I've had nothing short of an awesome experience with this company. The scheduler on the phone is super polite and helpful. Dave, who showed up to repair our non-functional irrigation system was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with solution options, and on-time. Today, we had a broken pipe emergency that caused us to have to switch off the water at the meter, and they got a couple of guys out here within the hour. They worked in the pouring rain to get it fixed so we could turn the water on again. I'm hopeful that we won't need repairs again any time soon, but if we do, we'll be calling Challenger. read more

I was busy moving in and with other repair and agreed to a stupid price to fix my large irrigation system. $8000.00 When they were done I noticed a lot of sprinklers were not working. I repaired 12 sprinkler heads myself. Some still are not working. I was stupid to hire them even though they had a sticker on the box saying they installed the system . DON'T DO IT. Company does not do thorough quality work and everyone you talk to sounds bored. Tech came out replaced 2 3inch connectors. For time and effort plus parts $80.00. Did not notice sprinkler head were damaged and leaking. Called the company next day. Too booked up, be a week out. I just sodded the yard. It needs to be watered. Sorry was the reply. I even told them I would be calling another company to fix their screw up. The reply, OK. I will also be calling the builders who used them initially. read more

This is the worst company of any kind I have ever dealt with!! I had 1 bad valve, that zone wouldn't turn off. The tech dug up 2 wrong valves, cut the master line from the well to the sprinklers, then tried to hide it from me. Told me he didn't know what was wrong and had another appointment and left. Left 2 holes with valves exposed in my yard and no zones able to run! I called the company 3 times. The lady on the phone told me she would tell him I had an emergency. This happened on May 23rd. today is June 1. Never heard from them!! I did call another company and got my system working at much expense due to the damage Challenger did. Do not do any Bussiness with unreliable company! I Made an appointment with them, they never showed up and had no courtesy to call to say they can't come in. And when I called them, the customer service "Angela" was just clueless even from beginning that I was talking to her, and then another customer service rep called me " Margaret" and she had no solutions for me, she was very rude on the phone. And she said sorry we just couldn't make it yesterday, and next appointment we can give you will be a week from now. So in the meanwhile not only their technician didn't do a good job from beginning to fix everything, but now I had to deal with waiting time. we live in Brooksville and recently had some water pump problems. The lady we talked to was so nice and they even came after hours at no extra charge. our technicians name was BRENDEN. The estimate he gave us was what we paid. No jacked up price. Brenden was very knowledgeable and explained exactly what he did and showed us the parts that were bad that he replaced. He was very courteous and answered our questions and made sure we understood exactly what he did. Challenger also does irrigation. We won't call anyone else for any water problems. Thank you Brenden. He was attentive to our requests and completed the jobs in a timely manner and without any complications. Dave is very friendly and good at his work. Had them come out and give us an estimate on extending our irrigation to the back yard. Chose them because they were the company that installed the irrigation when the house was built. We have always had an issue with one zone, as the sprinkler heads would not fully extend. When the guy came out to do the estimate for extending the system, I mentioned the problem....his response "whoever did your install put too many heads on the zone"....I told him his company had done the install. His recommendation was to have two new zones put in, so that a few of the heads from zone one could be moved to another zone. The quote I received was higher that we expected, but we decided to go ahead with them. We scheduled a day to have the work done and I moved my schedule around to accommodate it. The morning of the scheduled install date, I called them @ 8:45am (I was told they would arrive around 8 am) and was told they were going to have to move us to the next day and they weren't sure if it would be morning or afternoon. Ummmm.....No apology for not letting us know. We will not be using this company. Reliability is a BIG issue with us. read more

We got an estimate for a irrigation system to be installed. The estimate was a great price. The day of the installation, they didn't show, no phone call either. I called to ask if they were going to show up and the operator told me we were on the schedule and she wasn't sure what happened. She said she was sorry and rescheduled for the next day. I was not happy as we cut our vacation short to be back in time for this service. I asked for the manager to call me . I received no phone call. The next day, they were a no show again. When we called we got the same story. We were on the schedule for the day and they weren't sure what happened. The manager never called us again . Third time , they were a no show again . When I called I told them to cancel the service . Very unprofessional and I would never recommend this company. DO NOT USE THEM read more

Never showed up!!! No phone call 2 days in a row!!! Don't use this unprofessional company!!!

I called several companies over the last two weeks and only Challenger answered the phone with a person and was able to schedule a time to come. They came today right on time which was the start of a two hour window. My technician was very friendly and understood the system I had very well. He did the work efficiently and took special care to minimize disturbance to the grass. Before he left he adjusted the sprinkler heads to the proper position and got one head working which I didn't know was plugged by sand. I'm very, very happy with them. read more

Do not recommended this company!!! Scheduling a technician to come out to fix one sprinkler head was a mess. Angela was very rude, not helpful and had a very "not my problem attitude". We waited all day Thursday and no one showed then was told someone will come Friday and no one showed finally Saturday morning the technician came and was great! No complaint with the technician very professional and fixed the sprinkler quickly. Overall do not use this company as they will drag you through the mud to get an appointment. read more

I was given their name for sprinkler repair. They were extremely rude on the phone. Even worse when they came to my house to look at my sprinkler system. I had to point out the problem, he was in such a hurry to leave. He wanted to adjust the zones and run. The problem was a proven line I had to point out. Then more bad attitude. I would give them a worse rating if it was available. They basically took my money and ran. Two months later we finally figured out they didn't repair anything and probably didn't even show up. They were not apologetic in the least. When we finally got them to show up they missed two more appointment promises and were 2 hours later than promised when they did get here. read more

Terrible experience. When They replaced a check valve the plumbing leaked. After multiple phone calls and missed appointments they returned to tell me it's not leaking. And that there should some leaking with the temperature change (huh?). There was nothing more they could do. Call anyone else for sprinkler work. read more

This local business is AWEFUL. Customer service do us not exist. They give you a time frame when the tech will arrive and claim they will call first . That is if they actually show up at all. No are VERY consistent with no calls no shows. My grass has died Waiting for them to show up.I had an appointment on a Monday, .....finally after repeated no shows they claim they will show on Saturday.
