Our travel agent recommended this restaurant before visiting the Alhambra. We wandered the town trying to find the address using maps, and perhaps indirectly we at last arrived. What an amazing and spectacular location. Our entire balcony table looked up to the Alhambra. Service was excellent service and the food very good. I don't remember exactly what each member of our group of four had, but I know all four of us were very pleased. It just felt like this was the right place and experience for the occasion of visiting Granada.

The view of The Alhambra from our table as the sun was setting.

My husband and I went here for an anniversary dinner (the restaurant did not know it was for our anniversary). We had an amazing dinner and they sat us at the best table with a direct view of The Alhambra. The staff was amazing and attentive. The ambiance was perfect. We could not have been more pleased. The food and dessert were delicious. We would highly recommend El Trillo for great food, romantic dinner and a view of the Alhambra.

    Spinach salad

Came in recommendation of our air BnB host. Overall experience was good. Not partcularlily busy as it was winter. Outdoor dinning basically empty. Food decent - appetizers were excellent ( artichoke with shrimp and ham, spinach salad was fresh). Main Couse was mixed - Iberico pork shoulder was solid but we thought the cod fish main Couse was not that fresh. Mushroom risotto was tasty - my daughter did enjoy it. Service was proficient with one hiccup. We initially ordered a glass of wine but decided to go with bottle for the house wine. They brought to table a 3/4 bottle of wine and I informed waiter that this is not a full bottle and they did bring out then a new bottle - however this did left a negative vibe of the experience. Much rather they charge the glass and then the bottle then to pass off the already opened/served bottle as new. Think this is an area of improvement needed. Food overall was good except for the cod ( does not seem fresh) Desert was decent.

So many incredible things to talk about-the service sets the bar. Friendly and accommodating and extremely helpful. Party of four had octopus, mushroom and Artichoke for starters. Not a missed beat. Mains- octopus and egg, pork cheeks and beef. To. Die. For. Dessert was more surprises - cheesecake with tomato jam (!) and tiramisu. Unbelievable!! When in Granada make a special trip halfway up the hill towards st. Nicolas church for amazing food.

A relaxing lunch experience in the middle of a garden. The burger is unique and delicious

    Leek and tomato pie

We stopped here for a quick bite before a flamenco show. Such a great idea. Thanks for the recommendation Ainhoa Esteban Olivera! This was a terrific experience. Couscous with shrimp, leek and tomato pie and a delectable leche frita dessert. So good. The service was exceptional.

Came here on a quiet, sunny afternoon for a casual birthday lunch with my husband. The food here is pleasantly unexpected and unique. We shared the mint hummus (freshly made with a generous side of bread and crackers), grilled artichokes (olive oil and sea salt really accentuated the taste), and the cod with egg and red Thai chilies (super fresh, seasoned really well, spicy; the potatoes were perfectly crispy and not drenched in oil). We also ordered the cheesecake (light, creamy, with a solid crust that crumbles easily in your mouth) and coffee for dessert; the waiter generously took both off our bill as it was my birthday! A delightful, relaxing meal. Will definitely be back!

Awesome location, view & food. Waiters are friendly and accommodating and sat us without a reservation, though it was a Sunday..food portions were big and filling ..definitely recommended and would be back..bit of a challenge to find and a steep climb..... but worth it

Smaller, cozy full of character Bar area and the whole place is filled with bottles. 5 tables outside but for me inside was much more interesting. I ordered a Verdejo and my Server brought out a complimentary tomato Tapa and Salami. Tomatoes were super fresh and slightly salted-delicious! Everything on the menu looked good! I ordered the Sturgeon, Foie Gras and White Sausage. The Sturgeon was exquisite with the tomatoes and peppers pairing perfectly! Should have taken the big order. Foie Gras and white sausage (mild) were simple, tasty and didn't disappoint. My Server was friendly and worked to bring out the dishes as they were ready given my time crunch. To their credit, the service was the "best" (most attentive, by US standards) of almost anywhere we've been in Spain so far. That said, the food was average and at least partially frozen-reheated. The cod and oxtail were both cooked pretty well, but didn't come out entirely hot. I'm pretty sure the roast potatoes with most dishes were frozen/reheated since they were a bit sqiushy, and so were the green peas and such. Bread came automatically but was commercial and nothing special. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't especially great either.

The weight staff was impressive, recognizing new arrivals in the crowded quickly getting us drinks, taking care of everything after a couple of beers, we got a table. (Note that the restaurant is on both sides of the pedestrian street! ) Our waiter was cheerful and amusing. Although we mostly spoke Spanish, his English was quite good in the din of the small room. Better was the food . A really pleasant surprise. A major plus is the atmosphere which feels really authentically Spanish with a largely local crowd that night. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
