At this point, it feels like the free consultation doesn't really mean much if they can't even show up or follow through. Our tax situation has become a little complicated. I thought it will be helpful to file it through professionals and their reviews are great on Yelp. We decided to file through his firm. We worked with someone who was helpful and responsive. We filed our 2019 tax return and had to pay about the same amount that we were expecting when we were getting estimates with turbotax. Regardless, it had been a good experience so far. After filing our tax return, I got a letter from California state that we owed more money on 2019 tax return. I thought we must have missed something and paid the amount. Three months later, I got a letter from IRS, that we owed additional money on 2019 tax return. I called IRS after getting a second letter the following month. I am still working with IRS to resolve the issue. It has been messy dealing with all of it. I was really hoping to find a firm that can help us with our tax filings permanently. However after all this, I am frustrated. I will have to look for someone else next year. read more
