If you're interested in car detail but didn't know what you need, go ask the stuff in 5 point detail. They're professional and extremely helpful. I would like say thanks to Cody (if I spell his name right) and other guys. For the job done, I will give 9 out of 10 for the clear bra job. The customized cutting is phenomenal. There're some bubbles on the rocker panel and I believe will go away very soon. Another 8 out of 10 for the paint correction. One star for its bait and switch tactics on their warranty. After a year of getting the Ceramic Pro Silver Package, Lucas, a manager from here called me saying I need to come in for my yearly "inspection" or else my 5 year warranty wouldn't be valid. That's what Lucas said. Good wording on their part, but I inquired further and this "inspection" was basically a detail. After asking for the price, he said the "inspection" was $190. This was when I said it like it was. I felt betrayed and deceived and no where did it mention some yearly required detail to keep my warranty valid. Lucas immediately proposed that this inspection would be free, and when the next year came around I would be aware of it and pay for it. I mulled it over for a few days and ultimately decided to leave a bad review due to how unethical this was. I have a large collection of cars and have referred countless friends to this place. I'm sure I'll find another place not as scummy as this when I buy my next car, and I'll be sure to spread the word. Bonus If you're worried about your car in their hands, you should. I recently purchase a used but in great condition Honda 2001 S2000. Its been garaged its entire life and only had minor imperfections. Having brought 4 previous cars to 5 Point Auto Spa to get window tinting and Ceramic Pro coating, I wanted to get some extra protection for this vehicle. In talking with Jessica the Sales Manager, some things were pointed out very quickly. There were some orange peeling and swirling in parts of the car and wasn't a simple clean and apply Ceramic Pro coating. I've never had a bad experience with this company other then scheduling within their busy schedule. What Jessica suggested was a wet sand and apply the their new combo protection on most of the car of vinyl film and Ceramic Pro on top of it. Although this was more expensive, I felt it was worth the investment. When I picked up the car, it was truly amazing. I included the during and after pictures in this review. Like my other cars, I use a power washer with no soap and then dry. The car looks like it has a wax and detail finish every time. There were some small bubble spots here and there but I its very difficult to notice. I also got IR tinting on the windows and nothing but quality install. I had doubts about the IR tinting previously but after researching youtube and having it now, for me it makes a major difference in decreasing heat and UV in the car. I'm very impressed and happy with the results. 5 Point Spa continues to earn my trust and my business. No installer is perfect but for me, 5 Point Spa comes as close to perfect based on my personal experience. Hope this helps with your decision. P.S. I noticed in some of the reviews of other customers describing challenges with warranty, washing their car, and yearly inspection. I don't know what kind of sales experience they went through but 5 Point Spa staff have always been up front and transparent about the need for the yearly inspection, what the costs for those inspections, and after care by the customer after getting the Ceramic Pro coating. I own a black Tesla Model 3 and I was skeptical about the ceramic coating but I'm even more skeptical that I'll be able to keep my sanity maintaining a black car so I went for it. Once the car was done I noticed it looked "blacker" but I didn't have much to compare it to. Since that time I've seen other black Teslas full of swirl marks, dull looking paint, or both. In fact, I've seen several non-black new cars that don't look as good as mine. The final test was washing my car which I waited a bit to do per their instructions. It took about 15 minutes to spray, delay, and wipe away. It was extremely easy and the car looks as good as when I had it coated which is better than when I bought it. I plan to keep the coating for the 5 year warranty and have 5 point wrap it after that. read more

I was very happy with the quality of the installation of the PPF and ceramic coating. Great Job! Jessica was also amazing and seemed to care a lot about her customers. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with the manager over a trivial request. I had asked if they could install a small decal on my car while they are installing everything else. They said yes but when I got the car back it was not installed. I asked the manager about it and he said they would install it for me but I need to bring it back. Then he proceeded to yell in the waiting room, "We don't install F**** decals", which left me confused. He just said he would install it and why is he yelling? He could have told me that there had been a mistake and they don't do decals and I would have gone on my way. Instead, I made an appointment and waited two weeks and the morning of the appointment I got a call saying that he is not going to install it, which is fine but why did he say he was and why did they make me wait two weeks? I feel that you need to trust the word of your installers and if they don't stand by what they say for little things, how can I trust they are going to take care of you when you have a real problem? After dropping almost 5k there, I don't appreciate being treated like a child. read more

