Love mango drinks. This place had a great mango slushie and the addition of grapefruit was good. Not too sweet and was thick and tasted like ripe, fresh mango. Service was quick even though we went right before closing. They also have small desserts like black sesame porridge. The interior is pretty small but they have a couple tables if you want to sit. There's also a cute Photo Booth with lots of outfits to dress up with.

We ordered: Mango Cucumber Lemon Tea Signature Fruit Combo Green Tea Mango Pomelo Avocado Mango Smoothie Black Sesame w Peanuts Chali Lemon Milk Pudding All of the drinks were quite refreshing and not terribly sweet or artificial. I really liked the combination of mango, cucumber, and lemon. Fruit Combo is loaded with ripe, fresh fruit. I'd also recommend Mango Pomelo. However, as refreshing as the drinks are, we couldn't taste the tea in either tea drinks. I still want to come back to try the milk tea and other drinks. Skip the dessert foods. No issues with service. There's a few tables inside.

This is the new boba/beverage spot inside 88 Marketplace. It's tucked towards the back but not hard to miss it! Super cute inside and there's a fun photo-booth too. I got the Moonlight Lemon Tea with Coconut milk. This was unlike anything I've had before and it was pleasant and refreshing. I believe they used kumquats for this and it tastes like it was infused with lime leaves - almost a little savory? We also tried the Fruit Combo Green Tea which had a variety of fruits mixed in. It was good with 50% sugar. They "hand-beat" a lot of the drinks so you know it's not just sugar syrups! Pricing is on the steeper end. They also have bingsoo and a variety of desserts available. There are also a few tables inside. Overall, I'd be open to trying more drinks in the future when I grocery shop at 88, but wouldn't go out of my way to get any.

The order dashboard, the takeout bags, the efficiency, the consistency of mask wearing reminds me of the coffee/tea chains in mainland. Wow, I'm just so surprised to see it here. The shop is small but still had a lot of people. What's crazy was that the queue is so long from online orders. The efficiency is just like China tho, the queue moved quickly. The options and customization is so detailed. Honestly had no idea what I would start with, but the "popular" tags sort of helped me decide. I got a premium Jasmine milk tea hot with lowest sugar, tongmu lapsang salted cheese milk tea hot with lowest sugar, and pistachio jasmine coconut iced with lowest sugar. All of which had really good and strong tea flavor. The jasmine was the most noticeable, a bit more than I'm used to but really good. All of the drinks were good but not as creamy or thick or heavy as other places-- this is probably both a pro and con depending on how you like it. I didn't like the salted cap, not sure why it's green and tasted like matcha, shouldn't it be for the tongmu lapsang? Perhaps I should order it inside and have them put the cap in the drink. Overall, really happy with the flavors. I would definitely try out some of their other ones in the future. So glad to this Shenzhen chain having a location in Chicago.

I ordered the Jasmine Apple Milk Tea (iced, 30% sweetness, less ice, crystal boba) $8.28. Very refreshing and tasty. Can't tell difference between 50% and 30% sugar taste. The pink delivery bags have a lot of packaging but very aesthetic and it might be reusable? Looks insulated!

DaBoba? More like DaCustard!…read more Wanting a little sweet treat, I stopped into Daboba for a Roasted Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea. I initially attempted to order at the kiosk, only to discover doing so comes with a 3% fee vs. ordering with a human. It's not about the nickels, it's the principle of the thing! I instead placed my order with the clerk - less ice, less sweet. Though it wasn't very busy at the time, the drink came out relatively fast. The service overall was friendly, too! Now, about this beverage... if I'd asked for a "surprise me," I'd be happier. This is because on its own, it was respectable and unique in its custard-like consistency. However, given that I'd ordered a milk tea, where neither the appropriate consistency nor tea notes made an appearance, my happiness and satisfaction levels go down. To give some credit, the beverage I received wasn't too sweet, and had a slight velvety mouthfeel. It was unique and interesting, unlike anything I had ever had before. Final verdict: there is no shortage of boba tea shops around, especially in Chinatown. If you're going to do something different, power to you. However, don't say you sell one thing, and sell another.

It's got a fun vibe with lots of cool Asian-inspired decor. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

We were lucky that this was located in that Chinatown mall because we got parking and we're able to walk directly up here. When I got here, there was no line there was one other patron waiting for her order. There are a couple screens where you put your order in and then they text you because they ask you for your phone number once your order is ready then you pick it up right on the left-hand side of where they're actually is a register. The one girl who was working here that day was very nice and friendly, but I don't think she totally understood me as I was trying to explain the benefits of leaving tip in cash versus tip on the card at the kiosk where you put your order in. We did order two drinks and both drinks are absolutely delicious. However the Taro milk Boba tea was a little bit chewy. You could obviously customize your toppings, the sugar amount, the iced amount, etc. that sounds pretty standard. The flavors were delicious and super fresh so frankly, if this came out of a can or out of powder, it definitely didn't taste like it. Really top quality and great taste for the price. I believe each drink was $6.25 which puts it right at par with a lot of its competitors in Chinatown. Also, if you order some of the unique drinks that come in a unique square cup, believe it or not. The location is completely decked out in their pink. It's very cute and I assume was really put together for the purpose of social media pictures as you can see from the pictures I took. I would definitely come back here again as it is unique however, a lot of the menu is pretty similar across the Boba competitors located in this exact same mall as well.
