Must try: Espresso Old Fashioned! Why: Love this drink! It was on an old seasonal menu but the bartender was awesome and able to make me one. Smooth and strong, making for a great sip-able cocktail while watching sports highlights on their TVs. Notes: I needed to kill time so stopped in for a cocktail. I also needed to use the bathroom so was able to do both. Clean bathrooms too. Sat at the bar and bartender was welcoming, friendly, helpful and attentive. Def coming back here with friends for a drink and maybe try their food next time. They also have happy hour specials! read more

Central Park Tavern - Espresso Old Fashioned ($16) - Salad Near Me - New York, New York

Went for the USA World Cup game and was really impressed This was my first time coming to this bar/restaurant and my husband's second time. From the outside it looks small but there are 3 sub rooms inside! The space is huge! Probably great for parties. On such a busy day servers were trying their best. It was really packed. Food was coming out with delays. At such events only 21+ Food was a delightful surprise. We got multiple items The SMASHBURGER was amazing ! I really highly suggest it. 10/10 Also the French dip was a solid sandwich. The bread could be a bit crunchier but that's just my preference. The chicken bites were yum as well. Will be back here for future games! read more

This space used to be home to All Star Bar & Grill where my run club would gather after big run events for celebratory drinks. Now, they are gone and the new business here is the Central Park Tavern. It's definitely an upgrade and the inside decor has a more classy look with warm lighting, a new cocktail lounge vibe, new menu of food items, and happy hour Mon-Fri 4pm-7pm. Even the outside facade has a cool old school look to it. I had a drink after picking up race gear at NYRR's across the street, and the service was very nice. read more

ean, who doesn't love a deal - i love a happy hour or daily special but i am no fool and usually expect minimal effort in the drink or bottom of the barrel ingredients - hence why i will be 300% returning here. the martinis go above beyond. we both got pornstar martinis that perfectly balanced sweet and sour with a crispy thick layer of foam on top. - I was eyeing the espresso martini that went by with the same beautiful foam and chocolate(?) sprinkles on top. they really are not slacking with these beauties - the fries are huge baskets. you can pick between two different sizes of fries, but we both got shoestring. they are plentiful and salty, maybe could have crisped for a minute longer. loved the aioli the fries came with too yum read more

Had a work event here in a private room in the back of this bar. Overall it seems like a pretty solid spot to host events. Even if you're not here for events, it looks like a good spot to get together for drinks. Service is actually decent. The bar food that was provided here was alright. Just don't get your hopes up too high. read more

Wonderful staff, good food and a really well curated menu, beverages and food, respectively. The space draws all types of customers, and all are treated well. The handcut fries are phenomenal, next time I may go for fish and chips. read more

Fun sports bar with good food and cocktail options. The bar particularly caters to Bills fans and U of Michigan fans but they have multiple tvs with many games going. The menu is above par for your average sports bar. Order the everything pretzel bites. read more

Not sure what was in this location before or what it looked like inside but this version is really great. It's a warm, cozy, welcoming atmosphere with tvs that don't seem to take over the space. They have a nice happy hour and the menu has an ample variety of pub food that hits the spot. The service was friendly but not as attentive as it should have been. We were enjoying ourselves so it wasn't an issue. We will definitely return especially due to its convenient location to the Columbus Circle subway. Stop by for a drink/bite on your commute home! read more

Friendly bar with excellent food. Service was attentive, but the food was the draw. My French dip was outstanding, with tender strips of beef and a hearty consommé. Plenty of TVs to keep up with sports while you dine. A great place to spend an evening. read more

Excellent, friendly service great nachos and a good place to hang out and watch the game.

Was in the other night with a friend. Hadn't been there in a while. The bartenders were very nice, service was wonderful, and the ambiance is fun. Definitely recommend it!!! read more

If you want to give your money away to a place that doesn't care about their employees' well being, this is the place for you! Don't worry about tipping, they won't see a dime. But that's okay, just hope you get assigned to the rudest server in the world and you won't feel bad about not tipping! Plenty of places with cheaper beer, better food, and nicer owners :) read more

Good spot near Columbus Circle - perfect for work drinks. Our server was super attentive and quick with drinks, which made things easy for a larger group! read more

We were in New York just on a whim. I really just wanted good wings. I know there are so many other places, so I did a random search and lo and behold, behold and lo Central Park Tavern appeared. The wings looked good so we went and let me tell you, we are soooo glad we did. The hospitality on this new gem was great and we added this spot to our roster of favorite eats. The wings were sooo good. My boyfriend is a burger guy and very picky. He melted when biting into that smash burger. I had a corner of it and it was delicious. Thank you Central Park Tavern. You have new avid customers when we are in town. read more

