I probably got the least amount of food from one order serving, when compared to the handful of crepe stores that I've been to in the past. An order is around ten dollars, which is fair and the normal pricing for a crepe, but with the ten dollars I paid for in the other stores (which is also located in the NYC area), they would comes with alot more ingredient/topping such as ice cream, fruits, whip cream, nuts etc, which is the standard that I'm basing my experience off of. You could get a sandwich at one of the delis that is literally on every block of the city, but what's exciting about that? Heck, you could even get one of those pre made salads at the drug store but then again, who knows how long it's been sitting there. But why not go out of your comfort zone and try a crepe? Sure, must people think that creeps are only stuffed with bananas and hazelnut spread and served for dessert, but there are so many more options to choose from here that just might broaden your culinary horizon. Be adventurous! I tried the savory crepe with turkey, Gruyere, spinach, and tomato sauce and it was delicious. Sure, it took a few minutes for them to make the crepe from scratch, but it was worth it. My friends that I was with (who opted for the aforementioned deli sandwich) came back with their plastic shopping bags, but immediately regretted their decision when they smelled the fresh crepes inside. Only reason I went with four stars instead of five was they they don't seem to have a way to wrap up the crepes and I ended up having to carry it in a paper sleeve in one hand and my drink in the other back to the park. TLDR: Skip this place! Slow/bad service, potentially broken credit card machine, limited seating, doughy/soggy bland crepes. Only up sides are: there's a bathroom and I believe a gluten free crepe option. I went here with a Groupon. The person didn't know how to ring it up. Their credit card machine was down. Luckily, I had cash on me. Most of their other customers only had credit card and needed to run to the bank for cash. I ordered, paid the price difference, and sat down. When they started serving people who came after me I grew suspicious. I asked how much longer until my order would be done. Apparently, my order was never passed onto the person making the food! I was only the second customer in the place when I ordered. By the time I realized I had been forgotten, it was filling up with the after school rush. I didn't get an apology or anything. They just asked me what I ordered and eventually made it. I got my crepes to go because I was tired of waiting and done with the screaming children hopped up on sugar. What I got: -Savory crepe with Prosciutto, raclette cheese, and sliced potatoes: Very bland! Even the normally salty Prosciutto did not help to balance out the blandness of the cheese and potatoes. It desperately needed a flavorful sauce. -Sweet crepe with Nutella: They packed in way too much Nutella. Toward the end I felt like I was drinking my crepe! I was really disappointed overall with the actual crepes themselves. They were barely crispy on the edges. I think the batter was too thick and they were rushed. So the crepes as a result were extra thick and soggy. Not that delicious crisp with each bite. I wouldn't go back. There are better crepe places or if I'm feeling really adventurous, I'll make my own crepes with extra butter! ***UPDATE: A kind Managing Director from this company reached out to me to help correct my bad first experience here and assure me that they would provide additional training. I will update my review once I give this place one more try. Next time I will request my crepe as crispy and ask them to go easy on the Nutella as suggested. read more
