Years ago my friends and I would go to chachos on westheimer after the clubs. After this trip, either I didn't have taste back then or this location or company went down hill. I ordered enchilada w ground meat, guac salad and fish tacos drive through. Tip: do not go to the outer machine cause it's just for looks (it's busted). When you get to the cashier be prepared for a cold wind machines blowing at you. It was already windy and cold that day so, why have it on? I dunno. The enchilada was salty, rice was Mushy and cheese was like my fat if I saw it outside of my body or old cheese melted in the sun. The fish tacos were like the guard. The guac said had no taste, I should have asked for lemon/lime, salt/pepper, and some chopped onions...oh wait that would be me making guac for myself wouldn't it?? I was hungry so I forced myself to mix the guac salad and enchilada together but even so I only had a few bites and end up letting the rest go to waste, which I hate doing. read more

Chacho's is for Machos!... My bff was in town and was hungry. He ordered the chicken fajita burrito - it's huge. There is a half order or full order - if you are doing this solo, go half. I wasn't hungry but he forced me to order something so I got the 6 pc spicy wings. And I will say that they were good. (apparently my bff liked them too since he ate like 4 of them..lol -- as I said before, I wasn't very hungry) I don't frequent this place but have heard they make good margaritas.. I'll def try it again. read more

Think of this as a local chipotle. It's not authentic mexican food. It's modern and enjoyable. The service is merely "okay". I don't have any complaints. read more

PORTION SIZE AND DELICIOUSNESS. This place never fails you when it comes to the to portion and good ass food. I usually get either the half Kong nachos, the full steak fajita burrito, or the steak fajita quesadilla. All come with sides of guac and soir cream and the nachos come smothered in cheese steak chicken fajita beans. Each of these items come in their own box filling it to the brim. This will fee me and my two brothers for the night and maybe lunch tomorrow. I live in the area so yeah it could get sketch at the later hours but I always To-Go my orders. I have never eaten inside. But If you want some delicious artery clogging Tex Mex you found the place. read more

Would give zero stars if it were an option. I drove the long way home from work this morning after working all night because my mom wanted a Carne guisada taco from Chacho's and I get there to a 24 hour establishment and they tell me that they are closed right now that they can't take any orders even though there are workers actually there in the building, they refuse to take my order. Beyond mad because my mom specifically wanted this one thing picked up since she watched my kids all night long for me to work. I am a nurse I worked until after 6 am. read more

Those nachos though. Friend of ours took us here and said we would be receiving a wreath of nachos and she was not kidding. They were as big as a large pizza and piled high. It had 4 different kinds of meats on it and the queso was amazing. I saw a burrito the size of a child there, no joke. Its open 24/7 and has a salsa bar. read more

Staff is very rude and with low speakers you can't even hear what they are saying and they can't hear what your saying so they get your order wrong and they don't even repeat the order to you before you pay and you drive away with a the wrong order to be honest this is the closest one to me but I wouldn't be returning at all read more

I came here for lunch today, but I had a terrible experience. Are usually go to the location off of 610, but I saw the sign off the side of the freeway and decided to try it, big mistake. First I got the shredded chicken enchiladas, but the enchilada sauce was really weird. It was literally like straight tomato sauce. Next, I Got the beef fajita nachos, but they were extremely disappointing. The fajita meat tasted great, but the cheese was really chunky and not even melted all the way. I went to talk to the manager, but they refused to give me a refund. Instead, they told me that they could make me something to go, but if I already had problems with 2 orders why would I want more food? I literally took like maybe one bite of the enchiladas and one bite of the nachos, but they claimed that I eat the food and was just trying to get a refund. Management did not seem to care about my experience. I'm extremely disappointed and will not be returning. read more

If you want nacho, come to this place! I work 10 mins from this place and we (3 people) usually order half-side of the monster nacho and most of the time, we can't finish it. Since we order Togo, we usually request to put everything separated and it's an extra $2. Last time I order the shredded chicken half size taco. It's $13 total! Feed 3 with extra! read more

I use to love this place back in 2013 but now it's just blah I only go here when I really really want nachos and when I'm hungry and in the area, other than that I wouldn't stop here some of the workers are assholes and I've been having really bad experiences here lately. One day last year I went and got a small chicken fajita nacho with extra cheese when I tell you they filled the whole container up with cheese I couldn't see not a chip I had to just throw it away it was just a waste of money I guess they called themselves being funny. So one day this year I went and ordered 3 nachos 1 medium chicken fajita, 1 medium half chicken half steak and 1 large chicken fajita so we received the nachos fo home and was pissed it was barely cheese on any of them barley meat and a lot of chips so we call in the manager jonathan (I think) told us to come back and he will give us extra cheese and meat which he did and even gave us a few drinks. You have dance where the cheese is burt and they will still serve it to you and not think twice about it I have had a lot of bad experiences here But some of the people are nice then you have the ones that treat you like shit so yeah read more