Hi The place is very nice, Nina the bartender was great! However, the burger on the lunch special is very smaller - nothing compared to the one shown on the menu/flyer. read more

Absolutely incredible place!!!!! Convenient location, strong drinks, bartender Johnny is an absolute stud & so so kind and accommodating. He makes you feel warm inside like the martinis. Cannot recommend enough. read more

This IS the game day experience you're looking for! Game audio was pumping through a high end surround system. DJ playing music during commercial breaks. As a fan that really wants to watch the game not just see it on a TV in the corner, I Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The food was amazing. We just shared a few appetizers but the chicken bites were great, and the tuna crispy rice was so good we ordered a second portion. The service was also exceptional. We sat at the bar with Emmett who was very busy but never let us feel it. Anything we ordered was made thoughtfully and tasted great. We had a few of the martinis and a tequila cocktail. Shoutout to Emmett for being the reason we will come back! read more

Ordered the Tavern Burger medium rare, and it came out beyond well done. The flavor wasn't great and it was honestly difficult to eat. For a $26 burger, this was really disappointing. The staff are really friendly, and it looks great inside, but with the namesake burger being that bad, I don't think I'll be back. read more

Great place to watch games and hang out!!! Very comfortable. Good ambiance. Looking forward to going back

My favorite drink of the night was the rodeo! I loved the pretty pink color and the taste of the tequila with the coconut! There's also so many tvs around the bar which allows you to enjoy multiple games at once! Got to try the nachos and the Cesar salad which were both phenomenal! If you're around Central Park you should definitely stop on by for yummy cocktails! read more

Central Park Tavern - The Rodeo and east side story - Salad Near Me - New York, New York

I gave CPT 2 stars because it was clean and the food was fresh. However, the food was bland, and the atmosphere was unwelcoming. On the plus side, the place is clean, spacious, and has a lot of TVs. On the negative side, almost every TV was tuned to the Michigan/Purdue game. We had to beg and plead to tune TVs to Game 7 of the World Series and the top college game of the day. I understand that CPT is a Michigan-friendly bar, but not all 100 TVs need to be airing a mid-level Big Ten game over playoff-relevant games that are on simultaneously. When they did change the TVs to games that interested us, the sets were at odd angles, which forced us into uncomfortable positions to watch. The food was expensive, mediocre, and our bartender had an attitude. The menu was limited, even for pub grub. The wings were bland and unremarkable. I wanted a burger, but they only had one unappealing burger option. Therefore, I chose the Nashville Hot Chicken instead. After I ordered, I was engrossed in my game when the bartender interrupted to ask if I wanted my Nashville Hot Chicken fried or grilled. I was stunned at the question and asked her to repeat her query. I explained that the dish as described on the menu was fried. This lack of authenticity made me consider changing my order, but I wanted to get back to the game. The sandwich was mediocre at best. The ingredients were fresh, but the sandwich lacked flavor beyond the chicken. I could barely taste the hot sauce, making it simply a fried chicken sandwich. I am more of a medium-hot and spicy person, but the spices were scarcely noticeable. The fries were ok, but unremarkable. I understand that CPT is a Michigan bar. However, some people might be interested in a college game with playoff implications or a Game 7 of the World Series. That we were made to feel like second-class citizens for wanting to watch relevant games rather than a mid-level Big Ten game was unacceptable. We had asked politely and were patient. They kept insisting they were a Michigan bar, but eventually allowed us to watch other important games. There were approximately 100 TVs, and the place is enormous, so allocating 2 for patrons interested in important games seems inconsequential. read more

Hot dog tower was amazing! Really cool inside and festive during the holidays! Service was great!

Had a great time. Ordered primarily appetizers and they were great. We had a few drinks as well which came out great as well. An employee Erika helped us make the right selections throughout the night. Hope to be seeing this establishment again soon. The multiple sections of the place really help with the bar feeling / restaurant. read more

I love Central Park Tavern. The service is consistently exceptional -- everyone is welcoming, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel taken care of. The ambiance is amazing, with the perfect mix of cozy, vibrant, and stylish. It's the kind of place you walk into and instantly feel comfortable. My favorite drink hands down is the East Side Story. It's perfectly balanced, refreshing, and hands-down one of the best cocktails I've had in the area. If you're looking for a spot with great energy, top-tier drinks, always sports on the TV and standout service Central Park Tavern is the place to be!! Will be back tomorrow night! read more
