On top of that, at the end of each session Kyle massaged the muscle and arm before I left each time. My recovery was totally due to the caring professional staff and service I received at this Aiea facility, to include the front desk staff as well! We knew from the very beginning that this was going to be a long road to recovery, but he was finally able to "graduate" from PT in October 2025, a whole 11 months after his surgery. We are so thankful to Kyle and all the staff at SportsMedicine Aiea for everything they did for my son to help him gain his strength back in his knee. For a whole 11 months, we spent afternoons there 3 days a week, so it really did feel like family there. The front desk staff was always so friendly and helpful and my son had nothing but nice and positive things to say about the therapists there. It was a bittersweet moment when Dr. Oishi told us he didn't have to go to PT anymore. It was great news to hear, but sad at the same time that we never got to say a proper goodbye to the staff at SportsMedicine. So thankful you Kyle and everyone at SportsMedicine, for everything you did to help in Elijah's recovery. We miss you guys, but we hope we never have to visit your clinic again soon

I've gone to MANY (about 25 or more) physical therapists to land up that they could not do anything and I felt there was nothing I could do. I never thought I would find a therapist until NOW!!! Doug Weiss, (The new Physical Therapist) was recommended by another physical therapist (Taylor Au) from Honolulu. Taylor couldn't help me and suggested Doug. A person who had a stoke doesn't need "any ole" therapist. That patient needs a STOKE THEARAPIST. DOUG IS THE ONE! Taylor, thank you! 1. He tells me to some things that can do at this time. He tells me what I cannot do at this time. He tells me if I'll EVER be able to do some things and approximately when I can to it if I try. 2. He reminds me that I didn't cause it and what I can do to get over it if I want to. 3. He tells me common sense things so I can understand. Physical therapists should do there referals because it helps everyone. No one asked me to write is note.

They were able to do a maneuver that stopped my vertigo for almost a year which is crazy because I get chronic vertigo. I have had the Epley maneuver done on me many times. This is the first time it actually worked and my vertigo stayed away for such a long time. The staff here is great. I think I rotated between 3 people and all were really friendly and good at what they do. I highly recommend them!

You actually look…read moreforward to "coming back to get better" ;) -- I went through 15 Sessions of Physical/Aqua Therapy from 03.09.26 to 05.01.26. For me, PT has been a slow and painful process. I still had very little mobility, 3 months post L5-S1 TLIF Surgery on 12.11.25. I was injured in the Army in 2001. Anyhow, not knowing what to expect... Everyone that I had the honor of rehabilitating with, took EXCELLENT care of me!!! It was a very humbling and personable experience. I thought that being injured for so long, I would never regain function or feeling in my right foot and toes that had been numb for over 2 years. I've had nerve damage for over 24 years. Even, after surgery, the numbness was still there. However, during the 12th session in the Aqua Tank, I felt pain on the outside of my right foot and middle toe for the FIRST TIME IN 2 YEARS. So, the nerves are "waking up"?? Unfortunately, the pain was temporary and the numbness came back right away. But, "Hey, it's a Good Sign, right?" -- BIG "Shout Out" and "Mahalo nui loa" to Dr. Callie Rucker for your positive encouragement and for letting me know that it's OK to not be so GungHo when it comes to taking it slow and allowing myself to heal properly. -- Btw, looking forward to seeing all of you again on May 18th for 15 more Sessions. The hand massages and now the arm to shoulder massages are good then there's the exercises using various gadgets, sticks, balls, squeeze wheels and more. Treatments are so different for hands vs shoulders. The 55 minute sessions go quickly.

The staff at Movement Plus make the process much more an enjoyable experience. Considering the pandemic that we're currently in, going to a facility that is clean, enforces social distancing and emphasizes sanitizing and cleanliness is one of the paramount concerns. The crew here do an amazing job of creating and maintaining the most sterile and germ free environment. Assuming that you adhere to the social norm of wearing your mask at all times while in and indoor, non-eating environment, as soon as you arrive you have to sign in. They have a "Clean Pens" and "Used Pens" container that is well labeled so that you don't get confused between the two. They also have a COVID questionnaire to further ensure minimized exposure. As soon as you've completed those, they record your temperature and show it to you for verification. Once that's completed your training facilitator starts you on your work out. The ladies that work there are incredibly personable and knowledgable. A great blend when you're doing something that's less than inspiring. If you have to treadmill, as soon as you're done with it they wipe down the equipment. If you have to use any of the equipment, they normally will lay down a towel for you to use and again, to maintain cleanliness and safety. The equipment that they have in the small area is amazing. They literally have every and anything that you might need to help speed your way to a productive recovery. I've been going to them for a few weeks now and it seems like every week, I'm introduced to a new machine or workout. They also have electro STEM therapy as well as Ultra Sound probes (or whatever they are, but they have em!). They also have separate rooms for massage therapy should you require that as well. All of the massage therapists are excellent and will help get you right in no time. All in all, Movement Plus is an oasis in a wasteland of uncertainty in this period of time where sanitation is of foremost importance and customer service is a luxury, you get it all. Definitely highly recommended and some place that you'll want to go for your rehab and physical therapy needs!

Sean was thorough, clear, and quick checking me in. The waiting room is a little small. When I was filling out paperwork, the seating was almost full. With one seat left, I opted to stand. COVID has caused me to avoid sitting close to others. A seat opened up in the front outside the waiting room. I sat there. Ashley took me in after only a couple of minutes. The space we went to was small but clean and spacious enough. The therapist's spaces are close, so there isn't enough space to accommodate those who prefer more privacy. I'm okay with that. Ashley was warm, friendly, professional, and accommodating. After inputting my info into the computer, she gently created my hand braces. She was delicate yet swift. She also mentioned that if I needed to have them adjusted, she would try to fit me in before my next appointment. I highly recommend this rehab center for those in need. Thank you Ashley, these braces feel great and will reduce or eliminate my pain.
