Absolutely delicious place for tapas in Granada!…read more They brought us olives with our drinks, and we enjoyed the jamon iberico, the croquetas, some steak (we ordered the grilled pork shoulder, but the beef was delicious!). We did not have reservations, but we were there early-ish (8:30PM) on a Monday, so it wasn't a problem.

Smaller, cozy full of character Bar area and the whole place is filled with bottles. 5 tables outside but for me inside was much more interesting. I ordered a Verdejo and my Server brought out a complimentary tomato Tapa and Salami. Tomatoes were super fresh and slightly salted-delicious! Everything on the menu looked good! I ordered the Sturgeon, Foie Gras and White Sausage. The Sturgeon was exquisite with the tomatoes and peppers pairing perfectly! Should have taken the big order. Foie Gras and white sausage (mild) were simple, tasty and didn't disappoint. My Server was friendly and worked to bring out the dishes as they were ready given my time crunch. About an 8 minute walk from the city center and well worth it. Make the stop for some high quality/reasonably priced Tapas and Wine in a unique space.

Such a lovely bar with free tapas!…read more My friend and I stopped by Saturday night around 10:30 and it was packed. There's only one outdoor table; the rest of the seating is inside, so depends on your luck whether you can snag a spot. Luckily for us, there was one empty table inside. I got a glass of white wine for 3.70€ and my friend had a small beer for 2.60€. With each of our wine orders, you can order a small dish from the menu. It was nice having the option to choose, since most of the other bars I went to didn't give you a choice. The menu has a good selection of meat, seafood, and vegetarian options. I was already full at this point from bar/tapas hopping, but my friend got the chicken in spicy Thai sauce and really enjoyed it. Would recommend to anyone looking for something different for their bar/tapas hopping experience in Granada!

The food was absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for while visiting Granada. One of the best parts is that every drink comes with a free tapa, which is an amazing value and a great way to try different local dishes. Everything we tasted was excellent. What really made our visit special, though, was the owner, Nacho. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. His hospitality turned a great meal into a memorable experience. We left completely satisfied and would highly recommend Los Diamantes to anyone visiting Granada. Great food, generous portions, wonderful service, and a true local atmosphere. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town!

We were intrigued because the decor was very interesting. You will be drinking with Jesus, plan your conversations accordingly haha
Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned…read more At El Tabernaculo you can experience religious remorse and sinful gluttony all at the same time. The walls of this tapas bar in Granada are covered from ceiling to floor in an awesomely gaudy display of photos of Semana Santa (Holy Week in Spain) and religious trinkets. A heavy aroma of incense lingers in the air. Anthony Bourdain describes this bar on an episode of Parts Unknown, "As best as I understand an Easter-Jesus-and-Mary-themed drinking establishment, where between drinks one can ponder the agony of the Christ. But with sausages!" There was only one other couple at the bar during our visit. The couple, locals from Granada, didn't speak much English, but the husband was kind enough to point out a few of the trinkets in the bar and explain their meaning. The bartender didn't appear to speak English either so the only words we exchanged were "tres vinos roja por favor", "gracias", "de nada", and "uno mas por favor". We received the traditional plate of free tapas with each glass of "Jesus juice" that we ordered. I'm not sure exactly what some of the items were on the plate, but everything was delicious and freshly cooked on the griddle behind the bar by the bartender. Our first tapas was a piece of ham that was heated on the griddle and served over bread with mayonnaise. The "open face sandwich" was served with kettle chips. When we ordered a second round of wine we received some sort of delicious, hot and garlicky spread over crusty bread and a side of olives. This tapas bar is a must-see if you are visiting Granada!

The downsides - they don't really speak English, the menu is Spanish only, and it's crowded and standing room only type of bar - so it's hard to get the attention of the bartenders if you don't speak Spanish or don't know how to navigate a Spanish tapas bar. The food was ok in terms of quality, nothing super delicious but not bad either. Just average. But the value was phenomenal. The free tapas options that come w your drink(s) are a saucy rice & meat dish w bread or a mushroom dish with bread. The mushrooms looked canned (ew) so we went with the rice/meat/veggies dish which was pretty good.
Standing at the end of the bar gives you a great view of the game, what people are ordering, and an easy way to ask for more food!

I didn't try anything crazy because I got pretty full quickly. They give you a new tapa every time you order a drink. That's something I miss the most about Granada!! Service was alright. They weren't paying much attention to me and I was left waiting a lot. I sat outside. Their hours aren't accurate so keep that in mind. Minus 2 stars for service and the dishes were heavy on salt. As an American, that isn't something I normally complain about but it was excessive and smothered in Olive oil. It's all about preference. My favorite was probably the camarones fritos! They were baby shrimps and had amazing crunch. Tinto was spectacular. I'd probably come back to try other dishes but it was a staple in Granada.
