Has always been one of our favorite places to hang out. Normally, the food is consistently good-great bar food - always loved the shrimp basket and the fried chicken. Dropped in for music and dinner on Sunday evening - music was great, drinks and French fries were fine, but the hamburgers (cheese burger and sante fe burger) were overdone and virtually tasteless. Sat outside at the bar on a beautiful Sunday evening. A friend and I were treated to live music, friendly waitresses and a talkative crowd. The bar has plenty of options for tap beers (15+) dark, fruity, light, etc. We both ordered the Sunday special- chicken dinner, enough food for 2 meals and yummy! Real mashed potatoes/ gravy/ corn/ cole slaw/ a roll and 4 pieces of fresh fried chicken. My bill for a beer and chicken dinner came to less than $15.00. The only drawback about sitting at the bar was that most of the people smoked. A better choice would have been to sit at one of the side tables with umbrellas to avoid the smoke. At the back of the outside bar area are multiple corn hole games to play while listening to music and enjoying a beer. This place is a definite - "I shall return!" location. In warmer weather, if you're looking for a great outdoor atmosphere and very casual dinner/drinks...this is an ideal location. The outdoor patio features plenty of shaded seating, cornhole games, a fire pit with ample seating, and a volleyball court. The night my friends and I were there, the Century had live music as well. The food was standard "homecooking"/bar food. I ordered a tenderloin and fries - (excellent tenderloin), and my friends ordered burgers that they said were "cooked perfectly." You can actually play Keno at the bar, which is kind of fun. On the night we were there, the Keno machine that prints your tickets wasn't working, so we had to ask the bartender for help. She wasn't very friendly and really not pleasant...however, an older lady who is a staple at the colonial (Betty) made up for the bartender. All in all...great experience, good food! read more

I must say I have been coming to CI since I was 8, I have never ever had a bad experience there. The food is always good and service good. Love the staff, had a new server a few days ago she did her best I mean everyone was new once right? HOWEVER, the social distance thing!! OMG! They had the mask around their neck, everyone was too close they had windows open the fans blasting!! You could infect 50 people just having the fans on. My table was wiped with a bar towel and no spray disenfectant! I'm so angry at my monthly stops ownership. We are headed towards another shutdown and this is an example why. I think I have finally found my new neighborhood spot! First off, I love the old feel of the atmosphere. And I don't mean old like people old, I mean, you can tell that this place really has history! In fact they tell the whole story on the back of the menu, seriously, read it! This place has a little bit of everything, chicken, burgers, pasta, appetizers, cold and warm sides, and even mashed potatoes! The burgers are just ok in my opinion. It seemed a little bland, and lacking in the burger itself, but I've been eating Gas Light burgers for awhile though too. The chicken wrap is really good, as well as the chicken quesadilla app. It's seriously enough for a meal. The fries are good with a nice seasoning, and the coleslaw is a slight amount, a little drier and a little oniony but not bad. This place has plenty of room. It's looks are deceiving. The one side of the restaurant stretches a good length. There's tvs on near the fireplace and bar to catch a game, and the back dining room has nice big round tables for larger parties. What really stands out here? The deck. And its not just a little tiny porch, no. its all out extra bar and seating deck. And even better? The lawn (yes lawn, its that big I'm calling it that!) Is all nice and set up with concrete blocks for cornhole in the summer. And again, not just one or 2 sets... No, at least 6.... They have 99 CENT margaritas on Weds, $1.50 Bud and Bud Light drafts on Mondays, and karaoke on Thurs and I believe Sat? It's a great bar and restaurant, even if it is a little tricky to get in and out of the parking lot, being on the corner of rt 4 and 741. read more

