Not sure if I just got this company on an off moment (but reading some of the reviews, I think not) Centurion was assigned to me by my Home Warranty Company. They at first responded very quickly via text (which I don't have a problem with unless you do not follow up). I asked for a 30-minute heads up so I could make it there, I did not receive that text/call, in fact I called and the person texting would not answer (ever, for me or the warranty comp.) I texted them to let them know that my tenants would let them in since I was not notified in time to get there. They would need let me know what is going on as my tenants are not able to make decisions on the matter. I again texted saying I could be there in 30 minutes but got a very quick text back that said what they had already found out and was going to get approval. This was Feb. 11th of 2020, I texted them later that day for an update and was told it could take a day or two. Said it was very straight forward kind of issue. I thanked them and asked what made them think it was this and was told it was complicated to explain (yes via text I would agree, by phone no, I think I would have gotten an idea, in person I would have completely understood, but was not given the opportunity for that). I had not heard anything in a few days, so I texted asking for an update, I was told "let me call the locator to see when they have us on the schedule. On February 17th I again called for an update. I had called the warranty company to make sure this was all covered or if it was not and that was holding up the process I would have offered to just pay as it has now been a little of a week that my tenants had no hot water. I was told by the person texting that there are only two (2) in the whole valley that do this service. Their words not mine, "you could probably call back and request a different contractor that may do their own locating but what you gain in time you will lose in experience. I've been doing this for 30 years in this type of work is my specialty." Then went on to talk about being able to get most if not all the work covered. I was very polite and said I understood, but I have clients that have now gone two (2) weeks without hot water. I was told not to worry. I thanked them again. Fast forward to February 25th, I texted again just checking in, called (no answer), asking if they had heard anything (at this point it has gone on way to long). No response, I called my warranty company, they told me I had to give it until the following week. I did, I called again, nothing, I called the warranty company again and they again said I had to give them and additional 24 hours. I am as you can tell very upset at this point, because if it were me, I would have refused to pay my rent. Thankfully I am very luck with these tenants, but this is just unfair to keep them without hot water. I called back and finally was able to get this out of the hands of Centurion and with a different company. This was on March 5th, they came out as soon as they could and did the test, the guy who did the test capped the pipe that was leaking and now the tenants have hot water. This took a total of 3 Days for the new company to take care of.
If I am ever asked if I would recommend this plumbing company the answer is NO WAY! They made my tenants wait nearly a month during the coldest part of the year without hot water.
On a side note, so I don't seem like someone who does not care about my tenants, I made sure they had a place to go shower and clean up. I also paid for a few extras to make sure they did not feel like I was a deadbeat landlord.
Shame on you Centurion for having an over inflated ego that you think you are the best there is and saying there are only 2 locators in the valley. If this was you, your wife, mother, child etc. you would not have made them wait that long.
If I could give negative stars I would. read more
