For those who remembers the show "Friends" will love this place. Just opened 3 months ago but brings back the nostalgia of the Central Perk Coffee House on the Famous sitcom "Friends". I decided to visit since I was staying at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. It was literally a 5 minute walk for me. Coffee and tea tastes great. Very professional and great customer service. They sell salads, Coffee, tea, refreshers, t shirts and other merchandise. The line goes by fast so no long wait. The prices are very reasonable for New York City. If you decide to visit New York and head to Times Square, I would definitely visit here and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and snap a selfie of yourself here while you're at it. Bring all your "Friends" to this iconic NYC cafe when visiting Times Square. Yes, it's touristy. But if you're a fan the TV show, I feel like it completes your nyc fantasy/ experience. I don't expect artisanal gourmet coffee, but it does give you more of a fun thing to say you did in NYC , than let's say, Starbucks. There's food and drinks available, and it's a nice break from walking around Times Square. Bathroom break is always nice b I got the Princess Consuela, and it was alright. But it was cool, for the vibes. Neither exceptional, nor bad. This is located right across from the red steps. read more

If you're a big fan of the show Friends and in NYC this is a must visit at least once. It's basically an overpriced cash grab. Didn't look too clean when I dropped by yesterday and the staff should be wiping off the tables and sweeping up more. Food and drink items on the menu have funny names based on the show's characters. There is a section for Friends souvenirs, shirts, and their own coffee blends to make at home. $4 for a bottle of small Poland Spring water? Yeah, no. Seemed like everything in the fridge was higher priced but it is Times Square area so it should be expected. At least there is a public bathroom here but it was also a bit messy and the soap dispenser was broken off the wall. There is also a photo op spot set up with a couch and chairs. read more

I will preface my review with the fact that I am a huge Friends fan and I came in expecting outrageous prices due to the Times Square location. The two stars is for the cute merch and the great names for the coffee and sandwiches. If I was only reviewing those, the review might be positive. We were staying in Times Square and needed a quick breakfast before we checked out of our hotel. I ordered a cortado and a muffin, my husband ordered a s'mores latte and a bagel, and my friend ordered a chai latte and a muffin. The muffins were edible. That's the positive. The cortado was so bitter I took two sips and dumped it as soon as I got back to our hotel room. My husband's bagel was the worst he's ever had and he threw it away. My friend's chai was basically warm water. We expected more, even from a tourist trap. read more

My friends are fans of the show, so we decided to pop in for breakfast before heading home. The left-hand corner of the room has the couch all set up for the obligatory social media photos. The food and beverage prices are steep, but that's going to be pretty typical for Times Square. We were able to order quickly, and they rotated calling out food and drink orders as they were available. However, I was shocked that the chai was essentially flavorless. Even the spice on top didn't add anything to the taste. One of the reasons I love chai is that it can pack a deep punch with many layers of flavor, but my friends and I agreed that my drink was pretty much just warm liquid that visually resembled chai. They also felt that their snacks and beverages were fairly lackluster, especially at those price points. Overall, it's fun place to stop by for the pictures and nostalgic merch, but I wouldn't recommend the food. read more

I loved watching friends growing up so when we stumbled across Central Perk while walking around Times Square we were delighted! Thanks to the Yelp reviews we looked for "the couch" because we otherwise would have missed it though once we saw it we were surprised we missed it when we first walked in. We weren't the only ones because once people noticed us taking pictures on the couch a line started to form. Core childhood sentiment unlocked! read more

OK, admitting right off the bat that I am giving Central Perk four stars based on the nostalgic experience. If you are a Friends fan and in Times Square, this is a must. Based on other reviews, I decided not to get order anything. I walked in and looked around. Took advantage of the couch photo op. It's a cute idea and great for fans of Friends so I hope they get it together on their menu. read more

I just got out of a matinee and decided to wander around to find some lunch. I saw this, and as a huge Friends fan decided this would be a great option... until I saw the food menu prices.. over $20 for a sandwich!?! Yikes. Didn't end up eating here, but it was cute... loved seeing a few nods here and there to the asthetic of the Friends' set. The coffee and pastries seemed to be at a more understandable price point, but I needed something heartier... and sadly this wasn't it. read more

