Parents! READ THIS POST! (Please)…read more As my daughter has been growing up, I have always had the slight "fear" that she needs to be in a, not good, but GREAT school. I do believe that Elementary schools do shape who they will become. This is when their minds are still wanting to absorb information and this is when they are still free-spirited. When I was looking into moving, I was trying very had to find a school nearby. My moving was dedicated to a great school district. I came across an apartment complex and found out about this school in their district. Of course, I did my research on the school before I settled on my lease. After reading about studies and reviews on this school, I gave it a chance. Boy, I could NOT be any HAPPIER. She is enrolled in Kindergarten and the transition mid-year for her was GREAT. When I had toured the school and expressed my concerned that she was transferring schools mid-year, they did take everything into account. When she attended her first week, she LOVED it. Her teacher is VERY attentive to all of her students as well as the parents (this is usually not likely). I was able to contact her teacher with any concern(s) I had via email or phone and she was VERY prompt in her response(s). Each child in the classroom was so well-rounded, as in they were go kind to each other. You were able to tell that they were well disciplined at school in order to come home and implement the same mind-set taught to them. The office staff there in the administration part was not too friendly. When I came in, I get it that I was there at 7am when they opened, but that doesn't excuse their behavior towards me. I had the reaction of "oh goodness" from the staff. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since it was really early. When I came in for several other visits, they did treat me with more respect, acknowledging that they had remembered me (*phew). Now that I have gained my "want" in the office, I realized that the school truly does care. This post could be because I'm still a Noobie to the whole parenting idea, and having my child involved in schools, but this school is truly GREAT. I'm a young mom, and I see the potential in this school to mold my daughter to be a great person.

The only reason I was able to get out in two years because my parents were persistent they wanted to keep me for another seven years before I could leave but that means another seven years of torment pain and suffering. Mr. Rampson was my teacher in the bis staff were very sweet but only if you manipulated them like I did I was only able to do that so I didn't get my head beaten in like the other kids they put us in chokeholds the forces to watch cartoons even though we really were begging to leave some kids got far almost to the mall to call the police or something but they came out and tackled them bring them back to the place and when we begged to go home we could only go home if we threw up with it was a fever I was lucky enough to know how to pull my uvula in force throw up because that's how I left every time I could. The person who found that place is burning in hell and rightfully so every person who is there is terrible. My therapist was rude and mean and you drag kids down the halls bettering each other scraping the last pieces on the floor they could before getting dragged into a session of BIS and when we tried and begged to leave they would just hit us. If you work there I hope you know how much pain and suffering you cause. I now have PTSD because of how much time I spent there and I made this Account so I can expose the lies they made no matter how many " reviews that are pure and happy" exist there are nonekids are almost kept because their parents are too dumb to take them out but if we have that hope and try we can destroy the lies they have an expose this place for the monstrous death circle of hell it is. My daughter has grown so much, and has been so cared for along the way. There are so many hands-on learning stations for the kids to learn and explore. During the year, they've been able to learn through kinetic sand, water table, large and small motor activities, reading, writing, games, and so much more. They had a firefighter visit to teach them about fire safety, a librarian visit their school to foster their appreciation for books and reading, and they also learned about caterpillars turning into butterflies by witnessing it firsthand. I feel a school is only as good as its teachers and staff, and the teachers at Village are true gems - so warm, nurturing, and knowledgeable. They all have been at the school for many years, and they make learning so fun and age appropriate. The director of the school is also superb; a very organized woman whose door is always open and is willing to answer any questions I've had throughout the year. She does a wonderful job communicating with parents through newsletters and notes about upcoming events at the school. We are always greeted with smiles by the whole staff. You can tell they all want to be there and love what they do, not just one day but everyday. There is also a great weekly music class that the kids attend, and there are 2 music performances that the kids put on for their families. This is a great way for the kids to become comfortable in front of large groups. I highly recommend Village Preschool to everyone I meet since we've had such a positive experience there. Instead of protecting a child who was clearly struggling, the school allowed the behavior to continue and left him to cope with it on his own. What is most concerning is that while our son suffered the consequences of this bullying, the students involved continued to receive recognition and rewards, with no visible accountability for their actions. A school's first responsibility is to provide a safe and supportive environment for its students. In our experience, this school failed to meet that responsibility.

