    There were a lot of mixed reviews about Hotel Jatay, so we weren't sure what to expect. My wife and…read moreI only needed a place to stay for one night, and overall, we had a decent experience. The front desk staff and employees were welcoming and friendly. The room was small, but for the price we paid, it was good enough for a short stay. It wasn't the cleanest hotel I've stayed at, but it definitely wasn't the dirtiest either. One thing we really liked was the location. There are plenty of good seafood spots nearby, and my wife and I enjoyed walking around, grabbing food, and exploring the area by the beach. Just keep in mind that this is a busy tourist area right by the beach. There are a lot of people, music can be playing late into the night, and the area can get pretty rowdy. If you're looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing, this might not be the place for you. For us, though, we just needed somewhere affordable for one night, and Hotel Jatay did the job. Overall, a decent stay for the price and location.

    The sheets were dirty. They had some that looked like blood on them. No iron, blow dryer or coffee…read morepot. I called 3 times for new sheets and towels and no one brought any. They neglected to give us any utensils with room service. I had to call over and over again for toilet paper and they still hadn't brought any when we checked out. The only thing I like was the Bloody Marys that Gabriel made in the upstairs bar. They were amazing.
