We specifically decided to visit the Central Perk café near Times Square based on our daughter's recommendation--she had heard about it and really wanted to see it for herself. From the moment we walked in, we were charmed by the cozy interior, which felt very pleasant and slightly nostalgic. We ordered a cortado and a cappuccino--both were excellently prepared, with well-balanced flavors and beautifully textured foam. It was clear that attention is paid not only to quality but also to presentation. Beyond the coffee itself, what impressed us most was the overall atmosphere. We felt relaxed, comfortable, and truly able to slow down and enjoy the moment. We were also very pleasantly surprised by the staff's approach. A lady sitting next to us accidentally dropped her shopping when her bag tore as she was leaving. The staff immediately stepped in to help and, without any questions, provided her with a new bag. It was a small moment, but it clearly showed their customer-oriented attitude and willingness to help--exactly the kind of detail that turns a regular visit into a memorable experience. It's an ideal place for a short break during a busy day in the city, whether you're looking for great coffee or just a comfortable place to sit and relax. Stopped by yesterday to take some Pics and possibly something to drink. It was pretty crowded for a Thursday around 4pm so we were unable to wait on the line for food/drinks as we had somewhere to be at 5pm but did get to take pics. We will def be back to try drinks I'm in the area often. This location is cute and organized well. Theres a photo op section, seating section, gift shop section and food/drinks section. Love that they have WiFi and menus around so you can figure out your order before getting to the counter. I'll def be back! read more

We visited on a Wednesday evening and were shocked there was virtually no line. I didn't even know this place existed, and I was not disappointed. If you're a Friends fan, this café is absolutely worth a stop. It's very clean, well-organized, and full of fun photo opportunities. The staff was helpful, service was fast, and the menu items have clever Friends-themed names. You can eat, drink, and shop for fun merch all in one place. I only ordered a matcha, but it was really good. While it's definitely a touristy spot with higher prices, it brought me a lot of joy and was well worth the visit. read more

Had to get some coffee from Central Perk while in NYC! Such a cute Friends themed café! I tried the Chandler's Chocolate Cold Foam latte with oatmilk. It was really delicious! They have the standard coffee drinks; lattes, mochas and cold brew. The food menu includes pastries, bagels and sandwiches. I loved all the Friends references in the names of the items, such as the Moist Maker sandwich! You can sit on the orange couch for a photo op and they have some merchandise. We arrived right at opening at 8am and there weren't very many people in line. If you are a fan of the show then this is the place for you. read more

Had to stop by Central Perk while I was in Times Square and I am really glad I did. The line was not too long which was a nice surprise. The vibe is super chill and it is a great spot for a quick photo with a coffee. I grabbed a bagel with their seasonal jam and it was really good. Went to the soft opening. As a millennial it was a dream to be able to go to central perk in New York. It was the first few days of its soft opening so their was obviously a wait and a line. But I would say the line was moving pretty quickly. The drinks took a bit, but that's ok. They are just opening and learning and the atmosphere was a vibe. Lots of photo worthy areas. You have the. Classic orange couch. Their is also a souvenir section to purchase items and lots of places to stand or sit. Coffee was pretty tasty. read more

If you're a fan of Friends, visiting this new permanent Central Perk in NYC is a must. The line outside to get in took about 15 minutes. Once we were inside we went straight to the "Orange Couch" usually has a line just for people waiting to sit and take a picture. As far as merchandise if you see something you like buy it that moment because they did ran out of the lobster mug I wanted and black shirt. I told myself I'll be back later tonight for them and yep they were all gone! There is plenty of seating area to enjoy your coffee and sandwich while listening to great music. I tried Chandlers iced chocolate cold foam latte it was very good and the Central Perk B.E.C was amazing! That pepper jam gave it such a good balance! read more

So I was assigned to write a story on the Central Perk Coffee Company for its opening as a business piece for my local newspaper, but I managed to get my hands on a cup of coffee and the Moist Maker, which I really liked. I can certainly tell you that it did not felt rushed in some ways. The sandwich took its time to come out of the kitchen, but it was clearly made with a lot of care, and my cup of coffee was pretty bold too. It wasn't some terribly nasty experience or anything. It was just a very good cup of coffee. The ambience was, of course, what you'd expect during an opening. It was a bunch of fans, but if you look at it for what it is, it's a group of dedicated diehards who are just looking for something special. It's not even a replica of the official Friends location, but it's its own thing. It's a modern take on it. It's not like the Friends experience downtown. It's its own thing. read more

