Someone named Evie (sp?) was also there and I believe.. Seth? Who was off the clock but also brought amazing energy. Everyone was so genuinely nice and just honest and thoughtful about the wines and happy to share a bit about the vineyard's background and philosophy around generosity and hospitality which I also loved learning about. Also, a little -0.5 star because for some reasons, all our drinks have sediments/cork particles in our red wines (see picture). It's not in a particular red wine, but pretty much all glasses of red wine...... that kinda ruined the experience a little when the cork crumbles get in your mouth. The service is pretty great on this slow day since we were the only table here. They brought us water and refilled it for us timely as well without having us to flag them down for it. All in all, still was a pleasant experience with a little bummer with the cork crumbles in our wines.

Amazing wines, creative cocktails, solid snacks, great service and even games. You could wander in "for one flight" and somehow emerge six hours later wondering where the time went (in the best way.) On the wine side, they offer several thoughtfully curated flights, or you can build your own adventure. Which I highly recommend. The dessert wines alone are incredible, and the selection of aromatic whites is seriously impressive. No matter your palate, there's something here that will make you pause, sip again, and nod approvingly. And then there are the wine-based cocktails that deserve their own standing ovation. A wine tasting room doing cocktails this well is rare. We tried the Espresso Martini, the French 125, and the Lavender Lemon Martini, and every single one was better than I expected grape-based cocktails to be. Like, pleasantly shocked. Since the new manager, Anthony, took over, the entire atmosphere has shocked me. What was once inviting now is rigid, cold, and unwelcoming. The biggest issue, however, was the way I was treated. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, which was both surprising and disappointing given my long history with this place. Great establishments are built not just on food or ambiance, but on how people are treated--and that piece is clearly missing now. It's especially unfortunate because the rest of the team still shows glimpses of what this place used to be. Jordon, was genuinely kind and pleasant, but one positive interaction couldn't outweigh the manager's miserable attitude. It's hard to see a place that once felt so special lose its charm like this. I know the winemaker Paul is a great person - so it is hard to leave such a terrible review, but at the same time, if this was my place -- I would want to know what was happening behind the scenes at my establishment. I truly hope leadership reflects on how customer experience is being handled moving forward. Don't give money to places that have toxic attitudes and are joy crushers! Life is too short and far too precious! In the meantime, there are many nearby spots that consistently deliver both quality and incredible hospitality. We are gave each other the "what have we gotten ourselves into" look. We were greeted immediately upon entering and proceeded with a tasting. Tasting fee is waived with a bottle purchase. I tried the Mormor Riesling, VNA Viogner... and some reds to round out the tasting- Tried the Confluence Red Blend, Watershed Merlot, Cab Barrel Select and Syrah (shared some with the hubbie). The Riesling was my favorite of the whites and which we purchased some along with some dessert wine- LaRue since they don't have wine tastings or glasses of the dessert wine. My husband liked the Cab Barrel select so we also purchased that one. The prices for the bottles were reasonable especially considering it's a small winery and the costs sometimes get high for smaller inventory. The husband and wife were hospitable and we were welcome to sit outside by the roaring fire but chose to relax inside with our friends. A few extra spots inside to sit would be nice but it's a cozy small area. There is a public washroom inside. Overall it was a nice visit and we would return. We enjoyed the time with our friends.
