    Wine and chocolate pairing
    Alex G.

I got to try Bacovino for a chocolate and wine pairing for a Yelp event, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service was top notch. I cannot stress how friendly and attentive everyone was. They really engaged with everyone. It was clear that they were passionate about the business and wanted everyone to come away with some knowledge and great experience. The wine tasting and chocolate pairing was fun. The wines were great. I enjoyed the Viognier enough to take a bottle home with me. I highly recommend coming here for a fun and welcoming wine tasting experience!

We came here for a wine tasting Yelp Elite event and I loved how intimate the setting was. I don't particularly care for places that are overly crowded and noisyI loved how friendly and knowledgeable the winemaker was. I wasn't sure what to expect as I had never heard of pairing chocolate with wine so I was pleasantly surprised. Who knew that chocolate paired well with wine? They started us off with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc which was so good that we ended up buying a bottle. Then we got to try a bunch of red wines which we paired with delicious chocolates from Bon Chocolats. My favorite chocolate was the raspberry one and my favorite red wine was the Signature Sangiovese. They also have paint & sip, charcuterie and wine making events, so I can't wait to come back. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Found another gem in the hood! Located in Seatac area behind the truck warehouse area. Visited friday early afternoon and it wan't too busy! They are dog-friendly!! Very cute and clean tasting room. Service was phenomenal. Red wines were very good. I'm a viognier and red bold wine lover. Our favorites were Sangiovese and GSM. Plenty of parking! It gave me a woodinville warehouse vibe. It would be a perfect place to hold an event! (They do have live music thursdays. And wine and paint or wine making nights on occasion!)

What a great hidden wine bar. Because we came from over an hour away, it was a little challenging because we weren't familiar with the area. So watch the street signs and look for their light colored sandwich board. Great wine tasting options & by the glass pricing is very reasonable. There's something here for every pallet. The winemaker and staff take time to chat with everyone and are very helpful with suggestions. They don't let your glass sit empty & are on top of each pour. A new glass for each variety was an added bonus. They have live music alternating Wednesday/Thursday. When we were there, the room got pretty packed around 6.30pm and the regulars were a hoot to chat with. If I lived closer I'd be back soon. Since I fly often, I might be able to find an opportunity to pop in. Thank you all at Bacovino, we felt welcomed & enjoyed our visit.

We had a wonderful first time at Bacovino on a Sunday afternoon! First, the wines were great with a wide array of choices. Second, the staff and owner were phenomenal, we stayed much longer due to their friendliness and knowledge. Third, we loved that even though it was in a warehouse district the inside was tastefully elegant without a hint you were in a warehouse. This is a must comeback place, an easy after work meet up with friends and have a few glasses while you listen to live music kind of place. The owner is doing amazing things within a few years of opening offering live music, cheese making classes, painting classes and food trucks. I was quite impressed with his forward thinking!

I tried Bacovino on a Sunday afternoon with my wife and two small dogs. They are dog friendly and brought a water bowl out for them. The staff was very friendly and fast, and the owner was there to serve us wines and tell us about the business. At the same time we were there, there was a flower arrangement class going on that looked really fun. We did flights of their reds and a cheese plate, my favorite being the Vitners Sangiovese. Then we had a bottle and enjoyed the sun and chatting with the friendly staff. They also have a good wine club that we will probably join next year. 12 reds four times a year for $440 or less each shipment. For how good the reds were I think this would work well for us. Lastly, I like this place because it technically made me leave West Seattle but still felt close to home and had ample parking. Definitely a hidden gem we will come back to!

What a charming and nice little hidden spot south of downtown Seattle! I had no idea a place like this existed so close to home but was welcomed to a wine and chocolate event hosted by Randy. The samples may have been free but we walked out with 6 bottles of wine and a box of chocolates all to enjoy later. Randy is so knowledgeable about pairings and even gave additional insight as to which other bottles would go with which foods. Our favorite was the Sangiovese but every wine was great. The pairings with the homemade chocolate was wonderful and the two really did compliment one another with each taste. The service was amazing and we were told they host paint/sip nights, cheese and charcuterie making classes, live music nights, as well as conduct tours of their cellar room. I can't wait to be back!

Wine and Chocolate Pairing (with Bon Chocolates)

I came to Bacovino for a Yelp Event and had a great wine and chocolate pairing! The Rivalon wine was my favorite, I found it to be the most easy drinking since it was fruity but not too tart. The chocolates were from Bon chocolates and those were great too! I especially enjoyed the raspberry chocolate. The service was also great. Randy, the wine maker, as well as the other girl who was there were super friendly and knowledgeable. As for ambiance, it was very clean and modern in the tasting room. I enjoyed the little touches like the wine bottle wall and the cork wall for the bar.