I just leased a new 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe sport ultimate, it's black and it needs to be maintained frequently. As it was being worked on I got a call and was told that my car had a little accident while taking it out of the garage. They were completely transparent and apologetic, which I appreciated. As it was cosmetic they had a plan to fix the situation and make it looked like new. The car looked great when I finally picket it up. I have used 5 Point Auto (5PA) on two vehicles and been impressed both times. The first time was last year on a 2004 Mazda 6s. I was going to be selling it within a year or so at the time, so I decided to pony up and give it a really good detail to bring back some shine and that's when I found 5PA on Yelp and chose them because of all of the 5 star ratings. I was not disappointed! I opted for the mobile service since it seemed the most convenient (note, there's a minimum service threshold for mobile service, I want to say $85 off the top of my head). The car came out looking beautiful to put it simply. Even the cup holders were sparkling, haha. Props. Second time takes the cake though. I finally sold the Mazda in April and got a loaded 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited Turbo, my new baby! The dealer offered a service called "Finishing Touch" which of course had all kinds of extraordinary claims like I would never have to wax the exterior or treat my leather interior again and it was like $700 or something crazy like that. I didn't opt for it since that's typically just dealer fluff & pure profit, but I have to admit I was intrigued by the prospect. So off to Google I went looking for similar service/product and that's how I learned about Opti-Coat. I read several reviews and testimonials from actual detailers and while the product is fairly new (so "lifetime" longevity can't be truly commented on), but early returns indicated that the product is the real deal. I began looking for someone in San Diego who was authorized to apply the product and that's where I saw that 5PA actually had the product. They also have a Scotch Guard protectant for leather as well. So I shot Adam and e-mail asking about both services and he gave me a quote back within 24 hours. I called him a couple of days later to ask some questions about the product and the process. Adam spoke highly of the Opti-Coat and with regards to the Scotch Guard, he said some other joints will make claims about that protection being lifetime (like the dealer did!), but he was straight up said that's not realistic, but it's something that should be considered in your regular detailing. So I took the car in on a Saturday right around when they open at 10. They pretty much do the full exterior detail prior to applying the Opti-Coat because you need your paint to be as flawless as possible because any imperfections would get sealed underneath the coating, so they quoted me about 4 hours for the job even though it was a new car and shouldn't have much in the way of contaminants/imperfections. So that's the sweet part of them being at the mall. I took my girlfriend with and we watched an early movie, had lunch, visited Target and a couple of stores and next thing you know Adam's calling me at 1:30 saying my car is good to go. Once again it looked beautiful (not that it needed much work since it was like 2.5 weeks old at the time). I can't comment on how the Opti-Coat performs yet, but I'm hopeful it's everything that it claims to be. This next part is where companies like 5PA really stand out. About a week and a half after I got the Opti-Coat I was checking out the car after our recent rains and I noticed that there was a freakin' hair underneath the rear bumper applique (the vinyl sticker they put underneath the trunk so you don't jack up your paint loading & unloading). I am a bit OCD when it comes to that sort of thing, so that is a whole other story of dealing with the dealership, but at the end of the day I got that applique replaced with a new one to my satisfaction. I let Adam know what had happened and he told me that when it was taken care of to come back and they would apply the Opti-Coat to the new applique (because it goes on all your exterior hard plastics as well) for no charge. Now that's service. I went ahead and got an exterior touchup as well and made sure to tip nice :-D Sorry this was really long, but I know there are others like me who are a bit anal when it comes to their things, so I really wanted to give credit where credit is due. Adam is a straight up guy, you can tell that he cares about his customers and wants to make sure they're completely happy with the service. Even when I was searching the discussion forum for the Opti-Coat manufacturer I saw some posts from Adam on there asking about the product and one thread where he even tried out the product on his own car before even offering the service to customers to make sure it was legit. What more can you say about that? You can get a cheaper detail elsewhere, but if you care about quality service and supporting great folks, go to 5 Point Auto. read more

This review is very much overdue. I have been coming here since I got my new Cadillac in January, 2015. I have truly found the best place in San Diego to get a great wash and detail. All of the guys treat my Cadillac like it was their own. They are very detail oriented which is great since I want my baby to look perfect. I got a coating with a "lifetime warranty" only to find out less than a year later that it doesn't cover damage from regular washing, and it's only meant to protect against sun damage. Sun takes more than a decade to damage car paint. People don't usually keep their cars for 10-20 years. The whole reason I got the coating was that they told me I would never have to wax my car again. Also, you are required to come in every year and pay them $200 for upkeep, which I only found out today. This whole thing was a scam. read more

Just got a brand new black Audi A6 and had Adam's crew apply OptiCoat to help maintain it's factory shine and glossy appearance. I'm too busy to take my car in every other week to get detailed so I figured this was the best option to allow me to keep it looking as good as possible when I wash it on my own. Street parked my vehicle in West Hollywood, woke up the next day to a hard water spots in my car everywhere. I was livid. I drove back to San Diego Sunday night for Monday work, dropped the car at 5 point auto spa Monday afternoon, and got my car exactly 7 days later. Prior to all this, I have spoken to Jessica and discussed the options and ways to remove the spots and subsequently, protect the paint. I went with what they told me was recommended without a blink of an eye, because it sucks to see the vehicle in the state it was. As far as protecting the paint goes, I originally approved the clearbra/PPF to be applied to the whole vehicle. Due to the change in my circumstances, such as selling my vehicle ASAP to get into my dream car, I opted instead to go for ceramic coat. From the initial inspection prior to picking up the car, it just looked amazing. I was shown an area in the trunk with one of those low powered pen-like flashlight and it looked amazing and clean of spots, or so I thought. I later found out that the trunk was one of the area that was heavily worked on, hence the almost perfect trunk. I left with the car and felt great knowing that I am not driving a car that was covered with spots. As I parked my car for the night, in a fully lit garage, it looked like some of the the spots were still there, but not as visible as before. I can't justify sitting around and doing nothing when I paid thousands for it. I called up the shop the next day, and explained what I saw. Jessica told me to bring my car back to the shop and Steve will take a look at it. Brought back my car, and the car was looked at by Steve. He felt like they could have done more, and explained to me that the ceramic coat might be the culprit, as it brings out the gloss, makes the color stand out and rich, which in turn made the spots visible. They advised me to give it 7 days, andcome back next Monday to determine the scope of the spots. Overall, had a fantastic experience from a great team, ESPECIALLY Jessica and Steve. They are the two individuals I worked with throughout the process, and they were nothing short of amazing, very caring and understandable. Credit where credit is due. Thank you Jessica and Steve. Despite the shortfalls, I am confident with 5/5 star because without them, my car wouldn't be worked on diligently, and I believe they will resolve my concerns without breaking sweat. read more

Dave and his team at Ceramic Pro provided great service. His team recently applied PPF to the front end of my Tesla and it turned out great. Dave was in communication with me throughout the entire process. I travel alot for work and that means constant highway driving. The front of the vehicle still looks brand new, the PPF is doing its job. They did such a great job, I returned and also had them tint the windows of my vehicle with ceramic tint.
