I've been with this finance company for about two years now and my customer representative is Oscar. He is always polite and courteous. I've never had an issue with him and he always gets the answers I'm looking for. Horrible company to deal with. If you are 1 day late they call and threaten to repossess your car. Funny thing is they don't send out statements. Please avoid this company at all cost. If your loan gets sold to them trade the car in or sell it...I can't wait to be done with them read more

This place is a joke! I am stuck with 2 more years of paying on a lemon. I can't even start to begin the bull they have pulled on me as well as how immature and pathetic their office staff is! When they had called me to "buy out my loan" and needed more information I TOLD the rep to SHRED my information that I did not WISH to go with this company! The REP was such a rude woman. I have had it with these scum bags!!!! read more

I would like to start off saying that I normally do not write any reviews. But I have to give a shout out to Fred at Challenge financial services for he is one of the most amazing friendly helpful Manager's. If I ever needed a car loan I would definitely give him a call. Thank you for all your help and always being so kind Fred! read more

There is only one reason I am giving Challenge Financial 5 stars today: Yesenia Ramirez. I have been with Challenge for a while now and have dealt with other unpleasant representatives. Customer Service here is terribly. People are rude and seem to hate their jobs.. except with Yesenia. She was so nice and helpful. I am finally done paying off my car and needed help with my car's title which was lost. She answered all the questions I had and didn't make me feel like I was wasting her time. I don't know if Challenge is doing recent training or something, but this girl made my day! Now, if only management would step up their game and realize they need to focus on customer service, there could be more like Yesenia and less of these bad reviews. read more

I have mixed feelings about Challenge Financial. There have definitely been instances when I have dealt with extremely rude customer service reps from their office (I've already complained to BBB about this), but mostly the people I have dealt with have been really helpful. It is true that they contact you if you are just one day late on your payment. But, in my experience, If you call them ahead of time and let them know you're going to be late, they will happily notate it and then send you a reminder text the day before your expected payment. Some people may see this as annoying, I see it as helpful. The other thing that sucks is that my ex co-signed for my car loan, and in an effort to get him off of the loan after a year of on time payments, I asked if they could help me. They stated that the only way to get him off the loan would be to refinance and unfortunately, they do not offer refinancing. That, and their extremely high APR's suck....But that is what happens when you have crappy credit. Would I go with a different loan company if I could? Probably....But the fact is that I can't, and I've seen worse behavior from other companies. read more

Only get a 1 cuz 0 is not an option, greedy, greedy, greedy, don't be late 1 day, or else they are coming for you, harassing at work, references, and taking you to court for the balance even if they get the car back and sale it, garnished my wages after all that. Run now if you have a chance, don't let me forget to tell you my account got sent to them for making all my payments on time. F challenge and all their terrorist ass employees. read more

Ive had my loan going on four years now and i've payed on time for the most part , but now and the when i'm going Through a rough patch I call my guy Javier P. and he always helps me out. i appreciate there understanding , yes the APR is high but thats what you deal with when your credit is subpar , but again i appreciate the help i get from Javier when i need it, thank you. read more

The past couple of days i have been working with Jacqueline De La Rosa and i have WITHOUT A DOUBT have had the BEST customer service imaginable!!! She has gone above and beyond to make sure myself as an account holder was taken care of. Her care and respect for my individual need was mind blowing considering you dont find that much anywhere anymore. I belive she commits herself to what she does and would want to personally THANK her for her help and professional service. KEEP IT UP CHALLENGE FINANCIAL!!!!! read more

Avoid them 100%, they are horrible customer service, specially grace at they will not work with you. Right a way they threaten you with repo!!! I will not remove it!!! I have a loan with your company!!! Mr CEO read more

My only complaint would be the high interest rate but when entering a sketchy car dealer that was jumping at the opportunity to sell a car to 18 year old with no credit what do you expect. I have paid them late several times and I have yet to receive any type of harassment. They even granted me a deferment when I was having car problems. Sure their staff doesn't sound 100% professional but I have yet to be displeased by their service, it been 2 years. read more

I'm only giving one star because I can't give 0. I have had some awesome people when making payments or asking questions but today I had one extremely rude person when trying to defer my monthly payment. The person said I was lying and not being truthful when I was just because I didn't have the estimate of repair needed in hand to fax to them. My car needs a ton of work done to it and I don't appreciate being called a liar by a loan company. They also said they would email me a form to fill out I got the confirmation of payment from the deferment but never the other email. I'm just really confused and upset with the customer service I received. read more

This company is horrible, they treat customers with NO respect and they are completely RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL!!! They call and harass you if your 1-2 days late, then they blow you up with text messages! Did they forget there is a 10 DAY grace period! AVOID THIS PLACE!!! read more

