DONT TRUST THEM THEY DO NOT HONOR WHAT THEY SAY OR WHAT IS ON THE RECEIPT. I had my sunroof and back lights tinted. The tint has been peeling off of the back lights and I remembered when I went in, I was told I would have a lifetime warranty, as i had initially went in just for a sunroof tint. When I called a week ago to discuss the lifetime warranty, I was told that it was a mistake and they could not re-tint my back lights. The woman tried telling me they could not guarantee that because of rain ec. I advised that was not what I was told and my receipt says lifetime as they upsold me. I needed a window tint last minute and Cali Tint pulled through! I had recommendations from 3 others so I decided to go with Cali Tint vs other shops. I opted for the ceramic tint instead of the non-ceramic ($100 difference). The difference is noticeable in terms of heat retention. My car feels cooler when entering which is great--especially since my car is black and has leather accents. I also have a rear dash cam that they were able to remove and re-install during the tinting process. I opted for 20% tint on the rear. If you have a rear dash cam, I recommend trying out the tint before committing. Just ask for a sample. Came in for my appointment at 11 am and they finished before 1 pm. My only suggestion is to have maybe a bell nearby near the reception area as it was a little confusing trying to hunt down someone to help me at first. read more

Few months after this review I brought in my fiancés car for tinting. I was a little surprised to find the price go up for the same tint but regardless we got the car tinted because Peter's service won us over again. Fast forward to just a few weeks ago. I'm shopping around to get my own car tinted. I reach out to Cali Tint and a few neighboring places. I find that Cali Tint is again on the higher priced side but figured I know their quality control and went with them. Sadly, the same love & care was not put into my car. Amazing team at Cali Tint. I shopped around at few shops around San Diego and went with Cali Tint due to their response time and break down of everything that I requested. My requests: 1. Window tint. 7 windows as well as windshield tint (legal). 2. Black powder coated wheels with ceramic coating. 3. Blue hand painted brake calipers. 4. Satin metallic grey wrap. 5. Full ceramic coating on wrap. 6. Chrome delete. As soon as I drove to the shop, Peter greeted me with a welcoming attitude. We looked at different levels of window tints, then looked through various colors of 3M vinyl wrap colors. Super exciting! That's when Yudith chimed in and showed me breath-taking satin metallic grey wrap she did on a Jeep. I was sold immediately in the color. Next steps were compiling the cost with Peter and I paid Yudith. What I truly enjoyed about the Cali Tint team was their transparency. At each milestone they provided me an update with either pictures or a short video. I received pictures of tint completion, wheel and caliper completion, chrome delete completion, then vinyl wrap process from beginning to end. That was impressive to see the car evolve from pearl white to a beast! The total amount of time for everything was just 12 days. I did request some small modifications to the car after I received it back. One in specific was hand painted Tesla emblem to match my blue calipers. Those requests were completed in 1 day. Absolutely amazing. Out of about 7 businesses I contacted, Cali Tint was the only one that offered mobile tinting. They did not extremely jack up their prices for the service either, as they were comparable to the other ones I contacted for quotes. Sure beats my last experience with another car where I sat in a waiting room for two. Now, for the question you're all asking. "Can women tint?" YES!! Throughout my years of engaging with various businesses, I have never experienced service as disappointing as the one I received at Cali Tint. As a long-time resident of this area and a person of integrity, I am compelled to share my experience to help others make informed decisions. I am not attempting to harm anyone's livelihood unjustly, but I believe it's essential to share my honest experience. Here are just a few of the scams I experienced at their hands. The following are all true. I hold true to my word, hence i am the opposite of Cali tint. 1. Ihad to visit another shop to fix the majority of the work completed at Cali Tint. Please see the attached photos of their electrical work. 2. They put a new meaning to late. One ex) car was supposed to be ready between 6 and 7 pm. However, I received a call from the manager, Peter, around midnight to pick up the car. When I arrived at 12:30 am, the car was still not ready. 3. Peter promised to diagnose and fix my fog lights ("I gotchu dawg, i gonna take care of that for you"-exact words) the initial reason for my visit. Although my car was kept overnight, the fog lights were not fixed. He texted me at midnight to pick it up!! When i arrived, the car was no were near ready. All i heard was talking, very little working... 4. When i picked up my car, it was STILL not done. The next day Peter sent a worker who arrived at my house at 10 pm!! much later than the scheduled 1 pm appointment, and left close to midnight. He charged me $200 (cash only) for the house visit!! In total, I was robbed $1000 for their services. 5. When I contacted Peter (on his cell phone) to discuss the situation, he claimed the business was sold, and all employees were gone. I found this response unsatisfactory and difficult to believe. I would also like to note that I did not receive a receipt despite asking for one, and they only accepted payment through Zelle. Although Peter offered to provide additional services, I no longer had confidence in their work. I cannot trust them with my vehicle again. I wouldn't trust then to clean up after my dog let alone my vehicle. Please see the attached photos of the work completed on my car, which includes exposed wires and other issues. however, in the end, this is not about me and frankly, it's not even about them. Picking out the correct tint can be tricky, especially if some of your windows have tint in the glass like my rear windows did. Make sure you spend the time to ensure the front windows, for example, will match the rear windows if that's important to you. He showed up and his workers had no idea what they were doing. They did terrible work- he then left, and demanded another $450 as pre-payment to come and fix the job a few days later. I recently purchased a new car and was looking for a shop to tint the windows. I messaged a few shops via Yelp projects and Cali Tint was the 1st to respond. We messaged a few more times to answer all my questions. They responded quickly each time. They use ceramic tints from Johnson Window Films and have shading from 5% to 70%. When I decided to go with them, it was on a Wednesday morning and I asked for their availability for Friday morning. The time didn't work for me so I asked if they had any time on Wednesday afternoon. I didn't expect that they would be able to accommodate me on such short notice but it doesn't hurt to ask, right? They had a 3pm spot open so took it. Once I got there, they walked me through the different shades they offered and walked out to my car to put pieces of tint of different shades against my window so I know exactly how it would look like. That made the decision to select shades easier. They told me that it would take about 2 hours to complete but it was definitely shorter, maybe 1.5 hours at most.
