This is the location hidden in a refreshingly quiet alley behind Plaza Nueva. I was wandering around center after a flamenco show alone, just needing a tiny bite before heading home as all the grocery stores were closed at 9pm, and not every place feels comfortable to pull up a seat at the bar alone. This place was great because most of the people in there were local families and I didn't get any weird looks nor unwanted attention. Just two employees behind the bar doing a great job at doing everything. Got one beer on tap (2 Euros) and it came with a generous tapa portion: the fresh cooked sandwich with potato chips and olives. Fun to look at all of the napkins people have scribbled on, posted around the walls.
This is a low key place with low key prices. While I felt comfortable there alone, it is also a great place for groups as it is large, with lots of space and big tables, and I get the sense it's never too crowded as it is somewhat hidden and off the main path. read more
