Great! We went three times during our trip to NYC. We were lucky to have this restaurant right across from our hotel. We stopped in quite a few mornings. Our hotel did not offer breakfast, so this was perfect! It is not very large, with a few tables on the inside and only a couple outside. The system set up is very strange. When you first walk it, the registers are there on the left but you have to go past them to the end to order. I would have designed it differently personally. The first day, the line was pretty large. They have lots of options, hot breakfast, pastries, bagels etc. I opted for my personal favorite, sesame bagel toasted, with plain cream cheese and bacon. I usually get push back about the bacon, I guess some people find it strange but not here. It was no problem, he repeated back. That made me so happy!! During our stay in NY we also had egg sandwiches, sides of bacon, and croissants and more bagels. Every single thing that we ordered from this restaurant was delicious. There were three of us and we all enjoyed every meal. They also have lunch and dinner with sandwiches and things like that, but we did not try them out for lunch or dinner. We only had breakfast. I unfortunately do not live in New York but if I did, I would definitely come to this place more often. The staff was quick, not the most friendly, but the food and the quickness made up for it. It is conveniently located right next to a really large hotel right on the corner. I would tell everyone staying at the Westin to stop in and get something quick and easy. read more

In a vast land of horrendous quick eateries & pizza shops, Times Sq. Eatery stands out as a respite from the surrounding hellish streets. It is a reliable place to grab a quick to go meal, or there is always a table to eat quickly if on the way to a show. Lee & I have shared the Harvest Turkey sandwhich, a generous turkey, brie & greens on a thickly cut raisin bread. They grill it & it's served with a pickle spear. For under 12 bucks, it is a bargain for the area, IMO. Service is prompt, they make just about everything & your receipt will have a code for the restroom. If you are looking to grab a bite & are not looking for a formal restaurant, this is a great spot, you can't go wrong. read more

We ran into this spot after getting off of our tour bus and it was just what we needed!! I got the freshest avocado on an everything bagel and they also added red chili flakes to the avocado. It was so delicious!! They had many different choices to choose from of different sandwiches and salads. You could also get any of the sandwiches on a bagel. They do have a bathroom there that you can use and they give you a special code on your receipt with a code for the customer only bathroom. First morning in NYC. Coffee is vital to my existence. Of course I wanted to try a bagel. This place was conveniently located and reasonably priced. I went for it! I got an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. The cream cheese had fresh chopped scallions folded into the creamy goodness. I ordered a large latte. Caffeination was critical! The bagel was flavorful with a nice chew. The cream cheese! Fabu! My latte was just the thing to jump start my day. I think I'll add a little each time I stop in. When my wife and I were arriving at the Westin, we noticed The Times Eatery across the street. It was about 7 am when we checked in and we were starving. Once everything was squared away at our hotel, my wife and I didn't waste a moment and headed over to the Times Eatery. To say we were in a hurry is an understatement. Our friend was going to meet up with us at the NYC Marathon Expo. As we got within 10 feet of the restaurant... the line was outside of the door. That told us that this will definitely be a great breakfast. It took us approximately 30 mins to make it to the order station. Since time was of the essence for us, we only looked at the breakfast side of the menu. I ordered a spinach feta omelette sandwich on wheat bread and a coffee. My wife ordered a sesame bagel with plain cream cheese and bacon, and a coffee as well. After we paid for our food, somehow my wife found a small table to sit at. My spinach feta omelette sandwich on wheat tasted absolutely delicious. The bread was buttery, nicely toasted. The omelette was fluffy, cooked perfectly. Loved the spinach and feta was perfect. My wife loved hers sesame bagel with plain cream cheese and bacon. A proper NY bagel... nothing like it . This was a perfect breakfast when on the go. We want to return here for sure. We're visiting NYC. We've gotten used to the fast pace, we get it. We stopped in here this morning because it had exactly what we wanted, and we were really looking forward to eating here. My husband asked the guy in the pic if they had fries, and he said yes. Then he started barking, "what else? what else?!!!" I started to tell him my order and he refused to look at me. He moved on to another customer, and I tried to order with him again after that, FAST, and he moved on to ANOTHER customer. He refused to make eye contact or acknowledge me. Sometimes customers have questions. He chose to punish me because my husband didn't spit his order out as fast as he "should" have ....or maybe he's a misogynist, idk. We left.
