Extensive selection, but it didn't take long to decide on the apple-walnut-caramel crêpe to share, costing not much more than 2 ice creams. We watched the lone young man as he poured batter onto the round griddle to just the perfect thinness; as he expertly flipped it; as he loaded on plenty of apple compote, plenty of walnuts, and gently squeezed caramel sauce. Then he folded it into a neat rectangle, scooped it into an exactly the same size pan, flipped the whole thing over onto another griddle and left it to heat while he made a crêpe for the person behind us. At exactly the right moment (was he watching the clock? or maybe he's just THAT good!), he flipped it over, slid the crêpe onto a plate, artistically drizzled more caramel sauce on top and then gently shook some powdered sugar over it. Handed me 2 forks and knives and we sat on stools at the counter for our Sunday afternoon treat! Excellent! They have several savory crêpes (in Paris, those were usually buckwheat crêpes called galettes) and many sweet ones. Unfortunately it's more of a takeout place, with just the few stools at a counter inside, and a couple of small tables outside. Appalling, Contemptuous Treatment of a Paying Customer…read more Shockingly horrible customer service. On August 13, 2026, I placed an order at approximately 5:40 p.m. The restaurant accepted my payment and prepared and served my crêpe without mentioning that they would be closing shortly. Just a few minutes after serving me, an employee abruptly announced that they were closing in two minutes. When I asked what I was expected to do, he told me I had to leave at 6:00 p.m. and that he could package my crêpe to go. When I objected, he rudely told me that I "should have known" they closed at 6:00. If dine-in customers must leave promptly at closing, they should be informed before ordering. I could then have decided whether to order my food to go or eat elsewhere. Instead, they accepted my money, served me, and then almost immediately told me to leave--as though their failure to communicate were somehow my fault. When I asked the employee for his name, he sarcastically replied, "I don't have a name." He then offered to call the company himself but ultimately refused to do so. This was not a simple misunderstanding about closing time. The employee was rude, confrontational, dismissive, and openly contemptuous. A business cannot thrive when customer service is nonexistent--or, worse, when customers are treated with such disrespect. I will not patronize a business that permits its employees to treat customers this way.
