When we made the decision to sell our home, we consulted our family and friends for a real estate…read moreagent. The person mentioned was Louise. We could not have been happier with our decision to use Louise's services. In our first contact with Louise via phone call, she was courteous, professional, and focused on our objectives. When Louise followed up with a visit to our home, she was prepared to the point of having a booklet prepared with not only information on how the home selling process would occur, but also had already assessed our home's worth. When pictures were being taken of our home a couple of days later, comments were made to us on well we prepared and presented the house. This would not have been possible without Louise's suggestions. The pictures were then collated and presented not in a simple one-page sheet of information but a beautiful four-page brochure. The website listing was just as impressive in its display. Putting a house on the market in November, at the beginning of the holiday season, could lead to a lengthy waiting period for an offer. However, the results of Louise's work came when we received an offer on our house in less than three days. The offer blew us away, and there was no way we were going to pass on it. After we accepted the offer, Louise continued her proactive manner by contacting us and keeping us informed on each step of the home selling process. Most of the time, she would call or text us before we could even come up with questions to ask her. When we did have a question, she answered them promptly, thoroughly, and in language that was easy to understand. Having explained the closing meeting procedures to us ahead of time, Louise made the day an easy, stress free affair. She has followed up with us subsequently to see she could help us with anything else. This included information about the area in which we purchased our new home. We know that the market is full of real estate agents. We also know, however, how blessed we were to be able to have Louise sell our home. The world would be a much better place if it were populated with people like Louise. Without any reservations, we will highly recommend her to any of our family or friends who are in the market to buy or sell a home. Tom and Jennifer K.

We were told, "Another applicant came through, so we'll let you know," and were passed over. Two weeks after that, we were contacted and asked if we were still interested. We said yes, and only then were told there was "missing rental verification" (even though we had already supplied that to Kevin directly, and he confirmed receipt) and that we needed to reapply and pay new application fees--$75 per applicant plus $25 for ESA verification--even though charging duplicate application fees appears to violate Illinois HB 4926. We reapplied anyway because we didn't want to lose the house. Communication was slow, inconsistent, and updates only came after repeatedly contacting the office. The owner of the property requested a double security deposit, which we agreed to, and then we received written confirmation from Kevin that our offer was accepted. That same day, Brett Kendrick told us, "Another applicant came through, so we'll let you know." After nearly a month of delays, shifting terms, repeated reopenings of the process, and additional fees, we withdrew and requested a refund, which was denied. Beyond the financial impact, this process cost us significant time and emotional distress. As a rental property owner myself, this was the most unprofessional exchange I've had. Renters should be aware that even if you apply, and qualify, and are approved, nothing is final.

We literally sat with our phones and started googling real estate agents, we called a few but most of them were either busy or we just never heard from them. We were just passing through and noticed the big Remax MiCasa logo and we decided to call the number. The receptionist referred us to Alejandra Muñoz, we spoke to her briefly and we immediately had a showing scheduled for the following day. Alejandra is also a person that communicates with you with everything that is happening. The whole process of buying a home is quite challenging but Alejandra really went all out to make sure we had the house we wanted. Once our offer got accepted, we had to wait for the fun part of having the loan go through and unfortunately for us that was not happening because of the loan officer we were working with. We were just waiting on the appraisal and the loan to go through, but our loan officer wasn't responding to our messages. Once he did the answers, he provided were not conclusive. The listing agent was already considering putting the house back on market because the lack of response from our loan officer. Even through all that stress and panic mode, we were lucky enough that Alejandra referred us to another loan officer, Sergio Soto whom works with Caliber Home Loans but stays within Remax Micasa. Sergio was another exceptional guy, we were already two-three weeks in just waiting on the loan and appraisal to get through, but Sergio made everything possible and completed it within days! (speedy fast). If it wasn't for Sergio's talent, we would've lost our earnest money, inspection fee and most importantly the house wouldn't have been ours. In the end everything brighten up for us, we got the home and are almost a month in from the closing date! Working with Alejandra was one of our best decisions we ever made. We both are very pleased that we were just passing through that day and notice the big logo.