Got a half order of monster Kong nachos to go as well as some wings. Got home and found they didn't even put the wings in the bag. We have eaten at a different location many times before and I know how large just a half order of these nachos are and the amount that we received are and I would more like the leftovers that we would bring home after eating our fill at the other place. I honestly feel very cheated and will not be returning. We only got it to go because they were closed down on the inside but considering it was nine at night, we didn't think that was a big deal. read more

Never fail to disappoint. Order the traditional breakfast and the bacon is burnt and there's no unsweet tea. When I tell them about the lack of tea, which is always the case, they put sweet tea in and tell me it'll be 20 mins before the unsweet is ready. There was already sweet tea there. This place sucks. So. My friends from the Netherlands are in town, we're driving home from IAH to Clear Lake and we're all starving. Where to take the Dutchies that says Texas? That's also quick and cheap and delicious? Taco Cabana! Wait. No, Chachos! Not sure why we chose Chachos over TC but I am so glad we did! It was fantastic...the food was delicious and the service was just fine. I ordered half a burrito, forgetting how freaking huge their burritos were! But it was vacation time and I was hungry! Hubby and I also ordered nachos to share and he ordered tacos. Damn we had a lot of good food! My Dutch friends ordered fish tacos and quesadillas and both loved their food as well. I loved the atmosphere as it really screamed Tex-Mex and Texas to my friends, plus they loved the food and the salsa bar. This was such a win/win all around! I wish there were a Chachos closer to me but I'm glad there isn't, as I would be running a LOT more miles to run off all of the yummy goodness. read more

Hey it's Chacho's, not expecting a 5 star meal here. But this is a good spot to soak up those morning after hangovers or to get your greasy Tex-Mex fix. This location doesn't have a full bar, but they do serve ritas & beer. Staff has been friendly the times I've been there & they keep the tables pretty clean. From time to time it can be a bit of a wait for no reason, but it's just never been horrible. I wish they would've left that small patio portion alone vs. closing it in. Also, be warned it can get pretty dagum cold in there. read more

I've neverrr gone during the day so im not sure how it is during that time, but I placed an Order for a torta at 12:50 A.M. I got there at 1:05 a.m. to pick up, just for them to say there wasnt any call in orders. I said Id just go ahead and place the order, and was told they were making tortas at that time. Like, really? i called to place the order, they could've told me they weren't taking over the phone orders, or that they didnt make tortas at that time. But whatever, no big deal. I ordered a big quesadilla, and it tasted realllyyy great! Id give them 4 stars, but ill give them 3 simply beacon the night shift were a bit rude, I understand being open 24/7 must be a drag, but they could at least fake it for the time that they need to speak to a customer. Five star fish tacos. Marinated, not fried. With a creamy salsa, shredded cabbage, ripe avocado & fresh house made corn tortillas. Texas sized so you really just need one. This place gets top marks for being open 24 hours. You have to love that! I get the steakhouse beef fajita torta all the time, and it is always amazing, filled with lots of beef fajita, lettuce, beans, avocado, and melted cheese (I get mine without tomatoes). It's so so good! The last 2 times I have gone, they have had this amazing mango salsa. It's got pieces of jalapeno in it, so it's very spicy, but the chunks of mango and jicama are so tasty. Also, if you can get there in time for their lunch specials, you should try them. My favorite is the top one with the fajita taco, rice, beans, tortilla soup, caesar salad, and drink; it's a ton of food for the price! The chips, however, were hard, and the queso bland, but a lot of people still get the nachos anyway. :) Go for the torta or the lunch special! You won't regret it! read more

