That was the best thing that could of happened. I called Linda and she quickly jumped into go mode and assured me my wife would be in excellent hands. We were still a little miffed after the other situation so I decided to go with my wife to Eureka. Linda picked us up and was extremely helpful and friendly on the drive to Eureka . When we got there her staff quickly made my wife extremely comfortable and got her all set up . I was impressed by her Linda and staff and knew I could come back home in LA and my wife would be in excellent hands . Luis Linda's husband drove me to the border and we had a great conversation . My wife had to be driven to her dr on several occasions and they took great care of that. Linda staff is well trained and true nurses/caregivers . Priscilla and Yadira are both her nurses and they are both helpful and have the patients well being as their number one priority. Make no mistake not only is Eureka a great facility it's a 1st class medical recovery Guesthouse. Thank you Linda and Luis for taking great care of Nancy . She can't stop talking about how great you guys all were . I highly recommend Eureka to anyone that wants 1st class service and the best care ever. Her place is so peaceful with a gorgeous few of the Ocean & Coronado . U can see the Dolphins right out the balcony . Foods great Her presentations she makes you feel so special . I was impressed with all the little extras like organic soap (made locally), luxurious shower with two different heads, reverse osmosis drinking water, free wi-fi and cable. It was also nice to get to do my laundry there (another freebie) while sitting in the hammock under an amazingly fragrant trumpet tree. It felt good to know that the owner of this property cares enough about the environment to install solar panels on this property. When was the last time you noticed solar panels on the local Marriott? The location to this place was so conveniently located to Balboa Park as well as South and North Park my girlfriend and I usually just rode our bikes. I wanted something different; no Marriott or stuffy hotel, so I went onto vrbo.com (Vacation Rentals By Owner) and immediately fell in love with The Brighton Beach Bungalows. The reservation process was very easy; email exchange followed by a phone call, and working with Laurie and Ian was incredibly easy. They are a lovely married couple who own the two rental homes, appropriately named the "Sun" and "Surf" bungalows. Upon arrival, we were excited to see that we were about a block off of Ocean Beach, had our own garage (which is very necessary on the busy block), there were 5 or 6 cruisers for us to ride around on, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, a beach blanket... and even a shower outside in the yard area. Once inside, the same attention to detail carried all through the house. Wifi, two TV's, every type of dish or cooking item you could ever need, ample towels, a plush, comfortable couch and incredibly comfortable bed. Everything we needed was right there for us. Even on last minute booking, the bungalows are perfectly reasonable cost wise, and the ability to cook and entertain without having to eat out every meal was fabulous. This was the perfect place to stay, and I will never stay anywhere else in San Diego again!!

He communicated very well sending all necessary info prior to arrival. I was delighted to find we were in walking distance to the famous K-38 surf break and also local places to eat. Native Residence is at the top of a mountain, in a private gated community with lovely homes, so if you plan to walk, it's safe but know it's quite a hike. The views of the mountains, Pacific and Rosarito's Christ of the Sacred Heart statue are beautiful. Fortunately, Ubers are available if you don't have your own vehicle. The chalet is classy, has high quality materials, yet it was very comfortable. The lights were thoughtfully decorated and very tasteful. The scent of the bed linens were absolutely incredible. Our room offered fresh water, a small fridge, an espresso machine, a smart tv with projector, black out blinds and a private fire pit on our balcony. The three chalets have their own shared jacuzzi to use with ocean view and it was heavenly. They offer fresh breakfast à la cart on the upper shared patio or in your room. It has a very quaint community feel there yet you have your own space if you prefer it. Carlos and the ladies working there were very kind and helpful. I'm happy we stayed here and hope to return again in the future!

Honestly, the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The property is even more beautiful in person than in the photos, with a peaceful atmosphere that made it the perfect anniversary getaway. The host and co-host were incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating. Knowing we were celebrating our anniversary and hoping for an amazing ocean view, they graciously upgraded us to the Miel Master Suite at no additional charge. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and the ocean views were absolutely breathtaking. The suite itself was immaculate, beautifully designed, and the bed was so comfortable. I honestly can't remember the last time I slept that well! We also loved the shared kitchen, which created such a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was a highlight each morning with the chilaquiles and lavender pancakes were absolutely delicious, and having a nespresso machine in the room was the perfect added touch. We truly can't say enough great things about Native Residence. We loved our stay so much that while we were still there, our close friends booked the exact same suite for their anniversary next month! We already know they're going to love it just as much as we did.

It's a comfortable, quaint one-bedroom cabin with a great front porch and back deck, complete with barbecue. The landscaping is lovely, with herbs growing all around and irises everywhere, for a very natural, woodsy, comfortable feel. There are outdoor swings (not kids' swingsets) and a great hammock. Bed is very comfy. Great writer's desk with fun books on writing. LIving room couches could use a little updating -- one tends to slope toward the front and the other toward the back, but they aren't uncomfortable. Very clean. Kitchen appointed with the things you need if you're going to make your own food (hint: bring your food with you. Closest decent grocery is 22 miles away). Located about 3 minutes from town, it's perfect for quiet and privacy but still with quick access to town. Nicely stocked video/dvd library available at the Butterfield for your use. Ed and Dawn, the innkeepers, are super nice and friendly but unobtrusive -- exactly what you want in an innkeeper. Maybe priced a tad on the high side for no housekeeping services but we loved it and would return.
