This review is for the Greenwood office re my realtor Cheryl L Sider. At first, I was very impressed with her knowledge and help. Unfortunately, the house I purchased need a lot more work than she expressed to me. The inspector missed so many crucial points like my van fitting inside the garage door. He knew several window were needing replace due to seals broken over time and completely overlooked this issue. Also, missed that my fan was running non-stop on the electric furnace due to a bad relay. The humidifier wasn't working either. New HVAC & Humidifier cost 17,000+, new garage door and header, $7,000. New windows, $13,000 & front door, $9,000. Also, Nations Title, whom, Cheryl recommended didn't follow through with the recording of the deed. It took them 3 times to get it to the correct office, first, which is the auditors office. And no one would return my calls from the title company. I asked her for help which she did, but wasn't happy re the issue. I felt after the sale was completed she was gone and I was left standing with whom, do I turn to. Being a former realtor in northern IN and knowing real estate law that she didn't abide by fiduciary duties. This is very important. I also feel that she didn't have my best interest at heart and she doesn't know the neighborhoods where I live or proximity to towns that I wanted to be close to. Also, I wanted to be able to put money into the property and sell it with at least some return on the investment. She didn't listen to my needs nor concerns. It has appeared after every issue that she finds an easy way out not to get involved. I may need to sell my house in the future and it appears that I will be forced to stay where I am since I have lost money in this venture. It is very important that you purchase a home in the best location and where the property value will continue to increase. I expressed this to her many times, but she completely ignored my requests on many issues. Another example, she knew I wanted to put a fence on my property with no issues. Unfortunately, I have a neighbor who doesn't like my fence and wants it moved. I called her for advise. She assume I wanted her to sell without disclosing the fence issue. That isn't what I wanted. The HOA has approved my fence, but if my neighbor can find just cause it will have to be moved. I asked her if she wanted the listing. Her reply was first yes, than it changed to no and "Good Luck"! What an excuse and where she would be the selling & buyer's agent. I know to abide by real estate laws, but a let down coming from a so called friend and realtor. read more
