Over the course of a 1.5 week project, I would hear the crew chatting with each other and it seemed like they enjoy working together too. I reached out to about 10 contractors for quotes and Juan's bid was in the mid-range. From the first walk-through, he was knowledgable and asked questions to help me understand what my options are. Unlike some others, he was never pushy and that made me feel more comfortable about working together going forward. He estimated that the entire project (leveling the backyard, building a short wall, French drain, and adding gravel) would take 2 weeks and they finished ahead of schedule. I am so happy to finally have a usable, outdoor space! If I ever want to do more with the hill, I will use KB Landscape for sure.

The crew installed all the plants, decomposed granite, and irrigation perfectly. Our architect also commented that she really liked the crew and that Juan in particular was very knowledgeable. Not to mention Juan is just a really nice guy and was open to the small changes we had to make as we were doing installation. In total it took three weeks to complete the entire project. His crew was great and Juan also works with them, he doesn't just only project manage. He was here all day nearly every day with the crew. It's a small company but they do great work, pay attention to detail like grading, and clean up after themselves every day. They did such a good job, after he finished we asked him to help redo a fence later as well and also continue to come biweekly to maintain the yard.

Hard workers, they got the job done in four days. I have used other paver companies in the past so I knew what I was looking for. Their pricing was very straightforward, with no surprises and extremely reasonable. Kim and David have great ideas and know what they're doing. We had quite a few areas of yard that were overgrown with weeds - they needed to be cleaned up and replaced with weed barrier and mulch. Then we had a large area in the backyard that needed pavers where we will be installing a cedar shed. You can see from the Before and After pictures what a transformation it has been! What won me over with Turf World was: 1. Jason's transparency about the process with sending me his You Tube videos (the job went exactly as promised); 2. The turf itself was the best (was the closest replica to grass, the Catalina Pro was not the softest turf I sampled but was the sturdiest and prettiest and stood up the best like grass, and even my 6 year old daughter saw that it was the most realistic looking of 13 samples); 3) his communication, always prompt and complete, and 4) his price was the best. After researching this for 2 months, I went with Turf World and I am thrilled with the result. My advice? Go around and look at installations. Watch videos. I did and after a ton of consideration I went with Turf Word and I am a 100% happy and satisfied customer, And I'm not an easy target. I had been buying some rocks from some local garden shops and they were way more expensive, and I didn't really need fancy polished rocks I wanted more raw rocks. You drive in and can load your car first and then pay or get a trolly to pull things around. Staff outside were helpful as things were all over the place. When you leave you go through a gate and they check your trunk to confirm what you bought. I needed a bunch of rocks for my garden and I got a lot and will go back for more.

Our 2 doggies are very happy with the yard and also, it makes cleaning up after them easier for us. Things I love about Jeff and Chris: 1. They are small business owners so they take care of everything from the beginning to the end. By cutting out the overhead costs, they saved us so much money and also, being able to work closely with us on the design and finish product. We got quotes from 5 different companies and Jeff's quote was on the lower end and he provided very valuable feedbacks from the design point of view. He's a talented artist who really loves what he does. Chris is a golf player so together, they designed and delivered the most stunning and player friendly putting greens. 2. There are many artificial grass companies out there but no one can beat Jeff and Chris when it comes putting greens and the round edges of the lawn. We got rid of all of the ugly plastic borders which need replacement with time. 3. Jeff and Chris and their crew were extremely respectful of our home and our pets during the long and hot installation process. We trusted them completely and after a while, it felt like having family members working on our home. 4. They put a lot of time and effort on building a very solid ground before putting the grass on. Our home is next to an empty lot and a creek and therefore, moles and gophers are frequent (unwanted) guests. But with a very solid ground, our yard still looks the exact same a year before: stunning and resort-like. 5. Jeff is an old-school gentleman: said what he meant and meant what he said and it's very nice to be able to find someone like that these days.... 6.