We heard Central Perk had recently opened, so we stopped by to check it out since we were in the area. Luckily there wasn't too long of a line to the register. We just got a coffee and a snack, but loved the nods to the show throughout all of the menu items. My chocolate banana muffin and my husband's coffee were good. I expected a little more to be going on here, or for it to at least be more reminiscent of Central Perk from the show, but it was fine for a pit stop during our day. Came here with my cousin since she's a huge Friends fan on a very cold windy day and boy was it packed in there! There was a line to order our drinks and pastries that wasn't too bad. What I will say was the worst part is waiting to get your drink. It took a VERY long time that even the barista apologized for how long it took them to give us our drinks. The seating area isn't big enough for the amount of traction this place gets luckily my cousin was able to grab seats for us while I waited for our drinks. Overall, it's very cute inside but a bit on the pricier side of coffee shops. I would be okay not going back. read more

We stood in line for 37 minutes, and when it was finally our turn to order, they told us they had run out of eggs. That alone was frustrating after such a long wait. I ordered the Joe Tribiani sandwich, and it was awful. The sandwich was cold, the bread was cold and hard like a stone, and completely inedible. I had to remove the top bun just so I could at least eat something. On top of all that, the staff who took our order and prepared the coffee were extremely rude. No apology, no effort to make things right. Overall, terrible service, poor food quality, and a very disappointing experience. Definitely not worth the wait. read more

Came here a few weeks ago during the holiday madness that is here in NYC. I waited in line but the line moved somewhat fast. Once you get inside you wait on another line to order. I got a plain bagel with cream cheese and a hot cappucinno. While I was waiting outside I saw how some one had a friends logo in her drink, so I was hoping for that too. I was wrong. It did take a bit of a ling time to get my drink and bagel. I believe if I am not mistaken these bagels are ess-a-bagels for anyone who wants to know. When I finally got my food and coffee and took one sip of it, it was pretty tasteless and the bagel was just ok. It was hard to find a seat as it was pretty crowded. In the pictures I posted you see how the trash cans are very full/ overflowing... Not sure if they were short staffed or what but, someone should have seen it and changed out the bags. Being a local i was like eh whatever but if I was a tourist, super excited to check out the Friends coffee shop and saw that mess I would be like ew. But no one else seemed to have an issue with it. Would I come back again and try another drink?? eh maybe and also once the holiday tourist leave and the city is less crowded. They do have a photo opportunity with the Special friend's couch which is a cute idea. There is also a little gift shop when you walk in where they sell tshirts and other Friends merch. read more

If you are a fan of the Friends TV show, this is something that you will want to investigate in NYC. It is a large corner space and there are a number of seating areas, a souvenir area, an area to order coffee and snacks, and of course, the large orange couch for photo ops. I do like the orange couch touch but the coffee table provided was not wooden as on the series but a somewhat flimsy circular one. The restaurant lacks the coziness of the space documented on the TV series, but definitely has a certain vibe. It is a fun place to visit [I did not see Gunther] and the souvenir area is great-with large oversized coffee cups [I didn;t see the polka dotted black and white cup offered] ground coffee to purchase with some of the iconic sayings from the show [Pivot, We were on a break etc.] There is a T shirt with the oversized coffee cup as the logo. The souvenirs are pricey but it is worth a visit for coffee or just to sit on the orange couch for a picture. read more

They run out of everything, the Moistmaker and meatball sandwich was disgusting. The matcha latte and hot chocolate tasted like nothing, the cafe baristas were rude, the merchandise area was sold out of 90% of everything, including all mugs. I came back a week later a merchandise was still out but they brought mugs that had the nerve to say "Boston" on them...a joke! The bathrooms were disgusting, the line to take pictures couch on the couch took 20+ minutes both times and there was no one to take a picture of you unless you asked another patron. Someone with a pea sized brain is running this operation. read more
