The food here is out of the world!! We enjoyed all the dishes we got so much on our first day in Granada so had to go back. We tried oxtail burger, grilled octopus, aged steak, assorted tapas, curry cod, and grilled squid along with red wine and sangria. All AMAZING. Our server Javier was very attentive and gave us great suggestions both times. Lastly the ambiance was romantic and casual.

What a fantastic experience! My wife and I were only able to be in Grenada for 1 full day and we came across La Vinoteca. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Robert was our waiter and he gave us great suggestions. If you takeaway nothing else from this review, just know for us it was a must re-do. Not only did we enjoy lunch, but we came back after 20:30 and finished off the night with some tasty drinks and tapas!

Very good! This place was right around the corner from my hotel. Wine selection was good as well

Vinoteca is a sweet oasis from the hustle and bustle on Gran Via. So much so that in my two days in Granada we went twice! The ambiance is one of my favorite things about this place. There are only a few high top tables outside then inside there is a front room near their wine cellar and the back room is decorated very cool with the tops of wine crates and flowers on every table. Their menu has a mixture of appetizers, plates to share and excellent wine. Although they have some classic Spanish tapas on their menu, they had quite a few things that catered more to our American tastebuds. Their wine menu had quite a few choices including wine made in Granada. The wine can be ordered by the vaso (glass) or botella (bottle). The menu has all their choices in Spanish then the English translation is directly under it. They also gave us a book with pictures of their dishes so this can be helpful if you're still not sure what anything is as well. Make no mistake though, even though it was an easy and comfortable experience as tourists there seemed to be mostly locals or native Spaniards eating here. Upon being seated they bring you a plate with a few slices of Spanish cheese (I think Manchego, but whatever it was it was delicious) and bread crisps with olive oil and some seasoning. They also bring a basket with fresh bread. The first time we came here we ordered the quinoa, tomato and avocado salad with chicken, gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp) and the mushroom risotto. All of these dishes were amazing. The shrimp was my favorite because of all the roast garlic. We each got a few glasses of the rioja (red) which was great. The second time we came here we again got the quinoa salad then a bocadillo (open faced sandwich) with caramelized onion and Brie cheese and the tuna tartare with guacamole. My favorite from this meal was the tuna tartare. It was beautifully presented and had on the platter wasabi, a light mango purée and a dish with soy sauce with sesame seeds. It was served with bread crisps. This visit we got white wine. The waiter recommended an excellent seco (dry) white. My friend ended up drinking 3 glasses and I had 2. The service was excellent both times. My friend and I spoke in Spanish to them and it was evident they were willing to speak English but one of the waiters was complimentary and encouraged us as we slightly struggled through some of the words. They came to check on us and they were great both times. The location, food, ambiance, service and overall experience was outstanding. I highly recommend this as a relaxing and charming experience.

Love this place! My family of four needed a place to have dinner on Christmas Eve and Vinoteca made it easy with a reservation. Ordering was a breeze since they had a booklet with pictures of every plate - yes please!! My family was given some Queso de Oveja to start and ordered the Rueda de Montaditos, Huevos Estrellados con Jamón, Hamburguesa de Rabo de Toro (oxtail), and the Lomo Alto de Ternera to share. It was more than enough food and extremely memorable, as the oxtail was divine. Truly appreciate the attentive service and the friendly atmosphere - thank you again!

Absolutely wonderful dinning experience. Place opened at 7:30 and we were the First there, within 30 min it was already packed and for good reason. Tapas were flavorful and decent size serving. Lots of reasonably priced wine selections. We loved the caramelized onion, smoked salmon, and pork with mustard/cheese apetisers. The grilled squid, garlic shrimp and grilled vegetables were also top notch - on top of that all dishes were very reasonably priced so you get a lot of value. Highly recommended. Would come again.

Great place right off the popular Elvira street. They open at 8pm for tapas. Food was fantastic. We got there right at 8 and had no issue getting seated but within 15 minutes I think the place was packed and there would be a wait for a table.

I love oxtail, so I had to try their oxtail burger. Along with it, I ordered a glass of wine that came with a free tapa. The tapa consisted of thin slices of crunchy toast with a slice of cheese. A nice small bite that paired well with the wine. The burger itself looks awesome and is a good portion of meat. It's nice to have an entire thick patty of oxtail meat without having to deal with the annoying oxtail bone. Also, the sweet caramelized onions on top added a bunch of flavor, and the gravy added some moisture. Not to mention the nice crispy chip on top. The only complaints I have are the meat was slightly dry and didn't have much seasoning or flavoring, though the gravy and onions helped somewhat. Overall, La Vinoteca seems like a nice place with an interesting menu. The oxtail burger is a great way of satisfying your oxtail cravings.

There are casual seats for quick meal or drink and cozy wider seats inside. They had even a Japanese menu also one with pictures of dishes. Must serve a lots tourists. The salmorejo soup was amazing and rich. So I ate a lot of bread with it and ended up having only a salad afterwards. The warm salad with eel, iberico and asparagus was a lot flavored and tasty.I don't know what kind of eel this was. Very small and thin like boiled young sardines.(シラスみたいだった) Never eaten before though. The service, food and prices were all nice but not really that overwhelming so I rated 4 star ; )

This place was a bit hard to find, but was worth the search. My wife and I got the fixe prix menu for 10.95 euro each. We both got a tuna appetizer and a calamari main dish. For dessert I had a lemon sorbet while my wife got the strawberries and cream. Food was good, ambiance was nice, price was right, we'd definitely come back here again.

Wide variety of tapas, good wine, excellent service (much friendlier and more attentive than what is typical of Spain).

To their credit, the service was the "best" (most attentive, by US standards) of almost anywhere we've been in Spain so far. That said, the food was average and at least partially frozen-reheated. The cod and oxtail were both cooked pretty well, but didn't come out entirely hot. I'm pretty sure the roast potatoes with most dishes were frozen/reheated since they were a bit sqiushy, and so were the green peas and such. Bread came automatically but was commercial and nothing special. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't especially great either.

Better was the food . A really pleasant surprise. A major plus is the atmosphere which feels really authentically Spanish with a largely local crowd that night. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

The downsides - they don't really speak English, the menu is Spanish only, and it's crowded and standing room only type of bar - so it's hard to get the attention of the bartenders if you don't speak Spanish or don't know how to navigate a Spanish tapas bar. The food was ok in terms of quality, nothing super delicious but not bad either. Just average. But the value was phenomenal. The free tapas options that come w your drink(s) are a saucy rice & meat dish w bread or a mushroom dish with bread. The mushrooms looked canned (ew) so we went with the rice/meat/veggies dish which was pretty good.
