I have found my new favorite music venue! This place is a hidden gem. We came to see Yonder Mountain Strings Band and they didn't disappoint. The venue is super nice, clean and comfortable. Fantastic venue, intimate setting with stackable seating to allow for lounge like seating ( tables for four) as with tonight's incredible Schmaltz and Pepper Klezmer concert, or traditional seating as with Coastal Ballet's Nutcracker 2 weeks ago. This theater is such a gem for the Largo area community and visitors. I saw two performances there this week: an Irish comedy show and 9 to 5 by the Eight O'Clock Theatre group. I especially enjoyed 9 to 5. The performers were as good as any on Broadway! As this was a musical, their voices soared and didn't fail. I look forward to seeing more of their shows in the future. All seats are good seats in the main sections: A, B, and C. The seat depth is excellent--with a lot of room for your legs. They also have a small concession booth offering drinks and small snacks at very reasonable prices. Parking is excellent and convenient. Ticket prices are affordable too at about $35 per seat, including taxes and fees. read more

We went to the dance show called "IT DON'T MEAN A THING: A TRIBUTE TO SWING" on Saturday night, 9/25/21 and totally LOVED it! Each member of the orchestra on stage was a total pro, several Grammy winners, and the dancers were fun and superb at their art. The music was upbeat, totally pro, but varied and popular songs were chosen, like Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and I'm all about the Bass which are some of my favs. Lyla Menkhaus, the Project Producer was a doll! She apparently pulled together 12 other top performers including the adorable Hana-Li and pulled off a masterpiece of SWING!! read more

On the land that used to be the Rennaissance Festival grounds sits that Largo Cultural center. It's a large play house with a beautiful stage, and a lovely back stage area for participants to get ready. This was my thrid visit to the LCC, and normally I'd be the one up there preforming, but due to being sick, i was unable to be in the spotlight. Instead, i was in the very comfortable seats, directly in the middle with an excellent view of the performers putting on Ms Linda's annual production of "Steppin' Out!" I was very pleased with the will call booth and with the restroom facilities. Everything was neat and clean. read more

Thursday night was my first visit here to see a performance, and I enjoyed this very small venue! I saw West Side Story, presented by Eight O'Clock Theatre, because my friend's daughter had a role as one of the Sharks' girls. And I thoroughly enjoyed watching my first performance here! The day prior, when I'd looked online, the only available seats were on the side, general-admisiion *obstructed view*. Since I would be alone, I wasn't horribly concerned. Because my friend had advised me to call the box office instead of ordering online to save the $7 convenience fee, I called & was delighted my ticket was even a couple of dollars less than what I thought was the ticket price. And then, on the night of the performance, when I found my friend, she told me she'd been able to buy a couple of reserved seats earlier that day so I could sit with her. As we went inside, I noticed those side GA seats WERE very much on the side, but NOT obstructed at all. And the seating looked incredibly comfortable for folding chairs - so that would've been a decent place to sit. My friend's seats were on the next-to-last row of reserved seating, near center... and I felt like I was very close to the action! The acoustics in the theatre were quite good, and the small orchestra pit had an excellent sound. Our seats were well-cushioned & very comfortable, plus I had plenty of legroom. The quality of this performance was equal to other theatre productions I've seen at much larger venues! I'm definitely looking forward to enjoying another performance there soon! read more

This is a really nice community center. If you're used to seeing shows at Ruth Eckerd Hall, The Straz Center, or The Mahaffey Theater it can be quite a surprise the first time you come here. This place is quite small in comparison (less than 500 seats). However, that's not necessarily a bad thing. I actually really enjoy coming to shows here. Because of the size even in the "worst" seats you're still relatively close to the stage. I've been in shows at The Straz where I was so far away I wondered why I even bothered going. The seats are comfortable. I've seen a few shows here where the artist will come out after the show and pose for pictures with fans. You won't see that happening at larger venues! There's ample free parking also, which is really nice. It wasn't that long ago that you couldn't buy tickets online, so that is a really nice improvement. There are parking lots on both sides of the building, but if it's raining there is a covered drop off on the west side. read more

I've been attending shows here for years. Easy access, friendly staff ( including Briget so is an absolute doll! ). Comfortable seating, and great entertainment. Pricing a little high, but overall good experiences for all ages. read more

I did an event at the Largo Cultural Center and as a professional photographer, I can say they have a really nice facility. It was clean and well lit. The equipment they provided worked very well, and their grounds were immaculate. The staff was kind and professional. It's probably a great place for anyone without social issues but a disappointing place for a child with autism. We went on a field trip with 3rd graders to see Charlottes Web. Only 2 schools. My student is autistic and doesn't have long attention and noises bother him. Instead of keeping him back at school we brought him along with an iPad. We sat behind everyone so we wouldn't bother anyone. I understand there are rules. Rules don't always work with special kids. The way we were asked to shut if off was by adults from the light room, over the play, from the back of the room. Couldn't someone come to me and ask without causing a scene for the entire audience to here and look. Learn to deal with different disabilities! So disappointed! read more

Most of their shows are good/very good. Saw last night's "Freddie Mercury" show. Horrible. Uncomfortably bad. A glaring, indelible skidmark on the reputation of the CPPAC, (not their first) which should refund for every ticket sold, with an abject apology. Most of the audience were seniors, isn't selling inferior products to seniors against the law? We left at intermission. Gave the show an F, a "4" at best. read more

Saw Zoso, the LED Zeppelin tribute band last night in Largo, Florida. Wish we hadn't. Don't know if it was their fault, the Central Park Performing Arts Center, or the sound man, but in our opinion, the instruments drowned out almost all of the vocals and were half again too loud, period. Maybe legally too loud, we sat in the back row in expectation it would be too loud, we left early because of it (and I wear two hearing aids!) This is not the first time we've run into that there. I honestly believe the proper officials should check decibel levels there regularly, and enforce proper, safe levels. We thought the Zoso musicians were excellent, but the volume ruined the show for us. read more

We live local to this area and up to now have had a good experience attending shows here. We bought tickets to the "Tom Petty Free Fallin Tribute" for a total of $51.00. The tickets were general admission so we knew that there wouldn't be assigned seating. When we arrived prior to the event, there are NO SEATS available and lots of were people standing. Seating was cabaret (which they did not identify when we purchased our tickets) taking up lots of space that could have been used for seats. We asked the ushers about seats and they told us there were none and could talk to Donna the Event Manager. We asked for Donna at the Box office but were told she didn't have a phone. And the woman at the ticket counter said they were still selling tickets. In the lobby, we found Jimmy, one of the assistants who told us this was standard procedure and that we should wait until the concert started and people would go up the stage so we could take their chairs....REALLY! We ask for a refund and were refused. The Largo City website provides no personnel to contact for the Art Center. So with no recourse and not being able to stand for 3 hours we came home without seeing the concert. Poor advertisement, poor management and poor customer service. So if you buy a ticket (we won't any more), there is no guarantee you will get a seat. read more

I attended "Shrek" at the Largo Cultural Center, the first time I've been to that venue, and was pleasantly surprised. On the small side, it has great sight lines and reasonably comfortable seating. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to return. read more

Went to catch Bria Skonberg last night. Wow are she and her band fantastic! And you know the best part? We didn't have to wear our earplugs! I can't remember the last concert that we attended that I didn't need to protect my hearing. Really a GREAT venue when the sound is handled correctly. We are definitely new Bria fans! I wish more people had attended, but I am really glad we didn't miss it. This pretty lady can sing and plays a mean trumpet. It was so nice to hear some nice clarinet playing too. read more
