the most random conversation you have ever had in your life. B-Side isn't a fancy bar or a place to go before a nice dinner-this place isn't for everyone, especially at my age,but if u are ever lucky enough to walk thru those doors be prepared to be transported to a time when all you ever wanted was a place you could kick back-have a cheap drink, maybe enjoy a smoke and just chat with people who don't have their noses buried in their ohones-a true throwback.

The place is a lot cleaner and brighter than I remember, and there are way more beer selections now. I feel like in the old days there was basically one option. Also, no popcorn all over the floor like I remember from back then -- the whole place feels much more updated and polished now. They also do karaoke now, and apparently it's a pretty big deal. There seemed to be a lot of regulars who clearly have karaoke night circled on their calendars. I didn't sing, but my friend got up and did a Quiet Riot song... which felt appropriate considering we're all straight out of the '90s ourselves. There's also a lot more seating now -- tall tables and stools instead of the little round tables that looked left over from the 1970s. I don't know when I'll be back, but if another occasion comes up where old friends are getting together and this is the chosen spot, I'm definitely in.

We loved coming here and came here multiple times a week. Very rarely do I leave a bad review but…read moreI'm hoping someone will actually read this and take it seriously. From what I've seen, if you leave a bad review - you are banned from there! Reviews are meant to be helpful and changes should be made if it's about the same person. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for months. We would easily spend hundreds of dollars there. One night, where we had been drinking, it looks like he miss wrote his tip. The bartender, Marissa, asked me if her service was poor. He left $2 on a $100. Does he always leave 20%? Most of the time yes. But the bartender asked me if the tip was bad because of her service. First off, ask him and not me. That put me in an incredibly uncomfortable position. Feeling bad for the misunderstanding, I sent her a Venmo of $20. On top of the $6 I left her on my $20 tab. Easily over 20%, so it should have been all taken care of, right? Wrong. Boyfriend went in a few days later and all of a sudden she describes him (to his face) as "the guy who never tips." Let me remind everyone, he had been going there for a few years. Ma'am, you got your 20% tip. You should not be bringing this up again. Once my BF found out about the interaction her and I had had a few days earlier, he wrote a review. He tried to entera few days later and all of a sudden he was not allowed in the bar. Marissa also kindly sent me a Venmo of $40 saying she didn't need "mine or his money." We were not trying to create a false narrative as everything that happened was 100% true. As soon as you complain about your tip and I give you a 20% tip, that should be over and done with and not to be mentioned again. It was a mistake on his end unfortunately, but she was incredibly unprofessional in all aspects of this interaction. Our friend went a few weeks ago to Pine Cove, and when he said the amount he was charged was a lot more than he originally signed for, I asked who the bartender was and lo and behold, it was Marissa. He said his total was $26 and when the payment went through on his bank, he was charged $40! So now we are overwriting people's tips because you need to get money a different way. I understand you need tips to survive when you're in the service industry, but the way she makes it happen is incredibly unprofessional and fraudulent. Ownership. Take the reviews seriously. If you're constantly having poor reviews based on the same things, some aspects need to change. We loved going to Pine Cove but now we aren't allowed to come back. I would get if we were in a fight or throwing up at the bar, but he didn't tip well and he called her out on her unprofessional behavior. Not that I'm doing it, I won't be back either!
