Great place atmosphere to enjoy beer, would recommend this place to anyone that enjoys good beer.

Love stopping in here on the way home. Good people, Great Beer! Typically you'll find about 10 beers on tap, and the new tap room has a handful of tables both inside and out in addition to the bar seating. if you catch a nice friday in the summer you can enjoy some great beer outside and a taco from a local food truck that seems to always be by on friday nights. If you don't know Central Waters beer, I'd say try everything if you can as they do beer very well, but are known for their Bourbon Barrel beers my favorite of which is the Cherry Stout or BB Barley Wine. When the tap room first opened they were cash only (I learned this the hard way once) but since then they've added both an onsite ATM as well as Credit Card processing. read more

The brewery was excellent. You can do flights or glasses etc. We unfortunately missed the tours. They do it at 5 pm on Friday or 3 pm on Sat. They also have live music in late afternoon. You can sit inside or outside. The only negative is they have no food. You can buy popcorn or peanuts tho but that's no food. On our way out, we saw a mobile food truck. So I wish I had seen that sooner. We might have stayed longer. read more

Enjoyed some beers on a Friday night and some live music. We brought our own snacks and enjoyed a good selection from their menu. I like that they offer full and half size portion pours. You can also buy 4/6 packs, bombers, crowler, or fill a growler while you are there. read more

The wife and I went there. Could not have gotten worse service. It took half an hour while sitting at the bar for the server to come to us. She took our order and didn't come back for another ten minutes. We just left. We like your beer. Your servers suck. Never going back. read more

A no-frills warehouse style brewery. There's an okay selection of beers, and the beers themselves are...okay. The beer flight looked like it would be fun to try. I'm not sure if I'll be back here though, too many other breweries to try around town to limit myself! read more

FINALLY got to go on a tour on saturday, and we loved it! here's why: 1. bourbon barrel barleywine. need i say more? 2. their tanks are named after characters from the big lebowski. really. 3. these people are serious about sustainability, which is super cool. 4. chaz was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. go here if you're ever in the area. if not, buy their beer whenever you can. you won't be disappointed! read more

Love this place! Been enjoying their delicious beverages for years, finally made it to the taproom last week. Beautiful space, FANTASTIC beers that are only available on-site, and a very interesting, informative, and fun FREE tour of the brewery. BUY IT. Not only do they have a great product but it is sustainably made and the company is ran by a bunch of great people. Available many places in Milwaukee (Whole Foods has a good variety), I would suggest the Shine On, it is a Red but is much lighter and less bitter than many I have tried. Delicious. read more

Andy is the best tour guide! He is incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of the brewery and beer and also adds great humor to the tour! Andy's wife is also a stellar bartender and made our whole experience at Central Waters over the top! And best of all they have the BEST beer and are conscious of their impact on the environment! Fine facility. Great staff. I just don't think the beers were that good. I guess the barrel aged stuff is supposed to be their specialty, and I tried a couple, but they didn't do anything for me (to the point of not finishing tasters)... perhaps if bottled and aged further they would hit the mark. Their stout was way too sweet. The IPA totally forgettable, as were pretty much all the beers I had. Maybe I just wasn't feeling it that day, but despite the great BA scores, I can't recommend them as their are just way too many upper midwest brewers that are far superior IMO. The brewpub is very nice, considering that you're IN the room with the tanks! Lots on draft, and its hands down the most informative brewery tour I have ever had! It would be a full 5 stars if there was only a food menu. read more

Really cool place - great beer. They have tables and a bar inside, but definitely not family-friendly, so we just picked up some beer to bring home. They have a patio outside that might work for a quick family stop in the warm weather. No food available. read more

I have been too many other breweries (chicago area and Surly) and this place stacks up with the bug boys. Their Bourbon Barrel Stout needs to be tried to believe how good it holds up. Very happy with selection they have a few on the menu that sound great (the specialty Imperials) and people are very friendly and knowledgeable! read more

We traveled there from the Milwaukee area on a one day road trip last weekend. We heard about the Maple Bourbon Stout or whatever it was that was a limited release so we thought we'd just drive up and check it out. The place is cool and the beer was good but directions, signage and organization was sorely lacking. We definitely would have spent more time there had we known what to do. There was basically a bunch of people just standing around but there was a lack of seating (there was a large room with tables in it but no one knew whether or not we could sit in there). There was no food when we first got there (the food truck should have been set up a hour before the start). There were like, three t-shirts on a rack for sale (there should have been a full display of t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and other gear, we DEFINITELY would have bought some). There were about 25 beer lists for literally a couple hundred people that showed up. And they were confusing. There was like a regular beer list, a specialty list and a premium list or something like that all on separate sheets. It was not clear what beers were available or if they all were available. There should have been hundreds of beer lists, on one page, that you can take with you if you'd like. Our "beer-tender" did not know anything about their beer and could not answer any questions about their beer. I suspect she was just a fill-in for the event. But shouldn't there be knowledgeable people staffing one of your premier events of the year??? Also, the bar right in front of the door is in a poor location. At this event the people lined up at this bar blocked the entrance/exit and made that area more congested than it had to be. Like I said, we would have stayed longer and spent a lot more money if it was better organized. read more

This place makes okay beer but I was just at their 15th anniversary party and it was horrible!! They had "vip's" that were given extra allotments (more than 3 times what everyone else got) and when confronted on their facebook they just deleted the posts. Please do not support this brewery until they fix their many problems. read more

The summer before last, I had the chance to sample some of this breweries fare. Folks, they make a Belgian Blonde Ale that is absolutely delicious, and it will also kick your butt if you're not careful. Absolutely great! read more
