Right as I walked in, I was greeted and given the history of the Chambers bay distilleries, what popular options they suggested etc. The menu is a good selection of light food and lots of beverages. I chose a cosmo and herbed almonds. Absolutely loved the cosmo and I'm a sucker for peeled almonds. I met the regulars and even recognized a staff member from a previous brewery I frequently visited. It didn't give the warming sensation that the Baco did- was more of a cooling sensation that surprised me. The Hazy Syrah gave me port vibes. Full and juicy flavor. I wish I took pics of my friends' cocktails because they looked so fun. You will just have to go in and see for yourself! The Gig Harbor location closes at the end of December ( of 2025). We were over in Gig Harbor this past weekend to see a friend and were actually surprised to to see this tasting room still open. We knew that Heritage has closed many tasting room locations already and just assumed that the Gig Harbor location closed some time ago. But nope, they are still around for a few more weeks. We got some spirits here. I got some miniature bottles of vodka and whiskey and Steve got a spirit that has an amazing Earl Grey flavor so we definitely had a nice purchasing "Hurrah" here before this location closes. Despite all tasting rooms closing Heritage Distilling will still exist as it is going to a production only operation.

We seated ourselves and each ordered a flight. I ordered the aquavit, their gin, their sweet pepper vodka and their bacon vodka. I was blown away by their aquavit-it was wonderful. While I did not pick up any on this specific visit, it is in the back of my mind a few days later. Their gin is nice and dry, and their sweet ghost pepper vodka was unusual but great. The sweet ghost pepper vodka would definitely give a new spin on a bloody mary! Their Bacon vodka was my favorite for the day, and I ended up buying a bottle. I love that this was a bacon-maple vodka, and it was well balanced and not too sweet. Their flights are absolutely worth it-the quality of their spirits is excellent, and it is a good way to get to know a distillery better. Before this visit, I had only had their Mango Vodka, which is what brought me to the distillery in the first place. Leaving Heritage, my new favorites are their Bacon Vodka, their Sweet Pepper Ghost Vodka, and their Aquavit. Shoutout to Carol! What a wonderful lady. She gave us excellent recommendations for our tasting and ideas to try at home with each spirit. We bought some extra mini bottles because of her recommendations, and we were able to try some spirits we either didn't think of, or Heritage's take on a type of spirit.
