I've been going here for over six months and I have seen results with my vertigo. The office staff are very friendly and helpful. The office is also clean and Becky who is my PT is great she knows exactly what needs to be done to help me get better. I recommend central Oahu PT to all ages.

This was my first time ever seeing a physical therapist so I was nervous to say the least. After receiving the referral from my PCP, they called me the very next day to schedule my first appointment which is awesome because most referrals either don't call you or call a couple weeks later. I chose this particular practice and location due to its accommodating hours and proximity between work and home. When you arrive, due to COVID restrictions, you must answer all the questions (as with most businesses). They ask that you wait in the hall and call the number posted on their office door to let reception know that you have arrived. When it's your appointment time, your physical therapist will come out and check your temperature. Simple and safe! My particular therapist is Erin and she is the bomb.com! She is very personable, funny, and listens to you. She customizes workouts/exercises tailored specifically to you, your lifestyle, and your ailments. I enjoy going every week - of course my favorite part is when my knee gets massaged :) The reception staff is wonderful - they're all so nice and friendly! I have since moved and this location is no longer close to me but I still insist on coming here and seeing Erin!

I went to Central Oahu Physical Therapy in Aiea due to my knee giving me problems. The office is located inside the Old Bank of Hawaii Building on the 7th Floor. It is. Very busy place. Wait time to see the P.T. Was Minimal. When Andrew called me back, I was unsure of what to expect. Andrew made me feel comfortable. We talked about football, Surf and Food: Hawaiian and Southern BBQ. Andrew has me to me a series of movements with my knee, legs, and even tested my strength. Once he determined my prognosis, Andrew explained it to me clearly. Then we did more exercises. Andrew massaged the ligament until it became numb. I was amazed. Dr. Knows his stuff. I'm writing this review almost a week later. Following the doctors orders and knee has been okay. Super excited for my next appointment.

Over the past few months, both my husband and I have been suffering with shoulder pain. At times, the pain has been quite debilitating that we've put our golfing and gym workouts aside. We even ended up seeing a physiatrist who prescribed physical therapy sessions to address our aches and pains because we just couldn't stand it any longer. LOCATION: Central O'ahu Physical Therapy is located in the Pearlridge Bank of Hawai'i building. Their 10 therapists have consolidated their practice into a large suite (Ste. 707) from their former split offices. This new suite has a gorgeous ocean view overlooking historic Pearl Harbor. In my opinion, the view can almost distract you from your aches as you work with your physical therapist. EXPERIENCES: My husband had worked with PT Bernie Soriano for his knee problem so due to familiarity, he has requested to be under Bernie's care again for his shoulder. As for me, I was assigned to Bobby Tagawa for my shoulder issue. Both physical therapists have a calm yet, personable demeanor. As the therapist runs you through a series of range of motion exercises (some trigger the discomfort or pain), the therapist begins to assess or evaluate the problem(s) and what led to the issue. I find it essential to provide as much detailed feedback. Your feedback will assist the therapist in recommending the appropriate course of therapy which includes strengthening or stabilization. You can tell that they are knowledgeable and very skilled at what they do. So, while I may hem and haw until my shoulder issue is resolved, I feel confident that my physical therapist, Bobby Tagawa, will get me back to playing golf again, soon!

I'll update after my visit. I was looking for a bone doctor closer to home vs driving to town. After meeting Dr.Mariya O. I plan to switch to her. She is young, pretty and so thorough. Besides an X-ray of my knee, she also approved a wrist and hip X-ray while I was down on the 2 nd floor's Imaging Department. She hails from Bulgaria and England. She is great! She answered all my questions, went over every X-ray with easy explanations. She pinpointed where the aging of arthritis has set in and what treatments I can seek at home and medically. She administered a shot to my right knee( which made the hardest contact when my left foot Went like the White Rabbit down a hole in the ground) The soft tissue is still puffy like a marshmallow. She referred me to a hand specialist which made 2 nd point of contact to break the forward, downward almost belly flop propulsion to the ground. It's a wonder the Palisades neighborhood didn't feel tremors. As for my hip X-rays I asked her what's that black section that looked like bubbles at the top left corner. She said, that's gas in your bowel. Oh my- good one. Then she asked do you have pain in your groin? No I replied then thought... that's another story. I am very happy that Dr. Michael Chun(podiatrist) referred me to that office two days after the mishap and I fortunately have met Dr. Mariya O.to take care of me. She informed me that a new office will be coming to Mililani. Keep safe, take care and stay on sidewalks. watch out for holes in uneven yards camouflaged by a grass.

