Normally I love their pizza but tonight it was terrible, I ordered a small onion pizza with extra onion, cheese and toasted a little longer than normal.... Thank good I took a peek while he was ringing me up cuz certainly wasn't extra onions or toasted extra. Needless to say I asked him not to charge me for extra onions but I wasn't going to wait around for them to cook it longer, just saying I still love it there but come on it's not that hard to fulfill a pizza order especially with the price they charge!!!! read more

Everyone in Franklin will tell you that Central Pizza is the best in town so we decided to finally give it a try. We ordered a couple of pizza and chicken wings. The chicken wings were the regular frozen kind with breading. It's the typical wings sold at pizza places when they don't carry actual chicken. The pizza were a good size and with a lot of cheese. But Iike the wings , the pizza is made using a pre made crust that are genetically found in many pizza places. It gets 3 stars because it's good for what it is. I think I'm giving up trying to find a pizza place in Franklin that makes their own pizza crusts from scratch and make real buffalo wings. Its a good generic pizza made by great people. The way this place is ran is embarrassing. Beyond disorganized. Each time I order something is messed up. Tonight will be the third and final time here. Will never eat there again, or any other take-out. Ordered pizza there Monday evening, within hours my husband and kids were violently sick all night into Wednesday. Brought them to the ER and they were sick with food poisoning. We normally go to their other location in N. Out of the many pizza options available in Franklin this is generally the option we go with. The pizza is always delivered hot and fresh and very tasty. Good sauce, good toppings, maybe just a little work needs to be done with the crust. The sandwiches for the most part are good as well. Occasionally I'll get a steak and cheese and the bread might be a little burnt and the sandwich dry but it's not a usual occurrence. They are usually quick with their delivery times and I don't think we've ever waited longer than an hour. Nice family run business that I hope is around for a while. read more

We were back in Franklin last week to attend my mother's funeral. Staying at the Hampton Inn, we called out for a pizza delivery from Central. Received the 'Fenway' and it was exceptional. The sausage was delicious and the onions and peppers were very tasty. The crust was baked perfectly, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We were thoroughly pleased by our choice. read more

Not sure what changed at Central, we have been going for years there, and the last few times food quality has gone way down hill, pizza was our main stay and now the last few times the cheese slides all the way to one side, the dough is soggy etc. Also don't bother going on a Friday night, or any other busy time, they can't handle it. We will need to find a new place in Franklin. read more

I havent been to Central pizza in about 10 years. It used to be a good pizza place years ago but started to go downhill. One of the local schools was having a fundraiser by teaming up with Central(the school would get a percentage of sales if you brought in a flyer from the school). I am glad we tried it, it has new owners since the last time I went. The food is basic pizza shop fare with some good specialty pizzas thrown in. We had a chicken, broccoli white pizza with alfredo sauce instead of tomato sauce. I was a homerun!!!! We also tried the basic cheese pizza and that was great also. We will add Central to our rotation of local takeout places. read more

This is probably my favOrite pizza place around. I recently started working in franklin and I've never been a bring your lunch to work guy, and one day I stumbled across this beauty. Everything from pizza to subs to appetizers and dinner plates this place has it all. Incredibly friendly staff and I even got to meet the owner Joe! What Happened To This Place! Everyone used to say this was the place to go in Franklin for take out. I don't know if it has changed hands or they just can't handle the business from Dean, but it has gone down hill. Over the past two months I've ordered I've ordered 4 times here and have had 4 negative experiences. Quality has gone down hill and customer service has disappeared all together. Last Friday I ordered a large cheese pizza with extra cheese and a meatball parm sub for delivery. I was told 30 minutes. A hour later I called back to check on it and was chastised for calling " it just left" I was told she then added " it's Friday night you know and we're busy next time if you don't want to wait for it come in and pick it up!" And then hung up. (Now I realize it gets busy on a Friday night but when I order and YOU tell me it will be 20-30 minutes for delivery, that is what I expect not the hour and forty minutes it actually was!). Fifteen minutes later I called back to cancel. She again told me he just left and asked if I was sure I didn't want it. She then put me on hold for 10 minutes! When she came back on she asked if he was here yet so it was just a ploy to keep me from canceling the order. While I was on the phone with her it finally showed up. I opened up the order, the pizza did not have extra cheese even though she charged me for it and the sub was stone cold. I again called back to complain and was told my card would be credited that night for the sub only as that was how they made their pizza and she couldn't credit me for just the extra cheese. They never did credit me (what a surprise). There are so many pizza places in Franklin but few good ones. I'll never order again from this one instead I'll stick with George's, The Rome or Franklin Pizza and Deli. read more

I called to place an order, and simply asked "what toppings are on you 'works' pizza?" The reply - "everything." I ask again, "what exact toppings are on your 'works' pizza?" The response - "all the meats, and vegetables." That told me everything I needed to know - this place isn't for me.