I wanted to share that I have had a good experience with this finance company. The person that is over my account Mr.Ted Estrada has great customer service skills. Alex was very rude and disrespectful threatened me in many ways . He acted like he was very untouchable (jfk was president and still got touched) On the other hand Griselda was awesome. She was a big help . The company needs to re train half of their staff . When I couldn't get in contact with Griselda it seemed I always would get the short end of the stick and end up taking to rude workers . 95 percent of their staff is unprofessional and ghetto . I come up out Los Angeles so I know someone ghetto when I hear it in their voice . Please send me my pink slip it still states you guys name is on my Lien and my car has been paid off for a while now .i was going to wait til I got it to post about this company but they move very slow . I PAID MY MONEY I WANT MY PINK SLIP. I DONT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY PERIOD POINT BLANK!!!!!!! And the only reason why your getting 3 stars is because of Griselda.. Maybe you guys should give her employee of the month or a raise and or promotion. Sincerely , I WANT MY DAMN PINK SLIP CHALLENGE!!!!!! read more

Do not give your money to these people. If you are in a situation where you have no other choice i HIGHLY recommend that you re-finance as soon as possible. These people are complete idiots and they will talk down to you at every chance. They are aggressively rude and feel that you need them more than they need you. It doesn't matter if you are paying late or on time they will still be rude!!! They couldn't give 2 craps about serving you the customer. AVOID THIS RACKET IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION!!! read more

this is the worse business i have ever dealt with in my life. rude customer service , they dont work with you i have never dealt with a finance company so ridiculously sickening. for example my car jote is due on the first of the month. theres no grace period, if your payment isnt in .you will have one of those border people call u. threatening to have repo folks to come get. i told them ive never heard of such nonsense. very rude .daniel, valerie, that bitch that calls herself the supervisor ms aurora. i cant wait for payment to be over 3 left. thank god. i would never make this mistake again . and i will let everyone know do not i repeat. do not do business with challenge financial rip off. cant wait to go to bbb. read more

If I could give this company a 0 I would, serious! They are totally unprofessional and rude as hell ! Oh and not to mention, their interest rate is outrageous ! I called yesterday to speak with my account manager Jose and I asked him a question and he couldn't do shit for me! HIS answer to my question was "I don't know" while having a side conversation with someone in the background while I'm on the phone! I then hung up and called back requesting to speak with a Supervisor (Sylvia) I believe her name was. Of course when being transferred I got a voice mail. I left a voice mail and have yet to receive a call. On hold with the BBB now ! This company need to be shut down! read more

Just Spoke to these people trying to get a payoff amount on my ex-husbands car.. I have had nothing to do with my ex for over a year since ending an extremely abusive marriage. We bought the car together and I was a co-signer. When I got someone on the line she was EXTREMLY rude and just tried getting my address and place of employment rather than giving me the payoff amount so I can GET THEM PAID. I was not aware that the car had already been repossessed. The lady on the phone had a MAJOR attitude with me and then would simple not give me the info I was asking for. I asked to speak to a manager and she ignored me and said "Jessica we don't need the attitude" I asked her name... and she said continued to repeat my name... I hung up on her, Called back, and got a different man who downright was rude and treated me as if I were a low life loser that owes him money. After him laughing at my explanation of the situation and no understanding or caring at all, I finally was given my payoff amount. and hung up. Very bad business practice here. read more

Challenge Financial is a rip-off and has very poor customer service. I've called 5 times in 2 months reaching out to them about not being able to pay my account online they have hung up on me 3 times one of which was in the beginning and all I did was ask the young lady for their name so I know whom I'm speaking with cause they just answer "how can I help you?". I've looked this company up and they have had the same reports for a decade! Like seriously? This is just poor customer service! Challenge Financial doesn't even listen when I call. Just today I called trying to get access to my account online cause it's an option on their website. They said I needed to make my payment over the phone only after I told them that's what they told me last time and I was told I will be able to make my future payments online they told me well you can set up automatic payments. I don't want to setup automatical payments I want to be able to make my payments online and as often as I like cause I make double payments each month or I have up until now. I don't trust this company to pay through the 711 like they allow since the online aspect just tells me my account or social is wrong. It's been a horrible experience and I would return my vehicle if I didn't need one so I wouldn't have to go through this company. The worst part is they charge you to make payments. Twice I've had to pay a $9 charge on top of my car payment because they had to take my payment over the phone, no consideration to the fact I could pay less (still have to pay them to take my payment online) if I had the option to pay online. They are clueless and I'm very fed up with them. This is just a crap finance company that makes me advise to EVERYONE that NO ONE should be going through them. If anyone wants to reach me about this that would be great. My number is 661-486-9804 I've already requested to speak to a manager and they said someone will call me on Monday. When Monday comes if I'm going to make 1 more call before reporting them to the BBB. read more