Wow what a GREAT fine. Super friendly staff and amazing wine tasting. Randy the winemaker gave us a barrel tasting upon request and educated us on winemaking. Please support this wine label.

We've been wanting to check this place out for months. Finally stopped in, on a Saturday. We sat at the counter. There were 3 of us, we each did a tasting. The pours were very generous and Randy was very knowledgeable and a such pleasure to talk to. We really enjoyed the Cellars flight, all 4 pours were delicious, so hard to pick our favorite. We ended up purchasing a bottle of the Barbera, to enjoy with a nice steak. The environment was beautiful and inviting. Randy informed us that they plan on having live music during week days in the next month or so. This is a great addition to the neighborhood and we can't wait to go back.

A great place to hang out with friends and meet new ones! Wonderful wine, great service and a fun atmosphere.

The wine was decent but the host was lacking in personality. Not a very warm atmosphere.

When you arrive, you will see a sign directing you to the rear of the building. There is plenty of parking. The meadery is well decorated and welcoming. They have large tables and small ones and a more cozy couch type seating area with a fireplace. They had lots of table games on offer and signs for D&D (another thing I know nothing about but my son loves). I really enjoyed the music they were playing and the ambiance was lovely. The flight is $12 before tip end you get six different needs to taste. Currently they are: Traditional, Cherry, Blackberry, Blueberry, Bearskal and Dragon's Blood. I enjoyed the traditional mead but it was much less sweet than any I had tried before, which makes sense as it was listed at a sweetness of 3 out of 10. The other samples were earthy and tart and tasted like fruit wines I have tried but again much less sweet. The highest sweetness on the flight was 6/10 but that seemed high to me based on what I experienced. I actually found the 3/10 original to be sweeter than any of the others. I am sure, especially based on the reviews here, that to alcohol connoisseurs they are delicious, but as I said, I have a novice palate and they were just not for me. When I returned the flight and went to pay, the young lady working asked me if I liked them and I answered honestly. She explained to me based on what I was saying that I would enjoy much sweeter, more honey based meads and gave me a taste of a peach mead they were almost out of. I quite liked it. She also said it sounded like I would prefer meads on tap as opposed to bottled and now I have a much better idea of what to look for in the future. I had a nice time here and appreciate the opportunity to experience the different meads and learn in a friendly environment. I would gladly come back again, especially when they have some sweeter meads on tap :)

He suggested one or two of the meads that we would like and got a couple of glasses to drink while chatting. The place is so spacious but a little on the cold side. They have games you can play with your group and since they do not really sell food besides a few bags of chips you can bring your own food to eat as long as you clean up after yourselves. Who knew people were producing wine in South Park, I didn't until a few months ago. This past Saturday being the second Saturday of the month I decided to grab a friend and head down to South Park to taste their wines. It's in an industrial warehouse so don't expect a cute cozy tasting room but expect to taste next to the equipment and barrels which is always cool. For my $5.00 this past Saturday I was able to taste eight of their wines. I enjoyed three of them the other five were just OK but none made me go OMG this is good. The '05 Syrah, '04 Kestrel and '05 Conner Lee were my favorites that day, each of them different but with a big berry taste, I must have been in the mood for berries Saturday. As we all know everyone's palette is different so you may go and enjoy all eight. Tim the winemaker and Carol his wife were on site to answer any questions you had about their wines, Washington vineyards, or other wineries in the area. They've been making wine for distribution since 2001, prior to that they were what one would consider to be home wine makers. If it's a second Saturday and you're down in South Park check out Nota Bene cellars you might learn something new about wine. The one odd thing to me was before you could taste you had to fork over your $5.00, I know I have to pay but it was a little cold to be forced to pay before having a chance to pretty much look at the wines. One of the things that really makes Wolfpack special is the hospitality. One of the owners, James, is always there and always incredibly welcoming and friendly. You can tell how much care goes into the place and it creates such a warm, neighborhood feel. The wine is fantastic across the board. The sparkling rosé is a must-order, it's seriously amazing. We also love their whites and the Syrahs, but honestly you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They also have great non-alcoholic options and frosé, which makes it easy for everyone to enjoy. Another thing I love is how connected they are to the community. You can join the Wolfpack Wine Club for exclusive events, but they also host tons of fun events open to the neighborhood, things like puppy socials, Feather & Pages nights, wine & ice events, and more. It always feels lively without being crowded. It's also dog-friendly and kid-friendly, which is rare for a wine spot and makes it feel like a true community gathering place.
