I'll be back for sure! UPDATED - came again the following night because I had such a good experience the night before. Service was still extremely good. Thank you Zaria, and David (last night), you both were great! BUT, the food the 2nd night wasn't nearly as good. Chicken on my chicken sandwich was cold. Almost no fries came with it. Almost the opposite experience tonight vs last night as far as the food goes. But again, Zaria and David were great servers, not their fault. Food though - big difference from 1 night to the next.

Had to be about 50 people (maybe more!) all in their main room and bar area. Yet service never wavered. My smash burger came out within 10 minutes. Cooked ready to order this burger was amazing. Great sauce. The meat itself was really flavorful. My onion rings were crunchy and not greasy. Loved them. Alot of people around me went with the wings and those looked and smelled really good. Spirits were high as the #1 pick came in. Of course the Raiders chose Fernando Mendoza, our quarterback of the future! Lots of Raider fans in attendance made the place pop with excitement. Clubhouse 56 feels like a neighborhood sports bar for East Sac but they also welcome everyone. The bartender, Natasha, was super friendly and patient with everyone. Parking here wasn't easy but I was still able to find a spot on the street in the neighborhood. Good to know about this place as I'll be sure to drop in sometime in the near future for a game.

While a little pricey, likely because of the location, we had our own space and a great selection of foods. We love that they seem to understand that some of the most delicious British food consists of the foods from countries they colonized, so the menu incorporation of the Indian curries are much appreciated! There was quite the array of fried foods but all were very good and crispy. The salad was also decent. The interior is a bit far and moody, but I think that sets the vibe. The staff seem fine and are available if needed. Parking may be a little rough given the location, but it's a fun place to check out and have a nicer meal in Old Sac!

It's that mix of a lively sports bar with really good Italian food, all inside a historic space filled with sports memorabilia. Walking in feels like stepping back in time with all the vintage photos everywhere. Knowing Joe Marty, a former professional baseball player, originally opened his bar here back in 1938 and seeing how they've renovated it without losing that character makes it feel like a really special piece of the city. One of my favorite moments was when my husband ordered a Manhattan and the bartender came over and poured it tableside. It turned into this whole little production and the table next to us immediately ordered one too, which was kind of fun to watch. The food held up just as well. My teen had the spaghetti with marinara and meatballs on the side and finished the entire plate, which says everything. I told our waiter Sean to surprise me and he brought out the lobster ravioli and I was not mad about that at all. It was so good. My husband ordered the carbonara with shrimp and that was also a hit. The bread came out warm and fresh, but just a heads up the dipping sauce was pretty spicy. Our palates was definitely feeling it, so we ended up switching to balsamic and olive oil instead. Even the restrooms had things to look at, including old Land Park newspapers, which just adds to how much character this place has. Helpful tip: If you're not sure what to order, let your server guide you. Ours nailed it. I had actually been here years ago before the renovations, so coming back and seeing it now was really special. It still has that history, just updated in the best way.

The food was good and everyone enjoyed their meals, however we discovered we were overcharged because an entrée was added to our bill that we did not order. I live out of town, so going back in person is not an option. Hoping management sees this and reaches out to make it right. UPDATE: The manager reached out and resolved the issue regarding the overcharge. I really appreciate them taking the time to follow up and make things right. Thank you for the great customer service and attention to the matter. We enjoyed the food and look forward to visiting again in the future.

There aren't many bars around that combine drinks with classic arcade games, so it's refreshing to have a place where you can do both in one spot. They have a great variety of games to choose from--everything from classic fighting games and Pac-Man to Guitar Hero and pinball. I also really love the extras like the photo booth and air hockey, which add to the fun and make it easy to spend more time there with friends. It's strictly 21+ (not a bar and grill situation), which is honestly a plus--no kids running around. You do have to head down a set of stairs to get inside, so just be mindful if you're wearing heels. There's also a security check at the entrance where they verify IDs before letting you in. The place is almost always packed, especially on weekends. Because of that, I usually don't stay too long when it's crowded since it can start to feel a bit claustrophobic. Drinks are reasonably priced and taste fine--no real complaints there--but when it's busy, you definitely have to squeeze your way in to catch a bartender's attention. I've never had a bad experience here when going with friends, and it's generally a fun time in a group. That said, I'm not sure how enjoyable it would be if you were solo drinking, as the vibe really leans toward social, high-energy hangouts. Still, a fun spot with a cool concept that's worth checking out.

Everyone was super friendly and laid back. You can order at the tap or grab a seat and order via QR, which is awesome. Plenty of seating, spacious, good vibes, and they had Premier League on their massive TV. Beer was superb, kind of hard to review because I just love beer, man. We started with the shishito peppers, which were great and came with a really memorable miso aioli that was very addictive with a hint of lemon. We also got the "Fun Guy" pizza to share and made the mistake of removing the goat cheese, which I think hurt it. The crust was excellent and the toppings were fresh, but it felt like it was missing that salty, funky balance the goat cheese would've added. Still very good, but that one's on me. I'd definitely get it as intended next time. One of my favorite breweries, especially with so many having closed over the past few years. Cheers to them.
