Fun spot to visit when in town. Not a huge selection but small batch made is great! Owner is friendly and knows what he's talking about!

If you like whiskey this is a must go in the Hoodsport area. Chuck the distiller is amazing and friendly. We will be back to grab his aquavid and his coffee liquor. They sell half bottles (375ml) and full bottles (750ml), and good thing I grabbed the full 750ml bottle because the whiskey is so good that I would have already gone thru the half bottle .

Great new(ish) addition to good ol' Hoodsport! We took a little road trip one day and ended up here. If you catch them when they are open, they have a liquor tasting. Make sure you eat something before you come in, their stuff is potent! They've got a variety of liquors, mostly vodkas but also gin. It's a little strong for my taste, but definitely would make a great gift for the spirits lover in your life. And you're buying local! The interior is nice and the staff are very courteous. There are little knick-knack souvenir-type stuff you can buy (the little alcohol barrels! so cute!). There's also some random framed mounted pins, like the old button pins (see photos). Look out for the cool old holographic one - Kennedy, I think? Wacky. On the other side of the room, you can get a tour of the distillery stuff. We didn't stay for this, but maybe next time! This is definitely a place to stop in if you're in Hoodsport. Be sure and sign the guestbook. :)

A lovely new distillery run by Intelligent friendly folk who can teach you and peach-you with distillates (eg: kind of rare unique honey peach brandy they create called bees knees) - the government won't let them call the Brandy it's a distilled mead try that one on to give you a spirit lift! If you're in Hoodsport why wouldn't you stop in? They well deserve the five stars are getting here. What a great deal in their gold medal awarding aquavit.

The Gig Harbor location closes at the end of December ( of 2025). We were over in Gig Harbor this past weekend to see a friend and were actually surprised to to see this tasting room still open. We knew that Heritage has closed many tasting room locations already and just assumed that the Gig Harbor location closed some time ago. But nope, they are still around for a few more weeks. We got some spirits here. I got some miniature bottles of vodka and whiskey and Steve got a spirit that has an amazing Earl Grey flavor so we definitely had a nice purchasing "Hurrah" here before this location closes. Despite all tasting rooms closing Heritage Distilling will still exist as it is going to a production only operation.

Walking in we were greeted with friendliness and seated in an area that we liked. The hostess steered us to a talk that wasn't cold - since that was the one thing I mentioned. I hate being cold. :) I was lucky enough to order their cheeseburger from the happy hour menu. I think it is the same as the one on the regular menu. I had expected just a burger and was pleased to see it came with fries. Our server was prompt, helpful, and nice... the whole team was. The burger was a smash tyupe burger and I found the texture of the meat pleasing and tasty, just a bit of crust as some many people love on a smash burger. The condiments we fresh enough and had good flavor. When I say fresh enough I mean that the lettuce and onions didn't have a crunch to them, but they weren't mushy. Overall one of the better burgers so far. This venue would be good for anything from a family meal to some afterwork laughs or even a romantic dinner. The only reason it didn't get the fifth star is because of the condiments not being nice and crunchy. Solid place to eat and I would recommend.

We saw this place on yelp and thought it would be a great spot to find locally brewed spirits. When we entered we were greeted by Rob and Dylan. They were super friendly and Dylan did a great job at explaining the different spirits and what they have to offer. We decided to each do the 4 glass tasting for $15 and with 8 tastings total we got to taste most of what they had to offer. My boyfriend loved everything he tasted! I'm not really a big fan of darker liquors but I really loved the Harvest Gin and Eagle Harbor Brandy, I had to bring a bottle of each home to share. The service there was great because the individual behind the bar was very attentive, asked us questions about what we liked, and gave recommendations based on our answers. We stopped in for a visit and Paul took care of us, and I've got to say, he made the whole thing feel like we were getting a private tour from someone who lives and breathes the craft. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and answered every question we tossed his way without ever making it feel like a lecture. We ordered a couple of flights, and the best part was being able to mix and blend different whiskey styles ourselves. It wasn't just "sip and move on", we actually got to play with flavor, compare notes, and build our own combinations. That alone made the visit memorable, but the whiskey itself sealed the deal. Rich and full of character, every pour had something interesting to say. What we appreciated most was that we never felt rushed. We were given time to explore, talk through the flavors, enjoy the moment, and just be there. It's rare to find a place where the experience feels personal and unrushed, and Copperworks nailed it.
