I've been a regular at All Things Wine for a number of years. Wayne is extremely knowledgeable and has learned my palette so well that he has never steered me wrong on a wine recommendation. ATW is super family friendly. My wife and I often bring our two young kids in on a Friday evening to enjoy food, drinks, and to chat with Wayne and chef Eric. Both of my kids have grown up coming to the shop. Wayne and Leesa treat my family like their own. Looking forward to the anniversary party and the expanded kitchen and food offerings this summer! Tonight, I visited this shop for my usual gift buying. I usually get greeted by this really nice man who helps me select a wine for any occasion, but tonight a lady (about 55 years old?) was working and she was UNFRIENDLY! She didn't greet us as we entered, and never left the counter to acknowledge us and ask if we needed help. My friend said I should ask her for recommendations, but she gave off a cold vibe. And apparently, her young daughter was there to hangout at the register? In any case, I bought some wine and when that older lady rang it up, there was NO friendly chit chat at all. When she handed me my purchase, I thanked her and know what she said? "Uh huh". Wow. Bad business sense! Will I return? Sure. But if she's working, I will just leave and go elsewhere. All Things Wine might be the only reason I would ever consider living in Renton. It's the wine shop of yesteryear that brings the homey feeling of your friendly and knowledgeable shop keeper with a flight of tasty imbibements (new word?). Like most things in Renton, it's in a weird strip mall with terrible parking and close proximity to a fast food drive thru. But don't let that deter you...this place is fabulous! read more

We have been going to this wine shop for a few years now and I must say it is my favorite neighborhood wine shop. Wayne does an excellent job bringing in great wines and for you beer lovers he has a wonderful selection of beers-many that are harder to fine. They offer both wine and beer tastings on the weekends and sometimes during the week. Although I love my wine, I also love beer and Wayne has beer on tap, as well a great selection of bottles to bring home. Growlers are available for those that would like to bring some great beer home or sit in the shop and have a pint of beer or a glass of wine along with some food bites. Waynes offers both a wine and beer club which offers a great selection of both. This shop is top notch, great wines, great beer, great people. Awesome little wine shop! I decided to go here based upon some suggestions via Yelp Talk. Thanks Seattle peeps! Since I travel around quite a bit, I always try to bring back a bottle or 2 of local vino. It makes for an interesting story when you are pouring it for friends back home. Anyhow, I came here on Wednesday and they were having a free tasting of wines by Kyra. Obviously in store wine tastings are a great way to get people into the store but what makes this even more special was Kyra was there talking about and pouring her wines Naturally I bought 2 bottles from her and she was even nice enough to sign one of them for me. The store owner was very knowledgeable about the local wine makers and their products. They also had a large section of Cali and international wines too. Another impressive section in the store was the beer selection. Wow! Probably the most eclectic beer selection I've seen in Seattle. If you want local wines, go here!!! read more

This lovely shop is a 5 minute walk from my place and I couldnt be happier! The owners are so friendly and helpful. When I went in looking for a specific wine (Bear Flag) that I had found/enjoyed at the bite of Seattle, they did not have it but they took my information and ordered several bottles for me for no extra cost! The wine selections are great, and weekly they have free wine (and fridays even beer!) tasting. The beer selection is top notch. Im very much a beer snob and he has a great selection of brews to choose from. I was told he had tasted and picked every single one he had there, and im happy to say I have not been disappointed with anything i've grabbed there yet. Also of note, any combo of wine or beer--if you buy 6 bottles you get a 10% discount. Which honestly is really easy to do at this place. Will be returning many times in the future. read more

I stopped by here after eating dinner at Sushi Cafe and was really blown away by the selection of wines. The place isn't all that big, but they have the stock of a big store! Oh my gosh! The cutest little local shop. The owner is great and keeps notes of what you buy so he can offer recommendations. It was suggested by the store that I try Razz-ma-tazz when I talked about what I liked and it couldn't be a better choice for me! (Don't buy if you love a super classy wine, as it's a syrup-y dessert wine for someone with a sweet tooth like me!) They know their stuff, they're friendly, and the shop is locally owned. I am never happier than I am on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at All Things Wine! The shop hosts free wine tastings on the aforementioned days, sometimes inviting the winemakers themselves to present their wares. These guys know what they're talking about, and Wayne's enthusiasm for beer is infectious! I love that they try so hard to know everyone's names and tastes. They've got all sorts of funky wine-themed knicknacks, a limited assortment of cheeses, some really fun stuffed olives, smoked salmon and other goodies. Their beer selection (albeit good) is somewhat limited, as they don't have a ton of space, but we're told to look forward to it doubling in size soon! They recently hosted a Valentine's Day wine and chocolate party, which was awesome! They're always coming up with fun themes and events to liven up the night! I really admire this couple for their dedication to All Things Wine! Stop by on a Friday night (3 wines and 2 beers to taste!) and I'm sure I'll be there! My family and I eat at the surrounding restaurants weekly. We went to grab sushi on a Wednesday night and we ended up having a 15 minute wait on a table. Admittedly I was a little nervous to go inside while we waited for our table considering the intimate setting of the store and the fact that we weren't necessarily looking to spend money on beer or wine. However we were met with a friendly welcoming and some live music! The owners invited us to sit down and taste test some of their wine. I'm not a huge wine enthusiasts but I enjoyed the knowledge and the friendly company of this family owned business. Long story short, we ended up purchasing a full glass of wine afterwards and by the time we walked back to get sushi there were plenty of tables :) I will definitely be back! read more

This is a very well layed out establishment with a nice atmosphere and I was greeted once I entered the store. That being said my 1 star is not for the space but for the responses I received when I asked for a particular wine. The wine I asked for was one they did not carry. Then about 4 times after that I was assured that the wine they showed me had the same price range and then it was compared to a wine that was sold in grocery stores (emphasizing a low budget). The phrases " the good news is its the same price", and THE WAY I was told that they carry real wine from Italy and not stores offended me. I didn't enter the store for a list of "fake" or low budget wines they assumed I could only afford to pay for. A response to some one who came into your store to spend money would have been them informing me they do not carry it and then proceed to show me what you do carry. That's it. There was no need to continuously remind me of price you thought I wanted to pay or talk down on something I specifically asked for. If you wanted to kick up the customer service skills a notch i could have informed you of the reason I was looking for that wine and actually go ahead and put in an order of some that I wanted for a function rather than there being am assumption of that's all I could afford. Of course ask your customers what they are comfortable spending if it seems to be a concern. But do not assume and speak down on a persons request. You have no idea why that wine was asked for. read more

Picking up food in the plaza, we noticed All Things Wine. We were pretty excited to check it out and it was wonderful. The owner was great and very helpful. He helped us pick out wines for our Thanksgiving dinner and made suggestions on where to buy the best pates in town. He invited us to their free wine tasting (I forget which days, Thursday & Friday?). We had a chance to go and it was excellent. There were several locals wine tasting and we were able to learn about the various wines being served. It's like having a winery down the street! read more

They had one of the wines I was looking for at a very good price. They were doing a tasting but I just didn't have the time to partake in it. I met Wayne + Leesa, the owners, when I photographed the store's grande opening 5 years ago. Fortunately for me, they are 2 doors down from my favorite sushi spot.