A coworker knows I like local places so I took her there for her birthday. Great place. Great fried chicken. It was packed for lunch. The service was a bit slow but we sat in the bar area and usually the bartenders try to keep up with the bar and the tables and sometimes service suffers. Anyway I still strongly recommend this place. Not quite a dive bar but not fancy. There are separate dining areas and a bar with table tops in the bar area. We went on Friday to have a beer and a relaxing dinner on the porch. Whoa! Not a place I'll go back to during the quarantine. The tables had little signs on them that stated the table had been sanitized but the table where we sat was obviously wet and dirty. Then I watched a server "clean" off a table - all she did was take away the dirty dishes, no sanitation, before she put the sign on. Then there was the person who did clean off our table who reached over me with no mask on. And the worker who stood right behind me talking with no mask on. Well, there is a sign that says some employees don't wear masks for "health reasons" and if you don't like it, come back after Covid. Huh? I ate here for the first time, for dinner with a group of 23 women. It was a nice evening, and we had made reservations for outside seating, and we were happy to be seated outside but under a roof (there was a chance of rain). I was surprised how large this place was, and the outside area had several sections with different "themes", one had a waterfall. The restroom was inside, so I peeked at the dining area and it looked nice, and had a several different rooms. We had to walk around the building outside (so if raining we'd get wet) to get to the inside restrooms. The best thing, in my opinion, was the excellent friendly service by our waitress Amanda. She brought the drink refills coming, served all the food at the same time, and gave us separate checks very efficiently. When there was an issue with one of the food orders (not her fault), she had the kitchen correct it in a timely manner. 5 stars to her! The food was OK to good, depending on who ordered what. I appreciated having the veggie burger, and it was OK (needed more flavor) but it was overwhelmed by the bun and seemed a little dry. Perhaps having a tomato slice on it would have helped. 3 stars. read more

Very pleased with this little historic restaurant. Plenty of woodwork makes it feel a little on the homey side and the food was very good . I ordered the barbecue chicken and my wife ordered the fried chicken. Both came with mashed potatoes, cole slaw and another side chosen from a limited amount of choices. It also came with a roll. Food was hot and delicious, service was good but the food took a bit to get out to us. They have a popcorn machine to keep you busy snacking while you wait so it wasn't a problem. Just okay. The building was really cool, I enjoyed the historical touch. For food I got the chicken wings which tasted really strange. I asked the people I was with and we all agreed something was up with the chicken wings. I think they had too much vinegar, but could be wrong. Service was fine, nothing above and beyond. Never going back. A group of 6 of us ordered and sat and waited for our food over an hour. When we asked when our order was coming we were told that it wasn't coming out because they had no cook. Couldn't believe that we sat there for over an hour and our crabby waitress didn't even inform us. The wait staff has really declined as this is not our first time having lousy service. read more

Whenever I'm near Tri-County, I like to stop in. It's a friendly neighborhood home-cooking type place. I've tried several different sandwiches and entrees here and everything is decent. However, the Fried Chicken (with or without BBQ sauce) Prime Rib and Pot Roast are the rock stars on the menu. The portions are large and the taste will make you want to finish. Not only are the portions huge, so is the restaurant itself. There are two bars and they do different specials and events daily. They even have corn hole and volleyball outside. If you're sitting in the bar area, they have a help-yourself popcorn machine to snack on during the game or before your meal. The staff has always been pleasant and conversational when I've been in as well. One more thing, if you have enough space in your belly, they have a blackberry cobbler you should definitely treat yourself to. read more

Worst experience ever! We usually eat at Fosters in green hills which is amazing. I don't usually have mondays off and wanted a chicken salad sandwich. We have passed century inn several times, so we decided to see what it's all about. First of all, it took them over 10 mins to come to the table to take our order, I ordered a cup of chili as well, that was good. The chicken tasted old, I asked for wheat I got white bread. I asked if they put lettuce and tomato on the sandwich. She acted like the sandwich was premade and they would have to take it apart....um what?? It took over 20 mins to throw a cold sandwich together. I work in the restaurant business so if they would have been busy I would be more understanding. But nobody was in there.... my drink was never refilled. I'm never coming back and I'm telling everyone I know how disgusting that place is. Fosters all the way baby! read more

