Wow! A nice gal on the street with dog named BEAR from Seattle that moved here told us to come here. (Sounds like a song) So owners buy her a beer when she comes back in. Wow again. Local Lisbon guy waiting on us - may be the owner. Very informative and accommodating. I don't care what it cost as I now know why "super bock" beer at all other places is €1,20. You pay for what you get and here is no exception. Not cheap, but very FAIR. The beer is awesome. I am from America and don't drink all that much IPA but seeked it out here and love it. I had #5 "creature". Perfect!! And it is a local beer. Nice job

Details, details, details! Cerveteca Lisboa is a great and surprising craft beer bar in Lisbon. From the handmade tables to the wide selection of international craft beers, this is a great stop before or after a day of climbing the hills and taking in the city.

When stomping around the city of seven hills, you'll undoubtedly work up a thirst. If you fancy a libation of the beery persuasion, look no further than Cerveteca Lisboa. Located adjacent to the achingly beautiful Praça des Flores in Lisbon's centre, it's a taproom dropped inside a picturesque local neighbourhood. It boasts 12 rotating taps with both International and Portuguese breweries represented and have an impressive bottle selection to boot. The atmosphere is bright, congenial and welcoming- staff are chatty and polite, willing to take the time with each customer and go through that day's beer list. I recommend ordering a flight of five one-third pints and leaving the selection to your server- but make sure to try anything local as well. I sampled the 'Ginja Ninja' from Lisbon-based Mean Sardine and de Molen that was on point and a beautifully crisp IPA from Oitava Colina, another Lisbon brewery. Make sure to order the traditional Portuguese bar snack, lupin beans- akin to edamame beans and salted with a little heat from fresh chilies, it's the perfect accompaniment to the more astringent beers. The flights cost 9€, so it's a relative steal when compared to London prices. The atmosphere is relaxed, airy and modest- lots of little wooden tables with stools are fitted with a small library of books on everyone's favourite subject: beer. It's perfect for a lazy afternoon of drinking, so don't miss it. Oh, and there's an outstanding gelateria in the neighbourhood as well- just ask the staff to point you towards Nannarella.

    Triple Karmeliet on tap!

Great selection of diverse craft beer & knowledgeable + friendly staff. For example, they had many Belgian ales/strong ales - which I love -including 2 on tap, favorites, and brands new to me.

The shops are set all the way in behind the tables and umbrellas, so unless you really walk up to it, you may pass by this place many times and not find it. I'm thrilled that with each visit to Portugal the local beer scene is getting more vibrant. While there are more micro-breweries, it's hard for a traveler to visit, as it's a challenge to find out accurate info about their opening hours - if they are open to public - and then trying to fit the visits into your schedule. You also need to pray that they open as scheduled. Now, there is Beer Station, which specializes in local crafts, is right smack in the middle of the tourist area, is open for long hours, and has very affordable prices. So you tourists can just sit back, relax, and have a jolly good time. Bottles are around €4, and for draft, you can get 20cl for €3 or 40cl for €5. A flight of three is only €5, very affordable (wish I have $5 flights back home!!) and a great way to go for trying different beers. And don't forget to go inside and check out their bottles selection in the fridge, and get some for souvenirs. The staff will be more than happy to help with your selection and tell you more about the Portuguese craft beer scene!

I have Celiac disease and so navigating food when traveling is always an experience for me and I immediately tagged this place as one we would return to. Sadly, when we went and I said I needed to be gluten-free and asked if they had a separate menu when I only saw three items the server said "We really don't have a lot." ...then why is it advertised in huge letters on the sign outside? Felt strange. The service was exceptional of course - none of this at all is a condemnation of the employees - they were all great and attentive and helpful... I just think the advertising of the menu and branding needs... some rework? The check arrived with major sticker shock for fries, wings, and sangria (that was way way too sweet). We spend a good amount of our disposable income on dining out, with intent, and the value ratio for this one was... off. Environment? Very chill neighborhood "burger bar" type place. There are some couches and lots of art on the walls for purchase and pretty extensive beer list - larger than I had seen at any other restaurant in Alfama and beyond.

Ended up squeezing in at a table by the door, not ideal as we were already cold and wet, but didn't want to have to go back out in the rain to find someplace else. Service was quick and friendly and we ordered a couple of local draft beers and the Piri Piri wings and a prawn sandwich. Prawn sandwich was ok, not a lot of flavor but came with some sweet potato chips and a nice arugula salad. Wings were fantastic, fell off the bone, grilled perfectly with just a bit of heat. Came with a sweet chili sauce for dipping. Beers were decent. Probably would have given it 5 stars but it was so loud and cold that we had a hard time enjoying the atmosphere and good food.

As I continue to slowly get through the large list of review drafts I wrote when I was in Portugal,…read moreat this point, a bit over 3 months ago, in no particular order... this was one of two places that ended up on my list of places I had to try a famous bifana sandwich when I was in Lisbon, the other being As Bifanas do Afonso, a review draft I also need to finish. So, the *vibe* of this place, I'd call... packed and frenetic. Inside, it's cramped, load and chaotic, which I personally liked less (outside seemed calmer, other than the fact that it kept raining off and on.) It wasn't immediately clear how to get a seat (answer: you can just take one if you see one that's free). It was unclear initially, too, how you were supposed to order (a waiter will see you eventually, maybe, but you can also just give your order to the bar). Was also unclear initially how I was supposed to pay when I was done (see above.) But at least there *were* seats and an inside, unlike at As Bifanas the day before, where it was also raining... For all of that, though, I'd 100% come back here again if I were in Lisbon, assuming the quality hadn't gone down or the prices way up, of course. As of now about 3 months ago, it was a great sandwich (I thought a little better than the other bifana I had the day earlier, though they were both great.) Great bread, great meat, great cheese, and also great condiments, which, like at As Bifanas, were self-serve, so you could put a whole bunch on if you wanted, which you do. I also had a bowl of an extremely good vegetable soup with it, and paired it with another local drink I finally got the chance to try here, a weird combo that works surprisingly well, beer mixed with vermouth. All for 7.50 euros. Just wish I'd been hungrier! I still wouldn't wait in line for an hour, though. Very things I would do that for. Good thing I only had to wait like 5 minutes. :p
