At this point, it feels like the free consultation doesn't really mean much if they can't even show up or follow through. This is supposed to be the stage where they make a good first impression, and unfortunately that didn't happen. If they can't respect my time before I'm even a client, it's hard to trust that they will after. Overall, pretty disappointing experience. **Warning about Tracy Tax Services**…read more I want to share my experience so others can be cautious. I had my taxes prepared through Tracy Tax Services, and my approximately $20k tax refund was sent to a bank account that I did not authorize or control. I am currently working with the IRS to try to recover the funds. When I requested copies of my tax returns and related documents, I was told that the tax preparer had been hacked and was unable to provide me with the copies I requested. Unfortunately, my daughter experienced a similar situation with her tax refund, although the amount involved was significantly smaller. This has been an extremely stressful and upsetting experience. I am sharing my experience so that others can be aware and careful! I am continuing to work with the appropriate authorities to resolve this matter and recover the

GWEN BROUSSARD IS OUR MIRACLE WORKER AND THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!…read more This is an extremely long review, but please read it unto the end: We were currently living in a beautiful, convenient, brand new downtown Oakland apartment. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we were given a 90 days' notice to vacate! A dear church member put us in touch with a mortgage lender who qualified us for enough to make a purchase and we were given one of their real estate agents to work with. Being new to the entire process and not knowing that we could use the lender for funding, but select our own agent was traumatic at best! The agent soon dropped us and we were left dead in the water, with now less than 60 days to vacate our unit! We came to Gwen under the direst of circumstances and implored her real-estate prowess for assistance. She gave us a timeline and said "Stick with me and WE WILL FIND YOU A HOME." She was thorough, efficient, patient and no-nonsense (in working w/the seller's agents). She held our hands and walked us through EVERY STEP OF THE PROCESS! From going out to look for homes daily, on down to explaining all the ins and outs of the contracts/agreements, to connecting us with the finest network of agencies, (i.e. home and pest inspectors, etc.) to assist us in the purchasing process. She is a down-right maven, an authority and expert in all things real estate! I can't imagine NOT having had her to be our agent for purchasing our first home! She encouraged us until the very end. There were MANY times we wanted to give up. We were facing this incredible deadline and didn't know if we should just throw in the towel and rent an apartment for $2200/month or to keep searching. She made the entire ordeal something we could totally conquer and wondered why we hadn't sought out her services sooner! We got an offer accepted on our new home about a month before we were mandated to be out of our apartment. She made it possible for the deal to be expedited and we were able to move out of our apartment and received the keys to our beautiful new home on the same day! Our mortgage is several hundred dollars below what we would have given away in rent. Our home is absolutely amazing and perfect for our little family; our neighborhood is cute and the neighbors are friendly. I recommend Gwen not only to YOU but to anyone! As a matter of fact, I recently did recommend someone to her. I had the opportunity to share with her how easy the entire process was with Gwen and how her knowledge and understanding of real estate is a must have and just how REALLY DOABLE the home buying process is with a fantastic agent. She not only took my suggestion and contacted Gwen, but do you know SHE TOO just received the keys to her new home and her deal was completed in even less time than ours! I myself was amazed at how quick the transaction happened from start to finish! I'm telling you from my own personal experience, IF YOU DON'T HAVE A REAL ESTATE AGENT - DO YOURSELF A FAVOR - GET GWEN!!!! You'll thank me that you did and soon be sending my invitation to the housewarming party for YOUR new home! Thanks Gwen Broussard for making a lifelong dream our present day reality for our family.

I've held off on leaving a review as I know that during Covid-19, there is so much change happening…read moreand I want to be understanding towards that. As someone who opts to invest my time and dollars into small business partnerships, I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with the communication from the TMB team. This tax season, I needed to find an accountant that would be able to guide me thru the challenges of filing for my small business and personal taxes. I found this company thru yelp's "quote" feature. Things seemed legit, so I was comfortable moving forward with scheduling an appointment. After coming in for an appointment, I had some follow up work that I needed to do on my end. However, I received an invoice and a contract for services. No worries there. I went ahead and paid the invoice due of roughly $400+. In short, In good faith, I paid for service that was not rendered. Around April- May , communication stopped (due to Covid-19 I assume). I attempted to reach out and found that I was unable to reach anyone thru the phone numbers listed on the website or via email. I got a little worried because I thought that the business closed down and that concerned me. I had given the owner a copy of my W2 during our initial meeting and have paid for services, and have heard nothing. No follow up. I somehow found a new number on their LinkedIn page and gave that a try and was able to get a hold of someone. I was given a new email address to use. We were scheduled to follow up that Monday as the team could only work on a limited schedule due to childcare issues. Definitely understand that, no problem. That Monday meeting never happened. Now, I've forgot what was the best number to get a hold or someone and was back at square one. Fast forward, I was able to work with another team member who would help me along the way. During this process, I was asked to submit a completed schedule c form which was challenging for me because I had never done it before. I reached out to schedule some one on one time with the team which never ended up happening. I followed up with the team member and was told that they were expecting my call and never heard for me. Ok. So clearly we have communication issues. I get it. I feel like I am having to manage communication and I'm not an employee with this organization. I reached out with a reference to the contract is had signed requesting a refund. I was immediately told I would be given a refund for my $400+ with complete disregard to the W2 that I had given the team. Apparently there is no recollection of that. This was on 6/16/20. As of today , 7/20/20, I have emailed three times asking for follow up. I have called that number listed on their website : 510-239-5021. No response. No update. No refund. I am discouraged. I am upset. I work hard to grow my income and be in a healthy place financially only to be ripped off by a business that I wanted to support and grow a long-term partnership. What is interesting to me is that I reached out to a different tax organization, and when discussing what is my part in completing the schedule c form I was informed that I would need to categorize the data and the team will ensure the information is filled in the correct area. Makes sense to me. I'm paying for the expertise of someone that knows taxes on a deeper level than I do. This is solely my experience with this org. I do not know what anyone else's experience is and quite frankly I don't care.