This place is trash. Service is terrible, scary almost.. bad attitude. It was weird.. Food is no better, bland . Then to top it off, 5 minutes after we order (at 5pm mind you.. not like this was 9:00) this band starts playing and they are so effin loud that we can no longer have a conversation. We had just come from a brewery tour at Rivertown Bewery and were looking for a place "out of our comfort zone". It turned out to be a great decision! I ordered the Santa Fe Burger. I'm a huge fan of anything with a kick! I ordered straight off the menu and wasn't dissapointed. The relish they put on the burger was fantastic! Since the place had a down home feel I felt obligated to get dessert, the Brownie Sundae of course! It came out and was everything I wanted and more. I ordered water and ate 1 BBQ wing, small bits of chips with cheese and chill, and a slice of quesadilla. I must confess, 30 minutes after eating...I felt like shit. This place USED to be a lot of fun. Along came a new owner and you know how that goes... They had Karaoke on Saturday nights with Ben and that was the best part about this little bar. Unfortunately that wasn't profitable for them, so they canceled that which I still think was a huge mistake. The food is sub par, the drinks can be cheap depending on what you get. The live music is equivalent to upbeat elevator music. It almost makes you feel like your out of place if you're not rocking a cane or walker. The employees are decent. There's only one reason Century Inn isn't getting a 5th star from me, and it's probably not their fault. The first (and so far only) time that I've been to this location we ordered right behind a large group, and it took a really, really, really long time to get even our appetizers, and our waitress was a bit slow getting us drink refills. That said, OMG. The food is fantastic. We tried the ranch chicken pizza skins, and they blew me away. Killer appetizer, and I will be ordering it again, and again, and again. The night we were there fish and chips were the special, and I had to try them out. Slight addiction. Outstanding. I've had better, but not by much, and not at very many other places. The portion size was outstanding, and they were perfectly prepared. Now, you might stop your meal there. I wouldn't recommend it though. They have a blackberry cobbler that will leave you drooling hours later. My wife told me about it, and I couldn't believe that she was raving about the cobbler months later. Well, my mistake. It's easily one of the best desserts I've had at any restaurant, anywhere. We definitely enjoyed the restaurant, and my wife is here on and off with business associates. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck, but I was a little put off at the noise level. I'm not sure how the interior noise level is, but I hope it's a little better. However, sitting out on the deck in nice weather is a great way to spend a meal or an evening. read more

This is the 2nd time in a row that we have had atrocious service. We like to go after playing tennis on a nice day once a week- but will not be going anymore. It took over 30 minutes to get our first beer. And that is when we finally got to order our food. Another 30 minutes to get our food! Wait staff was not friendly- almost making us feel bad for asking for menus. I also got charged for someone else's onion rings. I couldn't even complain to the manager- I waited over 10 minutes at the bar for the manager to come out of the kitchen before finally going back to my table. This after my last experience a month or so ago. Even worse. We had 8 of us. Two people left before we even got to order. It's too bad. It is a great place to sit on a nice day and the food is pretty good. Prices not great but music is nice to listen to. Hire more wait staff- And train them!!! read more

Century Inn offers decent food with a southern style to the menu. Seating outside is the way to go, as the inside is very dark and bar-like. The staff is very nice and do quite a good job with service. Cornhole sets out back enhance the outdoor summer experience if that's something you're into. Overall it's not a particularly special place to eat, but if you want to get a burger and sit outside in the Glendale area in summer it's a good choice. I've only been here on Thursday nights so if you are looking for a review about food then this is not the review to read. That being said, if you want to experience Ohio and really meet some townies this place is IT! Every Thursday night is karaoke night and let me tell you, from the 5 times I have been, the crowd is a bunch of regulars. The beer is cold, the music is unique (due to the varying levels of skill of the singers) and the bathrooms are clean! Win, kind of win, win respectively. Came here last week with my dad for lunch, we walked in and sat ourselves and a server came over and greeted us and took the drink order and also let us know about the specials. I had heard Century Inn advertise with Eddie and Tracy on 700 WLW before about the ultimate BLT, so I decided on that while my dad was in the mood for chicken wings. After about 15 minutes our food came out and the BLT was huge, it also had hard boiled egg and american cheese and of course mayo. Everything was just OK, nothing stands out about Century Inn other than the menus need to be cleaned and the decor needs to be updated. read more

The Century Inn is not what it used to be. I stopped in to pick up a sandwich to go. I had a beer while waiting. Stella. The beer was flat and the glass had a weird smell. The bartender was wearing a mask but the owner, the cooks and others were not. Also...the musty smell inside the restraunt is a definite turn off...as well as the restroom. This place has potential but the owners are to cheap to remodel the inside and outside seating area. I mean folding chairs to sit on outside?? I grew up just down the street in Wyoming and I know a lot if alum patronage this place when they are in town. When I got home I threw my food away. I doubt I will ever return.