If you're happy to receive financing on your used auto purchase, that happiness may soon to anguish if it's revealed that Challenge Financial Services is your lender. This company is without a doubt the worst of any subprime lender. Let's face it, if you're picked up by this company you're obviously credit challenged and desperately in need of a vehicle. High interest rates that's your fault and your gonna pay out the nose, my concern is the unprofessional staff that work there. Obviously must be a employee turn key operation. The most unprofessional in knowledgeable you will encounter. Worst customer service ever, aside from a particular cell phone carrier. If you're ever accepted by this company, I suggest work on your credit and refinance with a positive rated reputable company. read more

I am giving Challenge Financial San Diego branch 4 stars. Mostly to Bryan my favorite representative, he is always so nice. Never rude. I can honestly say I'm pretty content with the customer service at this place, I was close to giving up my car due to financial struggles but Fred was able to work things out for me so I won't loose my vehicle. He did what he could to help me without me even asking for it, I was ready to give up entirely until he mentioned how easy the other options were. I know Jenny, Fred and the 3 young ladies at the front who take payments are very respectful and professional. I have only had one very bad experience with a female employee but I don't recall her name, this was before I started working with Fred. But luckily he said he would take care of the issue. I was going through a frustrated and stressful time and that women got on a power trip and start being sarcastic and disrespectful but like I said I went on to talk to Fred instead. Besides her nobody has been rude they've actually been helpful extremely helpful. read more

They have the worst customer service representatives ever. Very rude and threatening. Called to make the 10 day extension and ended up getting a call from the person whose in charge of my account saying I need to make it before and when I started to question why he hangs up on me. Just registered challengefinancialsucks.com. See.. I am a systems administrator and a SEO specialist. I purchased a car from a local dealer, challenge took over my loan, cool but this is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. Never had one late payment, ever, period. My car was not taken back or anything like that. This is just a warning that this company will attempt to take as much money as they can from you even if you pay ontime. I will have the site live soon to detail the complete lack professional business conduct you would expect to see in a company that is dealing with loans . I would stay away from this company at all costs. Refuse to sign anything they send you and contact your attorney general and MVD to file complaints. I will spend every day optimizing each and every search engine result to have my site in the top 3 links. I refuse to allow a company to charge me to pay a bill. 10$ a month to make a payment.. This company is beyond ridiculous, I've been paying my payments (excluding 2 payment deferments, mind you, it's a sin to ask for that) since 2012, and have never had a late payment. I do the best not to deal with them directly so I keep to the pay near me option. I've called twice within a 3 month period trying to find out the amount of payments remaining, and for some reason NO ONE can give me the exact ammt. Only the balance!? Try and get a supervisor on the phone in the main office, and got tossed around like a hot patato from phone to phone, with each person having a worse attitude than the last. Last female I spoke with has the nerve to ask why am I even calling their office, and not the one in northern California, when I tried to explain she just put the phone on hold and redirected me to the original rep that couldn't help from jump. It's crazy, they call and email you the day of due (which is fine, I work retail/collections) but will literally threaten to have your car repo'd if it isn't made day of but have a 10 day grace period. But if you ask of any info, you're last priority. Go figure, right? I've been in retail for the last 10 years, and deal with customers that have troubled credit just like challenge financial. And one thing I've learned is, to be humble to people of all walks of life, and those customers with bad/troubled credit are the ones that ensure their checks show up on time monthly. Sure wish they'd have that respect towards the customers like that. After reading all the reviews, clearly I'm not the only one thinking the same....I chose to keep names left out, so you the potential customers can form your own opinions. Can't wait to be done with this company. read more

Hello my name is Christian I've been dealing with this finance company for about a little over 6 months .. everything was good until they change my representative I really love speaking to Leticia gonzales she always get the job done with no issues and no problems since they change me with this one representative name Ricardo I don't really feel comfortable speaking to him but besides all that everything is good... Thank you leticia for being a helpful person read more

Definitely one of the most rudest and pushiest group of representatives I've ever dealt with. The information one person gives you is never the same as the information from another. I had an incident where I made a payment a few days before my payment was due. A few days after my payment due date i get a phone call saying the payment was not received. I to forward the payment confirmation text to the company and once I did the representative that had been blowing up my phone stated that it took 10-14 days for a payment to go through so they hadn't received it yet. Fine whatever that issues was resolved, however the next time i made my payment I was once again called because I was "late" on a payment. And once again was spammed with phone calls from the delightful people at challenge and was surprised when another representative yelled at me that the payments only take one day to go through and that I was late on my payment. So once AGAIN I had to forward my payment confirmation text. No apology was received just a lot of "um" and stuttering from incompetent people who obviously have had no customer training what so ever. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This place takes advantage of people. They do not report to any credit bureaus, doesn't matter if you pay on time or late. I would beware of them. Horrible horrible horrible. read more

Challenge Financial has the worst customer service i have ever experinced. The Financial Manager has no manners, someone needs to sit her down and teach her how to treat customers. If i didnt have to work with them i wouldn't. I was disrespected and talked to like i was a child. Then when I made the next payment with a regular check they hassled me about it because of the returned check. And also charged me a late fee because of the returned check.
