Free tapa that came with my beer!
    Stephanie S.

Kitschy bar decorated in religioso! Not sure how the décor originated and I would've asked if bartender spoke English. I must stress though that communication wasn't a problem. I just ordered a cana here and it came with a cute quail egg tapa with some kettle chips. It wasn't busy at all during my visit. There seemed to be a laid-back family vibe. Place is either run by a father/son or uncle/nephew type deal. I would've indulged more if my stomach permitted! Most, if not all, my bar experiences in Granada were pretty good, especially due to the free tapas!!!

Cyndy's Bottom Line: Fun place & great vibe! We stopped in for a drink and enjoyed the vibe. Bizarre and crazy in a good way. There are pictures posted like wall paper of Jesus all over the place. You will be drinking with Jesus. The owner is a friendly free spirit. Great tapas and drinks.

I don't think a review of this place can even begin to do the tapas justice. The bar is directly across from the more famous Los Diamantes but I'd argue that the food is just as good. We took lunch relatively early (1:30) but we were still accommodated. We stayed for only three tapas, which was more than enough for the both of us. We tried a quail egg and potato hash tapa which was bonkers awesome, some kind of lomo dish on toast with some of the best olives I've ever eaten, and lastly some sort of omelette. The latter was my least favorite of the three, it tasted heavily of vinegar, but I still ate most of it. After about two cañas I tried a Vino de Verano (red wine and lemonade) which seemed to be fairly popular with the locals, and was just as refreshing as I'd hoped it would be. This particular tapas bar was super tiny, don't expect to stop in and easily find space if it's busy. Also don't be in a big rush because there was only one person operating both the kitchen and the drinks. The religious theme was pretty fun to see, and the walls were completely covered with Jesus/cross memorabilia along with a countdown to Holy Week.

A tiny bar covered from floor to ceiling with small playing card size religious images. It's unlike any bar I've ever seen. The fish pancakes with a homemade aioli served with a drink were incredibly delicious. I love this place and would come here all the time if I lived nearby. It's a one man shop and the owner is friendly and unassuming. A must-stop on a tapas bar crawl.

We got here early but the barman was around and let us eat even though he hadn't even gotten the chairs out yet. We started with tomatoes (delicious, spiced a little differently than other places in Granada with more Italian herbs...but went very well with bread) and snails (served in a hot tomato based sauce...delicious) and sangria. Excellent value for the food and bebidas. This street is full of good tapas, but the atmosphere in this place sets it apart. Jesus stared down at our snails with envy. Very cool place, definitely in my top 3 for Granada!

We enjoyed our visit here. Anthony Bourdain visited this bar and we knew we had to try it. Ok it is a little weird with all the Mary pictures but the old man that serves you is so adorable you forget about the weirdness. This was the largest glass of white wine I received during our tapas stroll. I could barely finish it...but of course I did. We were served a open face sausage sandwich that was so incredibly delicious and almost ordered another one. Do stop by even if for 1 drink you will not be disappointed.

This little bar nestled away is a great tapas spot. Gets real busy, particularly at night, but is ideal during the day when it's easier to get a seat or space at the bar! We had 3 rounds of drinks here with the tapas getting progressively more tasty - quail egg on bread, a burger topped with sauce then some kind of marinated pork - all delicious! The barman working was great, would thoroughly recommend stopping in here for a few drinks when in Granada!

Cheap vino, good tapas... Interesting bar. I can't say I have *ever* been to a location who has top to bottom religious decor. We saw this location on Parts Unknown and had to stop in. Staff was very friendly, visitors were very happy-- but that's also just how people are in Granada, amazing and lively. This is definitely a place to at least stop in and check out. Soak it up, take it in, enjoy a drink, or two, or three.

Small but effective in Granada :) Mucho delicious

2 young amigos making miracles in only 15 square meters. :) Delicious and unique tapas with each beer and hopitable service although no-english :)

Just signed up with yelp to leave a review...7 euro for the mushrooms seems like a lot but it's not. GET IT...best ever. Quail egg tapa a nice touch too

Great food & atmosphere! Loved the caracoles (snails) and jamon Parma. The free tapas - quail egg & tomato on toast were excellent!

Small place with great food.and very interesting decor. We went here because of Anthony Bourdain, you order a drink and a tapa comes with we didn't stay that long though because it was hot and found it strange to drink with all of Jesus and Mary pictures staring at us.

Super lively place to come eat tapas! They are all made on a grill similar to street food, and it is delicious and warm and yummy!!! The waiter and cook are super fun singing and dancing, the music is loud and from Semana Santa, and the locals are nice and actually held a half Spanish half English conversation with us! I will definitely come back here next time I visit!!

Smaller, cozy full of character Bar area and the whole place is filled with bottles. 5 tables outside but for me inside was much more interesting. I ordered a Verdejo and my Server brought out a complimentary tomato Tapa and Salami. Tomatoes were super fresh and slightly salted-delicious! Everything on the menu looked good! I ordered the Sturgeon, Foie Gras and White Sausage. The Sturgeon was exquisite with the tomatoes and peppers pairing perfectly! Should have taken the big order. Foie Gras and white sausage (mild) were simple, tasty and didn't disappoint. My Server was friendly and worked to bring out the dishes as they were ready given my time crunch. Dudes behind the bar were all right, and they played decent music and took requests from the customers, but I sit down and proceed to meet the most "Cara de perra" Spanish woman that I spoke to the entire time I had been in Spain. Truly unpleasant. I try to make some chit chat - trust me that I was not interested in this woman in the least bit, but thought I could at least converse with her - you never know if someone might be interesting but literally anything I say is met with immediate eye-rolling. She's all pissed if I can't hear every word she says, even though I don't really care, and she's hardly as interesting as she thinks she is. She was some tour guide in the Albaicin she tells me and busts a gasket because I thought she said she worked at the Alhambra or something. I mean, I was keeping it nice and civil and non political or controversial. Trying to talk about traveling, food, the usual banter when you meet someone. Anyway, she was such a jerk that when she went to smoke a cigarette, I had to immediately pay my tab and GTFO before she came back. It's really not the bar's fault, but y'all should try to keep that woman out of your place. She completely killed the vibe! Ha! I left and wished I had stopped at the EDM dance bar just down the street on the right instead. If you want a nice pub with a better vibe, go to POE a few streets further down. The owner there was way more interesting and they actually have some dope tapas!