Went to the soft opening. As a millennial it was a dream to be able to go to central perk in New York. It was the first few days of its soft opening so their was obviously a wait and a line. But I would say the line was moving pretty quickly. The drinks took a bit, but that's ok. They are just opening and learning and the atmosphere was a vibe. Lots of photo worthy areas. You have the. Classic orange couch. Their is also a souvenir section to purchase items and lots of places to stand or sit. Coffee was pretty tasty. read more

If you're a fan of Friends, visiting this new permanent Central Perk in NYC is a must. The line outside to get in took about 15 minutes. Once we were inside we went straight to the "Orange Couch" usually has a line just for people waiting to sit and take a picture. As far as merchandise if you see something you like buy it that moment because they did ran out of the lobster mug I wanted and black shirt. I told myself I'll be back later tonight for them and yep they were all gone! There is plenty of seating area to enjoy your coffee and sandwich while listening to great music. I tried Chandlers iced chocolate cold foam latte it was very good and the Central Perk B.E.C was amazing! That pepper jam gave it such a good balance! read more

So I was assigned to write a story on the Central Perk Coffee Company for its opening as a business piece for my local newspaper, but I managed to get my hands on a cup of coffee and the Moist Maker, which I really liked. I can certainly tell you that it did not felt rushed in some ways. The sandwich took its time to come out of the kitchen, but it was clearly made with a lot of care, and my cup of coffee was pretty bold too. It wasn't some terribly nasty experience or anything. It was just a very good cup of coffee. The ambience was, of course, what you'd expect during an opening. It was a bunch of fans, but if you look at it for what it is, it's a group of dedicated diehards who are just looking for something special. It's not even a replica of the official Friends location, but it's its own thing. It's a modern take on it. It's not like the Friends experience downtown. It's its own thing. read more

Central Perk is for tourists in Times Square and anyone that is a friend's fanatic. I'm not either of these people. You gotta go at least once to feel the vibe. I'm not going to either recommend or not recommend. It's what excites you. I personally did not get the hype. I'd go back with my daughter. Along with her friends she's a fan. read more

I tried the mango lemonade matcha, and it was just okay. The drink looked refreshing, but the flavors didn't blend as well as I expected the mango and lemonade overpowered the matcha, so it tasted more like a fruity lemonade than a matcha drink. The atmosphere was nice, and the staff were friendly, but the drink itself wasn't something I'd order again. It wasn't bad, just not memorable. read more

Had to get some coffee from Central Perk while in NYC! Such a cute Friends themed café! I tried the Chandler's Chocolate Cold Foam latte with oatmilk. It was really delicious! They have the standard coffee drinks; lattes, mochas and cold brew. The food menu includes pastries, bagels and sandwiches. I loved all the Friends references in the names of the items, such as the Moist Maker sandwich! You can sit on the orange couch for a photo op and they have some merchandise. We arrived right at opening at 8am and there weren't very many people in line. If you are a fan of the show then this is the place for you. read more

We heard Central Perk had recently opened, so we stopped by to check it out since we were in the area. Luckily there wasn't too long of a line to the register. We just got a coffee and a snack, but loved the nods to the show throughout all of the menu items. My chocolate banana muffin and my husband's coffee were good. I expected a little more to be going on here, or for it to at least be more reminiscent of Central Perk from the show, but it was fine for a pit stop during our day. None of the merch really grabbed me either. I wouldn't be in a big rush to come back. read more

Central Perk is a fun place to visit if you're a Friends fan, but I definitely think it's more of a tourist stop than a coffee destination. The vibes are cute, but it's right in the middle of Times Square, so it's always packed, and there's usually a line just to take a picture on the couch. The coffee was just okay not even close to the best you'll find in New York. I'd go once for the experience, but I probably wouldn't go back. read more

Came here with my cousin since she's a huge Friends fan on a very cold windy day and boy was it packed in there! There was a line to order our drinks and pastries that wasn't too bad. What I will say was the worst part is waiting to get your drink. It took a VERY long time that even the barista apologized for how long it took them to give us our drinks. The seating area isn't big enough for the amount of traction this place gets luckily my cousin was able to grab seats for us while I waited for our drinks. Overall, it's very cute inside but a bit on the pricier side of coffee shops. I would be okay not going back. read more

