Awesome distillery tucked away in Auburn! They've been on my radar for along time, but the holiday called and I knew what I really neded for my long weekend -- apple pie whiskey! Service was quick and friendly. From what I've heard you can get a little tour of the distilling area if you ask. Alas, I had things to do. The whiskey and the vodka I purchased were both spectacular! The whiskey especially was a crowd pleaser and people wanted to know where I got it! Went here on a weekday morning at like 9am. I don't know why I went so early, but the owner was very nice and let me taste a bunch of spirits for a work party I was throwing. Unfortunately, the work party got cancelled, but if I'm ever back in the area I will remember how kind he was and return to buy items. Give them a visit! read more

Just wrapped up my variety pack that I purchased from Blackfish when I visited here last year. When Steve and I went here we did do a tasting on some of their spirits and enjoyed everything we sampled pretty well! What was in my variety pack was some whiskey and bourbon along with a few other spirits. I really liked their Straight Bourbon and the very mild Sweet Tea. I had apple flavored and chocolate flavored spirits as well and those were good too. Glad to see a distillery in Auburn as it's kind of in-between Tacoma and Seattle and many people bypass that area to hit the two larger cities for their distillery and brewery wants and needs. read more

An ideal place to see how the bourbons, vodkas , etc are made. The owner (Mike) showed me the distillery and explained the entire process with so much patience. His wife was experimenting with some nee mixes and looked so meditated and deeply involved . The place has a great feel about it and the hosts seemed more interested in sharing their knowledge and passion than bothering you with their sales pitch. Very nice people and excellent bourbon. I ended up buying one and enjoyed it during last winter. read more

Want to taste some truly great quality craft spirits and see how they are made? This is the place. Gifford's Gin - gin for people who don't like gin! Well, the rest of us like it too, but this one is unique as it doesn't have a lot of the overwhelming juniper that most gin haters dislike. Instead you'll find subtle notes of unusual botanicals and a hint of cardamom and cumin. Really a great choice. Blackfish Vodka - a pure, smooth vodka that you can actually sip straight. None of that afterburner mouth feel here. Rye Whiskey - a great start to the whiskey production, barrel-aged, but not too sweet Cherry Brandy - made from local fruit you can actually taste the cherry rather than just getting a vague impression of it in the aftertaste. Great quality and aroma. Apple and Pear Brandy - not ready for production when we stopped in, but they had 8,000 gallons of cider from freshly pressed apples waiting to go into the still in the next few days with the pear coming in shortly after. Small, family run distillery where they are as excited to share the process and ingredients with you as they are to have you try the end result. They will take you in the back to the production floor and explain as much or as little as you like about what they do. They use locally sourced grain, fruit, and botanicals and always have a new experiment going in addition to their flagship products. Great place, great people, great spirits! read more

Small little distillery hidden away in north auburn. It down by emerald down off of 37th street. The whole sales room is probably 10x15, but you can see the distillery behind the sales room. The customer service here is outstanding. You are greeted as soon as you walk thru the door and they take the time to explain their product to you. The vodka here is pretty amazing. There is less of the burning after you drink it compare to most available vodka. read more

Fantastic little distillery! I was waiting for my windshield to be repaired at the Safelite next door and spotted this little gem open for whiskey tastings and tours of their distillery. Their bourbon is on point and the owners take pride in their craft. Can't wait for their rye whiskey to be done aging!!! read more

Although they are not doing tastings as of this moment due to COVID, the staff was super friendly and responsive. They had a nice selection of minis of liqueurs and favored vodka to sample at home. And the whiskey was amazingly good for being so young. read more

We just happened upon this place while checking out the Racetrack. Walked in, and the owner took us for a tour of their setup. After the tour, we spent close to an hour talking about distilling, alcohol, and whatnot, while tasting anything we wanted to. It's a small craft distillery, family run, and they concentrate on quality, not quantity. The people are great, friendly, and very open to questions. We walked away with a Vodka, Whiskey, and Blackberry liquor. Excellent place, can't wait to go back and chat again, and taste! Do yourself a favor and drop by, you won't be sorry! read more

Such a neat place! The owner is super informative and showed us around the distillery. We sampled about 6 different spirits and walked away with a chocolate one. All the spirits were so smooth! Definitely recommend this place if you're bumming around Auburn looking for something to do. read more

Gifford's gin id the best, beats Hendrick's in my opinion. Their bourbons are lretty decent also. The people there are friendly. They'll give you a tour and will learn something as well. Stop by & help the word get out on this Auburn gem! read more

Literally the best vodka I have ever had. I usually prefer potato vodkas but this vodka blows them all out of the water. Got to take a quick tour of the distillery as well and it is small but very well organized and clean. You can tell that the family takes their distilling very seriously. I look forward to trying everything that they have. read more

This place does it right! I learned so much about their process and they fielded all kinds of questions. We were there Drinking for the Cause. They let us sample everything they had and revisited some. But it is a distillery and in the end the product must shine (so to speak) and everything they tried there was outstanding. Not cheap, but worth it to me. My only gripe was with the gin; the young and barrel aged were both so aerobatic I couldn't chose. But I went with the young gin in the end. Second best was the rye; you could really smell the rye right from the get-go, so in the bag it goes. The vodka was was so smooth I couldn't pass that up either. Wife picked up peach brandy that I didn't try. Well done Blackfish! read more

Oh my. . . this hooch is over the top! My favorite teeters between the Vodka and the Gin. No maybe it is between the Apple Brandy, the Vodka and the Gin. But then, I have to include the rhubarb liquor. Visit the distillery. It, in itself, is a treat. You'll see the most beautiful copper stills, enjoy incredible aromas, and meet energetic and creative distillers. I'm hooked! read more
