The cook also put his apron back on again and came and made us a nice meal. After a few hours at pub we decided to take a taxi back to the Excel only to realize many of the restaurants around here were already shut. I walked in here and asked if they would kindly serve us a meal and they obliged. The menu is big and has plenty of choice for veg and non veg eaters. The hummus to start was very nice and flavourful and the shawarma from chicken that followed was also very nice. I had takeaway from here one night and it was also quick and very nice indeed. A decent place for a meal in the area and I would happily come here again.

Second night here, and had previously gone to another Lebanese restaurant the night before. This is only 0.6 mile away from Aloft and is 5 short minute walk from the ExCel. I ran pass by it the day before and I was quite pleasantly surprised this is NOT inside of the ExCel but rather close to the dock. Took photos of it so that I'd remember to come for the evening meal after the show. At 9:30, the restaurant was not too crowded. Ordered Beirut hummus and Lebanese sausage to start. For mains, we had lamb stew, lamb shank, mixed grill and chicken kabobs, It was a lot of food, and they were very very tasty. The place is average priced for Lebanese food, and the portions are fairly decent. The flavors are really good, especially that it came with chips (for us Americans, it's fries, but for the little people who grew up with Charlie and Lola and Doctor Who, they know what's what) for the little people instead of the rice. A very nice gesture. Bread was very fresh. A super satisfying meal. An unexpected treat of that evening: there were fireworks off the dock. While in Britain, someone is celebrating Fourth of July like us. I can assure you this never happens in France over Fourth of July. As happy as it can be.

This is why outs going to make me feel badly to say this, but not the best chicken shwarma, hummus, or tabouli that I've ever had. It was a bit bland, but sweet service which have them a 3-star rating. So the chicken shwarma was with dark meat and I've only ever had it with white meat. I got a small sliver of bone as that will stop me in my eating tracks! I know it's lame to say but it's a texture thing and it changes everything for me. Luckily it was toward the end so I didn't leave much. And yes, I know it will happen, even to us when we prepare our own food at home(not really) but I don't hold it against them. Its a personal thing for me.

They are situated outside the O2 arena opposite Ravensbourne college. They have a dining area next to the kiosk where one could eat their food and chill. Quiet a simple layout with dining tables and chairs, they also have a couches lined up against the wall. We were served by a lovely gentleman, very friendly and welcoming! Reason for not the full 5 stars was because the food my friend wanted to order wasn't available, so we opted for chicken and lamb shawarma with salad. Wonderfully made and very filling! They also had 'The Beatles' playing in the backgroud...FAB! I will definitely visit again :)

The meat is seasoned well without being too salty and I love how everything is paired with veggies and pita for a full meal. Pricing was a bit high for the portion, but everything was delicious. DRINKS Zest and Zing was a refreshing and lightly sweetened mocktail. The pita balagan was crispy with a dollop of bruschetta. ENTREE - Shawarma: bite sized seasoned beef loaded with veggies and hummus (£24) - Chicken: flavorful, perfectly cooked!
