As a student, I can attest that I received a world class education. Beyond that, the athletics and extra-curricular activities that are offered there not only enhance the in-class experience but can give you opportunities that can be more valuable than what you learn in the classroom. As an employee and coach, I can tell you that the teachers and staff are some of the most caring and dedicated professionals that I have ever worked with. The school works hard everyday to live up to the high standards that they have set for themselves. There is a reason that John Hersey High School is consistently ranked as one of the best high schools in Illinois and the United States. I highly recommend John Hersey High School!

They were quickly becoming more confident, happier and their academics took off in a way that I had never imagined was possible. When I ask myself, what is the difference? The answer is the community and staff. The staff actually love our kids and love their jobs, they all know my kids by name and are extremely in tune with their needs. Everyone from the top down makes you feel like you are family. The principal has been with the school for 20 years and the way that she leads the staff is so impressive. It is just a very special place. My kids often thank me for switching them to East Lake. When I ask why - their answers say it all. I feel that our children are surrounded with love when they walk in the doors. This school is a hidden gem.

Someone told me before we attended the school that the students are like family, and they view each other as siblings and I didn't get it until we started at TOCA. But equally important is the care each teacher gives to each student. These aren't just teachers doing a job. These are educators dedicated to a mission of providing a safe, loving, Christ-centered environment for young minds to grow. What more could you ask for?

My son was head butted so hard he actually fell to the ground. My son stated he was being called "idiot, baby, and dumb", by children much older than him. He now says he "hates school" What adult blames a 5 year old? My child defending himself was made to be the bigger issue. The cherry on top was right before we withdrew him the teacher was asked by my sons medical doctor to fill out a form and give it back to me. The school flat out refused to hand the form back to me. Today, as I picked up my sons belongings I was told that (completely out of retaliation ) they school shredded the document "since he was no longer enrolled" As I am certain you can see, nobody at this school is living by "Catholic Values", do not just run away from this school and parish but marathon sprint away.

As a new parent, it is overwhelming finding the perfect fit for you and your family. My family and I feel very fortunate to have discovered such a wonderful and nurturing school for our kids. When we moved to Highland Park, we had plans to go to a different pre-school in the community. A few people recommended the mom-and-tot program at Lakeside. I called, and after speaking to Paula (the director), I knew that we had to sign up. After a few months of the mom-and-tot class, we decided to continue with camp, and on to the two's (two year olds) transition program. Our love for Lakeside continued to grow as we got to know the teachers, Paula, and the congregation as a whole. It is a wonderful place. The pre-school is very nurturing but also provides a quality education. Lakeside also offers excellent enrichment programs, which is a huge benefit not only to the students but also the parents! The program is set up for your child to succeed. The mom-and-tot program and the transition program make it easy and comfortable for kids not only to adapt well into the pre-school program, but have a healthy separation from their parents. Thank you Lakeside for being such a wonderful, amazing, and special place. I would recommend this pre-school to anybody in the north shore, especially if you live in Highland Park, Deerfield, Glencoe, and Northbrook.

Even though we are not Greek, we've found the most welcoming and inclusive community here--about 20% of the students aren't Greek, and yet everyone is embraced as family. One of the things I've appreciated most, especially when my children were younger, is how naturally they formed relationships with older students. It's a unique environment where kids of all ages interact, and there's a strong culture of mutual respect and kindness across grade levels. Our children take Greek every day and have become impressively fluent--it's amazing to see how confident they are speaking a new language! The class sizes are small, which allows for personalized attention, and the teachers and administrators are truly exceptional--nurturing, dedicated, and highly focused on each child's growth. It's a close-knit community that really supports both students and families. There are plenty of opportunities for involvement, from after-school activities and enriching field trips to school-wide efforts that teach the importance of giving back. Most importantly, the school keeps its focus where it belongs--on strong academics, character development, and traditional values that help shape well-rounded, grounded children. We're so grateful to be part of such a special school!

The misinformation and negativity on these review sites by various reviewers blows my mind…read moresometimes. This is the only daycare my daughter and son have been to in their entire lives. My daughter is 6 and my son is 4. The teachers at this KinderCare have taken care of them since they were about 6-8 weeks old and have done a great job. My kids love going here and look forward to going, and they are always in a good mood when I pick them up. The educational opportunities here are really great. Both my kids went through the phonics program which helped tremendously. They have done the cooking classes, the science classes, the music classes. There are so many. My kids have had a very stable group of teachers to work with at the facility. One thing that is so great is the public school bus at the nearby elementary school picks up and drops off at this KinderCare. Talk about convenient. And it is nice that my daughter rides the same school bus as the rest of the kids. The directors of this center have a tough job dealing with emotional parents and parents that are slow to pay their tuition for which they have to continually follow up with. We visited 4-5 daycare facilities before settling on this one. We also tried a nanny for a month before deciding that wasn't a fit for us. HANDS DOWN we are very happy we chose this KinderCare for our kids. Not all daycare centers are built the same, and this one is special with great people in it that will take good care of your child.