New hire, Alden took my temperature, blood pressure and weight then escorted me to Room #6. Dr. Fei soon entered. He's very easy to talk to and I was able to ask him questions I had concerns about. During my first visit I got a shot in my left thumb joint. Today I got shots in both thumb joints and decided upon surgery on my left hand after our summer Disneyland trip and in between child sitting the grand kiddies. Next time I see Dr. Fei may be in the operating room. The date of surgery was chosen on one of his Monday surgery dates and is pending authorization. Geoff will submit the request. I was told that even though we selected a date to have the thumb and carpal tunnel worked on I needed to be flexible cuz surgery could be cancelled from one week prior to the actual day of surgery. Oooh... pins and needles, needles and pins. Que sera sera. I changed my fur bebe's annual vet visit that was scheduled the same day. Fingers crossed things will work out fine. I was informed that the surgery is painful for about 2 months, plus the accessories of a splint and cast. Also recovery will take at least 6 months or more with physical therapy. I figured do it rather than prolong the decision. So much to look forward to so ...just get it done. If the surgery happens another star might be added.

From my very first appointment, I felt very disrespected and invalidated. I just wanted to put an end to the excruciating pain I had been dealing with as sophomore in high school at the time. He picks and chooses who he wants to be nice to. If your pediatrician referred your child to come here for issues regarding your child's spine health, please consider other places. Shriners Children's is an awesome hospital but watch out for him because apparently he works there now too. There was no improvement every appointment I went to because he has stated he doesn't have much experience dealing with my problem (2 lumbar disc herniations that caused a compressed sciatic nerve). So glad I have found another doctor. It has been 2 years now since I last seen Dr. Izuka, I feel much more secure and comfortable knowing I can see my new doctor and not be afraid. Also, there is also something very internally wrong with the lady that guards the toys. Why lay it all out there like that and expect people, especially children, to behave a certain manner?

First, the receptionist was horrible. When we walked in, the first thing I heard was her complaining to another patient, saying: "Thank you for asking if you can have a toy. So many parents just take it and don't even ask." I get it--she's frustrated--but was this conversation necessary, out loud, in public? This was my first impression, and it was far from professional. Next, I was given a form to fill out on behalf of my 16-year-old son. The receptionist told me to sign where it was highlighted, so that's what I did. She then rudely pointed out: "Ah, Mom. You missed so many questions." I apologized and explained that I thought I only needed to sign in the highlighted areas, and I offered to take the form back to complete it. Instead, she loudly asked invasive questions like: "Is your son adopted?" "What school does he go to?" She even made an unnecessary comment at the end, saying: "You failed--minus points for your mom." This level of unprofessionalism was shocking. For reference, this receptionist is extremely overweight, so you'll know who I'm talking about. Finally, we met Dr. Izuka. If I thought the receptionist was bad, Dr. Izuka was worse. He walked into the room and immediately started yelling at my son. My 16-year-old plays soccer and recently injured his knee during a game. Our pediatrician recommended seeing Dr. Izuka for further assessment and possibly an MRI, as nothing was found on the initial X-ray. All Dr. Izuka did was make my son bend down and touch his toes. My son isn't very flexible and could barely reach his toes. Dr. Izuka started yelling, saying: "WHAT THE HELL? You play soccer, and that's all you can do?" I was stunned. I've never experienced such unprofessionalism in my life. This wasn't constructive criticism; it was bullying. Dr. Izuka continued berating my son the entire time. He said things like: "You go to Kamehameha School, and you don't even know the answer to that?" This had nothing to do with my son's condition, and it was completely inappropriate. I was ready to walk out of the office right then and there. Long story short, all we got out of today's visit was my son being told to stretch, along with being insulted and humiliated. Don't ever go here. This was a complete waste of time and money, and I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone.