This place gets High marks for most likely to be trashedy drunk and having nachos at 2am. I was at a friends house and she recommended this as a late night eatery and we couldn't have chosen a better middle of the road place. I suspect you could get mugged on the way in but having grown up in and around Baton Rouge and NOLA this just comes with the territory. Keep to yourself, go inside quickly and leave your car locked on your old hooptie Honda Accord. I was asked if I wanted queso by a guy who spoke English almost as poor as mine. Now, here's the conundrum. Is queso liquid cheese? Is the pasteurized processed cheese food of the Texan or is this a Mexican guy asking me if I want Cheese on my nachos. After deliberating and some back and forth conversation I got some cheese like substance on my nachos. It was the pasteurized processed cheese of the gods. I had some chipped beef or beef on my nachos and the bar had a large assortment of salsas toppings and garnishes to satisfy any late night guy who happened to have just broken up with a girl and wants to drown himself in salsa to ease the pain of loss. Over pleasant conversation my friend and I discussed love and love lost. How Houston reminded me of NOLA +Mexicans and how fun it is to have a hite guy in the kitchen working with other Mexican and Black folks. Token! The food is ok, don't go expecting high end but I liked it. I felt like Tony Bourdain getting a dirty water hot dog. There's a cultural component to eating something like this in the 4th largest city in the US. Chachos don't let anyone put you down. Hold your head high, wear a little salsa on your shirt and please keep the cheese liquid. read more

The portions were big, and the Ingredients fresh. I'll definitely be returning while in Houston.

Okay first thing first COME HERE FOR THE PORTIONS AND NOTHING ELSE. With that framework set, this is one of my favorite tex-mex places in Houston. I don't think I need to post a photo to prove their portions are gigantic. I've been here countless times and everytime the food comes out hot, quick, and flavorful! Nachos are their specialty, mounted high with meat, queso, guacamole, sour cream, and beans. The steak is my personal protein for these. A small or medium portion can be split between two! The margaritas are tasty but way overpriced for the size. The pina colada actually taste better than the margs but are the same ridiculous price. I will say, this place can be sketch at times. This is typical for any place that stays open 24/7 and is on the route from in town partying to north Houston homes and suburbs. Nonetheless HAND DOWN some of the best nachos in Houston! read more

OK so I visited this place last week and maybe it was not the best idea to go after at 3AM on the way home after dancing with my wife but this place was interesting to say the least. The cashier went down so it look like 15 min before I could place my order. While I was waiting there was a crazy mix of people walking into the place. As expected, at the time that I visited most people were getting out out clubs so a lot of intoxicated individuals and exotic dancers there at that time. The guy sitting next to us decided wake up from his drunken sleep and vomit while I was eating which was pretty gross to say the least. I know you might be wondering why I am even giving this place two stars? I eat a raw vegan diet and to my surprise, the guacamole salad they had on the menu was perfect for me. I typically order sides of lettuce, tomatoes, pico de gallo and guacamole to make this at other Mexican restaurants but they already had it on the menu here. The portion was actually pretty large and left me really full. They also have a fresh salsa bar that is pretty well tended to and had it even included three varieties of fresh and uncooked salsas as well. I am not sure that I would go back, for sure not at 3AM again at least. But if you are vegetarian or vegan, need a quick cheap meal and don't mind the crowd then I would recommend it, but only as a last resorts haha. read more

The beef fajita (mesquite) taco was great (not as amazing as the one on 610). Only three stars because of the decor. It doesn't look as clean as the other two I've been to. Also, there was a bus guy just staring at people as they ate and it was freakin' creepy. No, not in that waiting until you finish so I can bus your table sort of way. Coming from the club this was always the place to be going the best margaritas and of course food nachos the delux meal they could have better parking this place gets jam packed the whole entire parking lot is full to capacity the food is okay it could be better sometimes there chips are stale not fresh the cheese sauce is to dry it does not taste good the workers have bad attitudes they could be better. But overall if you are looking for a quick fix this is the area to go to if you don't feel like driving far stop and have a drink the staff does keep the restaurant clean the bathrooms are not the best could use a make over though at least it is toilet paper inside the stalls along with soap I have been to some restaurants where there is no soap or paper in the bathroom. Stopping to get some breakfast tacos, I decided to give Chachos a try. I use the drive thru service which was quick and courteous. I ordered bacon and egg tacos which were hot and fresh. Thumbs up for being 24/7. I cannot stand the late nite Denny's and IHOPs of the world. Thumbs up for fresh tortillas, rolled by a lady with a rolling pin. Old school. Thumbs up for the chicken quesadillas and the nachos. Everything is huge. Now the bad news. The area isn't the best. Lock your car. My husband loves Mexican food. He ordered the Mexican plate. Taco, enchilada, rice, and beans. He hated it. No accounting for that, but there is the sole reason for the mediocre rating. Oh yeah.... we ran out the door just as the Macarena was beginning. If you want a cheap place to get some Mexican food and get a little drunk this is the place to go! They don't have a happy hour or anything like that but if it's late and you need a margarita no worries they open 24 hours. No matter what you get the portion sizes are pretty huge. I usually get the chicken fajita nachos full size and share it with a friend! They have patron margaritas as well as frozen Hennessy margaritas so they have quiet a few to choose from!
