This is a typical brewpub, it reminds me of most of the brewpubs that we have in the States. The beers were nice here and the staff were friendly...

Good little brewery with a nice selection of taps including IPAs and a white stout. Stop by and check it out.

Solid little brewery on a slopes pedestrian street in one of Lisbon's great neighborhoods. After getting my fill of the two competing light lagers that assert control over Portugal's beer scene, I was pleased to get some colorful, flavorful craft beers, served in nice tulip glassware. It was a rainy Sunday evening when we stopped in, after just arriving that morning from the United States. Happened to meet some other Americans at the community table, which provided some good conversation. If there was better weather there might have been more people enjoying the space on the street, as I saw that happening when I walked by a night or two later. I enjoyed the hemp beer and the NE-style IPA was more of a session, but still good. Their dozen or so offerings were well-labeled and I appreciated the complimentary water. Especially appreciated the three size options of 20mL, 40mL, or 1L pours. Solid place to get a fresh craft brew!

I had an amazing time at Duque and while the beers are not a Euro like at some smaller cafes, it is worth it because the list of craft beers they have is quite impressive. I wish I remembered what I had but I know it was light and similar to an Allagash but definitely wasn't. I also tried a cherry liqueur here that was very delicious and completely put me over the top that night lol. I know detailed review right? We ordered a few tapas and they were awesome and perfect for soaking up some of the alcohol that was necessary. We had olives that were some of the best I have ever had, a load of bread with such flavorful olive oil, and homemade chips. The ambiance outside on the steps is super cool, especially as the sun goes down and the night begins in Lisbon. There is no service outside, so make sure someone is going to be the one to go in and get the beer and order the snacks! I saw a couple sharing a gigantic liter of brew which looked like it was in a gigantic beaker for a science experiment.

Great place to get a brew! We were just walking around the neighborhood and found it on Yelp for a place nearby to get a beer. Prices are a little higher than you'd find elsewhere but there aren't many other options in the area for craft brews. Nice atmosphere.

Duque Brewpub opened in February this year. It's a cosy taproom specialising in Portuguese craft beer located on a scenic cobblestone sidewalk in Lisbon. Access will require ascension of a serious of steps- ubiquitous to Lisbon- but the reward for the exertion is sweet. The so-called pub is more of a trendy bar lifted straight out of East London- complete with staff that would fit right into a Shoreditch dive- but the façade is clearly continental. A colourful mosaic of Portuguese tiles and terracotta pots decorate the exterior, contrasted by the concrete floors and minimal fittings on the interior. Across ten taps, Duque proffers Portuguese beer exclusively. When we visited, there was a wide range of styles, from an imperial stout to a hibiscus saison. In addition to this, there is an extensive bottle menu that represents a number of local breweries. The on-site brewery, Cerveja Aroeira, will eventually take over up to half of the taps, but only one of their beers was on the menu on the afternoon we visited. The outdoor seating is located directly outside the front bi-fold doors, allowing you to sip your pint (or half) underneath the shade of a parasol- there are a few small businesses nearby, making the din of preparing for that evening's service or the occasional customer very good entertainment. Duque had a catchy soundtrack of 70s and 80s hits wafting through the air during our session and the environment was casual, buzzy and a pleasant way to let the afternoon slip by. Staff were helpful, eager and spoke English very well- they were able to make recommendations and offered table service for those too busy lavishing the sun. Beer prices were about 5- 10 euros for 40cl depending on what style you ordered. If visiting Lisbon, I highly recommend this little gem- it's slightly out of the way, but you'll love sitting out on the street with a thirst-quenching beer- the craft beer scene is moving at breakneck speed here and there's some really great breweries to discover.

After drinking Sagres, Cristal and Super Bock beer our entire trip in Portugal, we were so excited when we stumbled upon Duque the night before we had to return home. The brewpub is small with a laid back vibe....wooden tables, small stools and great music. There were 12 beers on tap. Six beers were their own brews and the others were from surrounding breweries. We love the New England style beers and enjoyed one from a guest brewery....Post Scriptum, Momadonna. We also wanted to sample one of Duque'a home brewed beers and really enjoyed the Amarguinho Pale Ale. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful with beer selection. There's outdoor seating as well, but we sat outside everywhere we went in Lisbon and loved the indoor feel of the pub. Wish we would have discovered this place earlier in our stay! Definitely worth a visit!!

Great spot to try some local (and well made!) craft beer. I had no idea Lisbon had a burgeoning craft brew scene, but couldn't have been more impressed by the beers they are making. Here at Duque, they are pouring some guest beers as well as theirs (Duque isn't the name of the brewery - it's Aroeira - so if you're also on Untappd, that's where you'll see their stuff reviewed). Their production (bottled) beers are made elsewhere, but Pedro is brewing small batch beers on site. There was a fresh Rye Pale that had a perfect balance between the spiciness of the rye and fruity hops. If you're into craft, it's a must-stop while in Lisbon.

Fantastic place to grab a beer. Both outdoor and indoor seating which was an added bonus! Decent amount of local beers on tap and staff was pretty chill. It's a long way up a bunch of stairs so you get a workout before you start drinking

Great spot. Cool vibe. Really good craft beer. Nice music. Right off the winding stairway. Glad I skipped the touristy places below and stopped in!

Lots of great beers in a city that isn't exactly known for beer. I love that you can sit outside if the weather is nice.

There's actually a great view even from the window to outside right from where you order beer, and an even better view from the outside patio, but if you want the best view (or if their tasting room is full; it isn't huge), you can walk less than a block around the corner, which, because Europe isn't stupid like the US, you can do with a beer! This was at the end of our trip, but I still hadn't totally gotten used to it - they'll charge you a refundable 1 euro deposit to put your beer in a to-go plastic cup (or you can keep the cup as a souvenir for 1 euro, I suppose). Beer-wise, it looks like the sort of place where the beer list rotates pretty frequently - but when I was there, they had a pretty good variety of styles. They were also happy to let me try a few things before committing - I tried, at least in splash, a great double ipa, a pretty solid small (3%) IPA, a pretty solid pear gose, a pretty solid porter, and a wonderful semi-sweet ginger cider. Had two pints - and probably would've had more, if it hadn't already been sunset when we got here. Strongly recommended if you like good craft beer.