His room leads worked with him regularly on the exercises and activities recommended by his many, many therapists to help him make progress, which was over and above what I expected. I also appreciated the "extra" fun events (like pajama day) and curriculum-focused schedule. Once it was time to enroll her somewhere, I kept taking issue with aspects of other day care centers and in-home places. My neighbor has lived in this community for over 25 years so I asked her for help. She suggested MPCCC and added, "they are not new, but they are great." She was totally right, they're great. The building itself isn't new or shiny like a modern one, but it's clean, there is TONS to do, and the staff is caring and nurturing. I believe all of the staff are either attending school for their childhood education degrees or they have a degree already. There are senior staff there who have been in this business for decades. They do tons of inventive activities with the toddlers for sensory play, music and dance, group circle games, and crafts crafts crafts. The outdoor play space may not look like much but it's enough to keep even the older kids excited and busy. The teachers have a large treasure trove of art supplies somewhere and they do endless projects relating to holidays, seasons, cultures, etc. There was a holiday concert where each class sang a few songs with the help of a music instructor. Fire department guests have visited, as well as the Northwestern University football team. My daughter loves her teachers and looks forward to being dropped off each day -- it has become her second home. I look forward to her starting preschool here next year and enrolling my infant son.

We have built long-lasting friendships that have survived different elementary schools and activities due to the tight bond the children built while at AMT. The same teachers that welcomed our oldest child when we first started so many years ago are the same teachers that are seeing our youngest child off to kindergarten at the end of this year. The consistency of staffing and lack of turnover are truly unique and it is one of the primary factors that led us to AMT in the first place (and we have not been disappointed!). There will be many tears shed by multiple members of our family when our last child graduates and we move on from this phenomenal, nurturing, home-away-from-home that has been so instrumental in the development of who our children have become. We are eternally grateful for the incredible staff and administration at AMT who have made the lives of these two working parents so much easier and less stressful knowing our children are in the most capable and loving care while away from us.

Despite Jessica B. thinking that she is psychic…read moreand KNOWS that the other reviews are fake, I can assure you that I do NOT work at Kindercare, nor was I asked to leave a review. My son attended there for two months at the end of 2020 in the toddler room. The teachers and directors are absolutely amazing. They have an app to get constant updates and photos/videos and they all have been very accommodating to certain needs I had in order to support the work being done with my son's speech therapist and nutritionist. They also take Covid-19 very seriously. They don't allow anyone but the children inside the building(pickup/drop off is done on the porch), teachers and students over two always wears masks(and parents have to wear masks at pickup/drop off), they take the temp of the children and parents at drop off, and every day when I would pick up my son I could see teachers/aids through the window in the door cleaning/sanitizing toys. Also, the few times they did have a potential threat they closed the school for a week, longer in the rooms where the threat occurred, and had professional sanitizing done in the entire facility. Yes, it was a pain to go without childcare for a week or two but we didn't have to pay for that time and I personally think it is worth it for the safety of my family. However, in December my son was suddenly diagnosed with a cancerous tumor. In fact, it was the detailed reports from Kindercare about my son's urine output and behavior change that helped us determine something was wrong and led to the discovery that he has a tumor in his bladder. Being non-verbal at almost two we may not have discovered it as soon without their thorough attentiveness and feedback. Needless to say this was a very emotional and stressful time for our family and the angel of a director started a meal train, as well as working with the staff and families to put together a giant gift basket of toys and snacks for my son. The outpouring of support from the staff and the other families(who didn't even know us) has been absolutely overwhelming, in the best way possible. Just writing this brings tears to my eyes. We had only been with them for a few months, but we were already a part of the family. They held our spot, at no charge, and now that we have a grasp on handling his cancer treatments, we will be returning later this month. They are letting him return to the toddler room, even though he has since turned 2, because it's familiar and he's a bit out of sorts right now from everything he's going through. They will wait to move him to the 2 year old room until he gets comfortable being back. In the short time my son was there last year his language and social development increased DRAMATICALLY. He's still non-verbal, but before we had to take a leave of absence he was so close to talking I could taste it!!!! I can't wait to get him back there as soon as possible. To say they are amazing is an understatement!