It's all about the experience. If you are a huge lover of friends, you should go. No, it is not like Central perk on the show. It's not somewhere that you're gonna sit around with your friends every day for two hours and shoot the breeze. It is about going in to a location that tried really hard to make some areas similar to the TV show. There was a line to get in, but we were not rushed once we were in. Sitting in a coffee shop looking out at Times Square is pretty cool in itself. If they were charging $20 for a cup of coffee, then I would have an issue, but their prices were very competitive. Central Perk - Seating - Sandwiches Near Me - New York, New York

We specifically decided to visit the Central Perk café near Times Square based on our daughter's recommendation--she had heard about it and really wanted to see it for herself. From the moment we walked in, we were charmed by the cozy interior, which felt very pleasant and slightly nostalgic. We ordered a cortado and a cappuccino--both were excellently prepared, with well-balanced flavors and beautifully textured foam. It was clear that attention is paid not only to quality but also to presentation. Beyond the coffee itself, what impressed us most was the overall atmosphere. We felt relaxed, comfortable, and truly able to slow down and enjoy the moment. We were also very pleasantly surprised by the staff's approach. A lady sitting next to us accidentally dropped her shopping when her bag tore as she was leaving. The staff immediately stepped in to help and, without any questions, provided her with a new bag. It was a small moment, but it clearly showed their customer-oriented attitude and willingness to help--exactly the kind of detail that turns a regular visit into a memorable experience. It's an ideal place for a short break during a busy day in the city, whether you're looking for great coffee or just a comfortable place to sit and relax. We would definitely love to come back. read more

We went here on day two of being open and it was a great experience! We waited about 15-20 minutes to get inside and the line moved very quickly. There are separate lines for drinks/food and merch. Super tourist trap vibes, bad coffee, bad food and the theming of everything is so half thought out. It's like someone had an idea and they rushed to get this up within a week. Huge slap in the face to the show and prime location in time square... could've been done sm better. read more

We visited on a Wednesday evening and were shocked there was virtually no line. I didn't even know this place existed, and I was not disappointed. If you're a Friends fan, this café is absolutely worth a stop. It's very clean, well-organized, and full of fun photo opportunities. The staff was helpful, service was fast, and the menu items have clever Friends-themed names. You can eat, drink, and shop for fun merch all in one place. I only ordered a matcha, but it was really good. While it's definitely a touristy spot with higher prices, it brought me a lot of joy and was well worth the visit. read more

Overpriced mediocre food where the main attraction is a couch. The salads and wraps are prepackaged, not made fresh. Basically a tourist trap with only the supposed couch prop from the Friends show that you can only take pictures of--not sit on. We stood in line for 37 minutes, and when it was finally our turn to order, they told us they had run out of eggs. That alone was frustrating after such a long wait. I ordered the Joe Tribiani sandwich, and it was awful. The sandwich was cold, the bread was cold and hard like a stone, and completely inedible. I had to remove the top bun just so I could at least eat something. On top of all that, the staff who took our order and prepared the coffee were extremely rude. No apology, no effort to make things right. Overall, terrible service, poor food quality, and a very disappointing experience. Definitely not worth the wait. read more

Central Perk - Sandwiches Near Me - New York, New York

Came here a few weeks ago during the holiday madness that is here in NYC. I waited in line but the line moved somewhat fast. Once you get inside you wait on another line to order. I got a plain bagel with cream cheese and a hot cappucinno. While I was waiting outside I saw how some one had a friends logo in her drink, so I was hoping for that too. I was wrong. It did take a bit of a ling time to get my drink and bagel. I believe if I am not mistaken these bagels are ess-a-bagels for anyone who wants to know. When I finally got my food and coffee and took one sip of it, it was pretty tasteless and the bagel was just ok. It was hard to find a seat as it was pretty crowded. In the pictures I posted you see how the trash cans are very full/ overflowing... Not sure if they were short staffed or what but, someone should have seen it and changed out the bags. Being a local i was like eh whatever but if I was a tourist, super excited to check out the Friends coffee shop and saw that mess I would be like ew. But no one else seemed to have an issue with it. Would I come back again and try another drink?? eh maybe and also once the holiday tourist leave and the city is less crowded. They do have a photo opportunity with the Special friend's couch which is a cute idea. There is also a little gift shop when you walk in where they sell tshirts and other Friends merch. read more
