Shady was very professional and straight forward with me about what was absolutely necessary to fix and what could wait. Just this week I took my car to Firestone to get the tires rotated. I was told by Firestone my rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced at the tune of $700. I was skeptical and called S&M for a quote. They gave me a rough estimate of $450 and told me to bring in the car the next day, because it was likely I didn't need the repair. Sure enough, when I took it to S&M, they said I could wait to replace the rear brakes. I trust S&M and Shady. I will definitely continue to take my car to them.

If you're looking for an honest, highly skilled mechanic, S & M Automotive is outstanding and checks so many boxes! I come down from Ventura to see "Shady", and his name couldn't be more ironic, because there's nothing shady about him or his work. He's been maintaining my 2005 Lexus SC430 and has saved me a boatload of money on repairs and maintenance over the years. He's respectful, friendly, and clearly takes pride in getting things right. My most recent service made the car run like it did when it was new. The engine is humming smoothly again, something I've honestly NEVER experienced after a repair or routine maintenance anywhere else and I've owned this car since 2007. And while the name S & M Automotive might make some people do a double take (hahaha), the only thing painful here is realizing how unnecessary other repair bills can be once you find a mechanic this good and dependable. If you want honest, skilled automotive service, S & M Automotive is absolutely trustworthy and dependable.

When I got to Camarillo my 2004 Honda Pilot was making a noise..... On Monday June 7th, I called TNT Automotive after reading several positive Yelp reviews. I had the good fortune of reaching Todd Harter, the business owner. I explained the situation and he told me to bring my Pilot in THAT DAY. I dropped her off for a diagnostic and heard back from Todd quickly. I needed a new power steering pump and ps fluid exchange. He gave me the quote for the job, I said Yes, please. I then received a call at 2:40pm to let me know the work was complete and I could pick up my Pilot. My friend dropped me off for pick up of my SUV. I paid and was on my way the SAME DAY. I hopped on the 101 to go to Simi a few hours later. My Pilot is back in great running order! It was SO NICE to find a great local mechanic and get a same day repair. THANKS to TODD HARTER, TNT Automotive, and the TNT Crew. I am so pleased and happy to have a Camarillo mechanic as I am blessed to visit often!!!

At the desk, Kristy was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. My service was complete in almost half the initially quoted time, and for a price that beat everyone else in Camarillo. For such a reasonable cost, I surely expected there to be some drawbacks but the team at Adolfo Auto Care genuinely went the extra mile to help me out with some mild extra favors during my service, they were super friendly, did great work and came in at a super reasonable price. I cannot fully express how pleased I am with the team, price, and quality of work - I will absolutely go back to them for any and all service I need and would recommend they be anyone's first call.

I am going camping in a week and needed my truck and figured since I couldn't solve this easily on my own I would take it to a professional. They quoted me $411 for two hours of diagnostic labor. They called me back and told me that they found one of my O2 sensors wasn't giving any readings. This wasn't true because I did a live scan before and after taking it to their shop and was getting o2 readings on all 3 of my sensors. So they essentially lied. They told me that they wanted to charge me another 3 hours ($600) to "keep troubleshooting". I suggested that they replace the O2 wiring and see if that resolves the issue and I would pay the labor hours for that but I was told that was not the "cause" of the misfire. After a roundabout explanation of essentially nothing new or relevant to the misfire they told me "it would be best if I just picked up the truck". They could not give me a straight answer and I was never given the opportunity to speak directly to the tech working on it or the owner. I attached a photo of the bill. The first paragraph is what I told them over the phone. The second paragraph is what they charged me $411 for. They swapped two connectors for the oxygen sensors for $400. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Keep my money, but leave this post up so people know what they're getting themselves into.
